Proxy problems when adding Service Reference in VS 2010

Hi everyone, I was able to add a Service Reference in VS2008 with no problems at all. However, on the same machine within the same network, I couldn't do that in VS2010. It got a (407) response, Proxy Authentication Required. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? Are there new settings in VS2010 that need tweaking? Thanks, D.

Extending WCF Data Service to synthesize missing data on request

I have got a WCF Data Service based on a LINQ to SQL data provider. I am making a query "get me all the records between two dates". The problem is that I want to synthesize two extra records such that I always get records that fall on the start and end dates, plus all the ones in between which come from the database. Is there a way to "intercept" the request so I can synthesize these records and return them to the client? Thanks

How to change the colors of a legend item in flex legend?

in my flex chart I changed the fill of the PieSeries to use custom colors (set colors that I was prepared to be used according to values in the data provider of the Pie Chart)... The problem that the legend that is linked to my PieChart still shows the flex default colors and not the new colors from the PieChart series! Any idea how can I render the marker fill color of the flex legend items to meet the colors in the Pie Chart?

SSLException: Keystore does not support enabled cipher suites

I want to implement a small android application, that works as SSL Server. After lot of problems with the right format of the keystore, I solved this and run into the next one. My keystore file is properly loaded by the KeyStore class. But when I try to open the server socket (socket.accept()) the following error is raised: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Could not find any key store entries to support the enabled cipher suites. I generated my keystore with this command: keytool -genkey -keystore test.keystore -keyalg RSA -keypass ssltest -storepass ssltest -storetype BKS -provider org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider -providerpath bcprov.jar with the Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy for Java SE6 applied to my jre6. I got a list of supported ciphers suites by calling socket.getSupportedCipherSuites() that prints a long list with very different combinations. But I don't know how to get a supported key. I also tried the android debug keystore after converting it to BKS format using portecle but get still the same error. Can anyone help and tell how I can generate a key that is compatible with one of the cipher suites? I want to use L2E since it s very convenient to my company's apps, I created a demo project, the demo does run on every machine but when I, lets say, press a button that has some code that uses the entity I get this error: specified store provider cannot be found in the configuration, or is not valid. note that I get this error only on machines that does not have VS2008 installed, on these machines (the ones with VS2008) the demo works well. any advice is appreciated.

The developer documentation has seemed to have failed me here. I can create a static widget without thinking, I can even create a widget like the analogue clock widget that will update itself, however, I can not for the life of me figure out how to create a widget that reacts to when a user clicks on it. (I still haven't figured out why that is), however, logcat seemed to indicate that the activity class file was being run. So, is there anything I can do to get an appwidget to respond to a click? As the onClickPendingIntent() method is the closest I have found to a onClick type of method. Thank you very much.

I've got a rails app with authlogic authentication and a username.domain.com structure built with subdomain-fu. But my session breaks when going from domain.com to username.domain.com. I've tried to add config.action_controller.session = {:domain => '.localhost:3000'} to my development.rb but that seams to break authlogic disabling sign out/sign in. Any suggestions on what to do? Any thoughts or help is appreciated thanks. Is it an app error? if so why no errors in the log are shown?

Now I need to bind this data to BindingSource and when new item added to BindingSource some event or method must be called for handling add operation. I have tried to implement IBingingList on a List class which is returned when query is completed, but AddNew method is not called when item added. How to implement this scenario?

ConfigurationManager.AppSettings is empty?

Hello All, I have a VS2008 ASP.NET Web Service Application running on the local IIS of my XP machine. A separate project in the same solution uses test methods to invoke the WS calls, and run their processes. When I added a web reference to the WS App, VS2008 created a Settings.settings file in the Properties folder to store the address of the web reference. This process also created a new section in the Web.config file called applicationSettings to store the values from Settings.settings When my application attempts to retrieve configuration values from the appSettings section of the Web.config file, via ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[key], all values are null and AppSettings.AllKeys.Length is always zero. I even reverted the Web.config file to before the web reference was added, and made sure it was exactly the same as a system-generated web.config file for a new project that works fine. After comparing the reverted Web.config and a new Web.config, I addded one simple value in the appSettings section, and still no luck with ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[key]. we are migrating weblogic from 8.1 to 10.3. We had custom authenticator provider. Is there any standard way to migrate custom authenticator from 8.1 to 10.3? In fact, I could not find the wlManagement.jar in 10.3. I did find a wlManagement.jar file but it only contains .java files, no .class files. Please advise.
