• Android TelephonyManager.getNetworkType() returned constant values in bearer speed order?

  TelephonyManager.getNetworkType() returns one of the constant values. It appears that the constant values have an integer order, by possible bearer link speed. I know using constant values used in the following manner is generally bad, however could one use this to determine a basic cutoff for application functionality and have it work between API levels?   Currently, I have an HQL query that returns all Members who possess ANY Award from a set of specified Awards: from Member m left join m.awards as a where a.name in ("Trophy","Ribbon"); What I now need is HQL that will return all Members who possess ALL Awards specified in the set of Awards. So, assuming this data: Joe has Trophy, Medal Sue has Trophy, Ribbon Tom has Trophy, Ribbon, Medal The query above would return Joe, Sue, and Tom because all three possess at least one of Trophy or Ribbon. But I need to return only Sue and Tom, because they are the only ones who possess all of the specified awards (Trophy and Ribbon).   Hello, I have a big problem with installing a certificat for nginx (same happends with apache though) I have 3 files __domain_com.crt __domain_com.ca-bundle and ssl.key. • Returning value of static property from public instance property

  I was just playing around with some code in LINQPad and managed to crash the program with a stackoverflow exception. I basically created a static property in a class and used another property to return the value from an instance. The getter of my instance property would return the value of the static property, but the setter would set itself. When would this type of pattern be used and how come it generated a stackoverflow exception?   Is there a tutorial that goes along with the PetClinic application? I have been trying to find one, but google is not helping me today. Specifically, I dont understand things like: @Autowired - what does that even mean? @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET) public String setupForm(@RequestParam("petId") int petId, ModelMap model) { Pet pet = this.clinic.loadPet(petId); model.addAttribute("pet", pet); return "petForm"; } How can a request return just a string? Shouldnt it need to return some sort of ModelAndView? Or does the application somehow redirect to whatever is returned?   I have a class that has an output() method which returns a matplotlib Figure instance. I have a decorator I wrote that takes that fig instance and turns it into a Django response object. I'm thinking it has something to do with self not getting passed where it's supposed to...

• Big smart ViewModels, dumb Views, and any model, the best MVVM approach?

  The following code is a refactoring of my previous MVVM approach (Fat Models, skinny ViewModels and dumb Views, the best MVVM approach?) in which I moved the logic and INotifyPropertyChanged implementation from the model back up into the ViewModel. This makes more sense, since as was pointed out, you often you have to use models that you either can't change or don't want to change and so your MVVM approach should be able to work with any model class as it happens to exist. This example still allows you to view the live data from your model in design mode in Visual Studio and Expression Blend which I think is significant since you could have a mock data store that the designer connects to which has e.g. the smallest and largest strings that the UI can possibly encounter so that he can adjust the design based on those extremes. Questions: I'm a bit surprised that I even have to "put a timer" in my ViewModel since it seems like that is a function of INotifyPropertyChanged, it seems redundant, but it was the only way I could get the XAML UI to constantly (once per second) reflect the state of my model. So it would be interesting to hear anyone who may have taken this approach if you encountered any disadvantages down the road, e.g. with threading or performance. The following code will work if you just copy the XAML and code behind into a new WPF project.   I seem to have a unicode problem with the deal_instance_name in the Deal model. It says: coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, __proxy__ found The exception happens on this line: return smart_unicode(self.deal_type.deal_name) + _(u' - Set No.') + str(self.set) The line works if I remove smart_unicode(self.deal_type.deal_name) but why? Back then in Django 1.1 someone had the same problem on Stackoverflow I have tried both the unicode() as well as the new smart_unicode() without any joy.   Hello, I have a test suite to perform smoke tests. I have all my script stored in various classes but when I try and run the test suite I can't seem to get it working if it is in a class. • Saving State Dynamic UserControls...Help!

  I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method. I'm still getting the following error: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases. Whenever I use the python interpreter to import a Project just to test the functionality i get a name error for line 8 that FileRepo() cannot be found. How Can I import these classes correctly?   Hi I want to find a programmatic solution using C++. I have a 900 files each of 27MB size. (just to inform about the enormity ). Each file has 55K rows and Varying columns. But the header indicates the columns I want to sort the rows in an order w.r.t to a Column Value. I wrote the sorting algorithm for this (definitely my newbie attempts, you may say). This algorithm is working for few numbers, but fails for larger numbers.
