• Simple graphics import and manipulation

  What do I need to do something like this? User builds a diagram and tags certain boxes and circles with text. User imports diagram into my program. My program processes the tagged boxes and circles and fills them with different colors. My program exports color-filled diagram. So the questions are... What graphics format supports tag-able boxes and circles? What existing application should I recommend users to use to produce diagrams in the above format? Would this graphics format be very easily readable in code to do things like reading tags and coloring in the associated boxes and circles? Free / open source libraries and apps are desired as this would be for academic use. Thank you!

• IE 7 CSS problem with detecting mouse over on div

  I have a div inside an li as part of a top navigation for a website. I'm having trouble with IE 7 having "holes" in the box such that the drop down disappears when the user is still on the drop down. I started with a pure CSS solution (li:hover) and that works awesome in all browsers except IE 7. So I've now added a jQuery/javascript solution to detect when the mouse enters and exits the nav li and then add a class to show the drop down. It works better, but if the mouse is not over an image, p, h3, or a tag then it doesn't think I'm over the div that is the drop down. Very frustrating. I can post some test code, but the issue can be viewed here: http://davincidays.org/ Anyone have any ideas? I've been working on this for waaaay too long already and need some fresh things to try.

  I love the controls from the Bag-Of-Tricks. I am interested in modifying the ReorderListBox control to get a ReorderListView control. However, simply changing the base class from ListBox to ListView is not working. When I try to add a ReorderListView to XAML like this: <lib:ReorderListView Grid.Row="1"> <ReorderListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Data1" /> </GridView> </ReorderListView.View> </lib:ReorderListView> I get an error ("The tag 'ReorderListView.View' does not exist in XML namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation'.) How do I modify the ReorderListBox example to get this to work? Has anyone already succeeded in doing this?

  Hi again, I have the following tag included in my HTML which causes the JEditorPane not to show the HTML output. <META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> Not so much a big deal but anyone know why this would happen? Cannot find too much documentation on this - best I came up with was someone having a go a few years ago to see what was supported on retro virus site. At the minute I'm doing a simple find replace on the string which is not good - are there any better ways? I've seen a lot of people saying that RegEx is no good. • Updating a popup window from source page

  I have a list of people wrapped in a-tags with onclick for opening a popup window. That popup window contains a previous and next button that invoker a function in the parent window to get the previous/next a-tag and execute the onclick for it. nextAnchor.onclick(); This should update the popup window with the new persons info, but it doesn't update. Adding an alert("") right after makes it update. What i found searching is something about having to leaving the session before JavaScript will update the display and they suggested using setTimeout. Problem is i'm calling on a DOM element and i can't send it in to the setTimeout, so i ended up with setTimeout('eval("'+nextAnchor.getAttribute("onClick")+'")',10); So is there another way to make it update or a way of making the setTimeout use the onclick of a DOM element or is this an acceptable solution even though it uses eval?

  Hi I am new to programming and have tried to make a facebook app with open graph beta tutorial. I have done exactly as described in the tutorial but when i try to use the debug tool it gives me an error: Extraneous Property: Objects of this type do not allow properties named og:app_id. I have noticed and searched that its doing this because the tag needs to be <fb:app_id>. I checked my file it says fb:app_id only, but the raw data that pulls up on the debug tool shows meta property="og:app_id" content="267029796703617" even though i have changed and uploaded with fb:app_id. I have checked my page several times and tried some possible solutions but have had no success. Can someone help me fix this.

I would like to do a query on a data like CN=aaa, OU=Domain,OU=User, OU=bbbbbb,OU=Department, OU=cccc, OU=AUTO, DC=dddddd, DC=com and I need to group all users by the same ou=department. How can I do the select with the substring to search a department??   After seeing several threads rubbishing the regexp method of finding a term to match within an HTML document, I've used the Simple HTML DOM PHP parser (http://simplehtmldom.sourceforge.net/) to get the bits of text I'm after, but I want to know if my code is optimal. It feels like I'm looping too many times.   SmtpClient() allows you to add attachments to your mails, but what if you wanna make an image appear when the mail opens, instead of attaching it? As I remember, it can be done with about 4 lines of code, but I don't remember how and I can't find it on the MSDN site. EDIT: I'm not using a website or anything, not even an IP address. The image(s) are located on a harddrive. When sent, they should be part of the mail. So, I guess I might wanna use an tag... but I'm not too sure, since my computer isn't broadcasting.

  Trying to deserialize some xml snippits into objects. The problem is that I'm getting an invalid format on every empy element tag. I can deserialize the object no problem when all of the elements have values. Or the empty elements are ommitted. • Detect EXIF Orientation of an image in javascript

  In my mobile web application, I have a need to examine the EXIF orientation tag of an image file selected using an input type=file control, and this needs to be done on the client side in javascript, before the selected image file gets uploaded to the server. I have seen several threads similar to this but most of them say to use a library called binaryajax.js to be able to access the EXIF data from the file object. Unfortunately, simply including binaryajax.js in my project causes an Access Denied error in jQuery 1.7.1, and I have no idea why this is happening. This error precludes me from using this jquery library. So I am looking for a solution that does not use this library. Another library I have tried to use is jquery.exif.js and I also get an Access Denied Error Trying to use it.

• sIFR 3 - sifr-config.js possibly not running? Not sure what's wrong.

  Hi, I've been messing with this for a few hours, and I just can't get the text to be replaced at all. I really can't believe it's taking so long, especially because I did this a few months ago and got it to work in minutes. Anyway, here is my site I'm working on: http://www.moreheadplanetarium.org/regeneration/test/vision.php and I want to replace the h1 tag (Morehead's Vision). I don't know what's wrong, since I've done everything I know to do. I'm jumping back into web design and using Firebug, and when I check the scripts it only has sifr.js and sifr-debug.js in the list, so I'm assuming the config isn't loading but I have no idea what could be the hold up... How do you get the debug to work btw? thanks!

• Wordpress meta data is written on top of page instead of the loop

  i'm building a wordpress webpage based on the Skeleton Wordpress theme. I have 2 posts showing on a page and each of these posts have custom fields values (meta data). Im using the shortcode from the skeleton theme to get a post-feed from a specific category and in that loop i have inserted this tag that displays the custom fields data <?php the_meta(); ?> I am getting the data - but the problem is, the data is shown on TOP of the page instead of inside the in the post. What could've ive possibly done wrong? or is it something with skeleton i am doing wrong?
