  I'm getting ready to deploy a CakePHP site for the first time. I'm using the site with a MySQL database, and I'm still a little unclear about the proper use of users & permissions for MySQL -- I'm talking about the "login" and "password" fields that appear in app/config/database.php. During development, I've been using 'root' and 'root' -- but I'm pretty sure that can't be a good idea. So my question is: what are the best practices for assigning a MySQL user to a CakePHP app, and what MySQL privileges should be assigned to it?

• What is the code for a number sign in sharepoint?

  I've created a link in Sharepoint using the Content Editor Web Part. My link uses html to open up an email with the fields to, cc, subject, and body filled out. However, in the cc section I need a number sign (#) for a mailbox. When I use the html code & #35;(minus the space) my entire code crumbles. Everything starting at the "&" disappears. However, just for kicks I tried & pound;(minus the space) and the code works for a european pound sign. Not sure what else to try. Any suggestions?

If this can be done, any pointers would be really helpful! Even more helpful is an exact regex for vim.

The icon is loaded from a file called ICON_LED_RED.ico. How do I display the icon in my frame? • C# gridview nested in repeater update

  My current situation is to display an unknown number of Plantypes and within those Plantypes display a list of Participants(also unknown number), the participants have a textbox and a dropdown that is editable (you can't edit the individual rows, there is one update that does a bit of validation then updates all rows.) I currently have a gridview nested withing a repeater, the repeater displays the Plan in a label and OnItemDataBound I call a method to populate the gridviews. It looks great, but I can't figure out how to save all the data at once. I'm not opposed to handling this a different way, as in loose the gridview and or repeater, if someone has a better idea. This is C# and framework 2.0...there is no sorting or paging on the gridviews...just some links and the fields to update. thanks in advance, Padawan

On the other hand, as long as I use the method in the web application project built on asp.net 2.o using c#; the provided web method declared above, returns sbyte; Have a look my code below; formClearanceService.openSession(imageServiceUser); formClearanceService.prepareInstance(formId); byte[][] fieldImagesList = formClearanceService.getImagesForFields(fieldNames); formClearanceService.closeSession(); thus I get the following error: Cannot implicitly convert type 'sbyte[]' to 'byte[][]' So now, 1- should I ask the web service provider what is going on? or 2- any other way that can use the sbyte as I was suppose to use byte[][] like following using: byte[] ssss = fieldImagesList [0]..

  I have the following content types: Camp - the top level type Registration Information - contains node reference to Camp called Camp Medical Release Form - contains node reference to registration information called Camper I would like to create a View that takes the nid for the Camp, and pulls out all the fields for the Registration Info and Medical Release Form. I'm having trouble figuring out how to set up the various arguments/relationships. I haven't done something that's referenced more than two types. I know it would be smart/best to just combine the Registration Info and Medical Release Form, since it's a 1:1 mapping, but we can't. So... any help would be appreciated!

  I currently have an application that for a set of parameters (location, category, budget, ...) a user can enter a "pretty" URL like: /location/canada/ontario /category/primary /budget/small Resulting in the respective parameters: params[:country] == 'canada' and params[:region] == 'ontario' params[:category] == 'primary' params[:budget] == 'small' I want to allow users to perform searches on multiple parameters at once (with each parameter optional). For example: /location/canada/ontario/category/primary/budget/small I understand that this can be achieved using URL parameters, but for SEO reasons I prefer to add the "pretty" parameters. Is this at all possible without listing all possible combination of routes (I have a large number of search-able fields)? I understand that route "globbing" maybe play a roll, but I am not sure how.   Hello. Qt has a build-in supprt for creating objects with integrated reference counting via QSharedData and QSharedDataPointer. All wordks great, but for each such object i need to write a lot of code: QSharedData-based implementation class with constructor and copy constructor, object class itsef with accessor methods for each filed. For a simple structures with 5-10 fields this requires really lot of near same code. Is it some ways to automate such classes generation? Maybe it's some generators exists that take a short description and automatically generates implementation class and object class with all accessors?

• Using report viewer, how do I pull from two seperate Datasets

  I have two datasets I need to pull from, A base that both reports use and then a separate one that only one report pulls from. I get the error Error 12 The Value expression for the text box ‘Textbox9’ refers to the field ‘Name’. Report item expressions can only refer to fields within the current dataset scope or, if inside an aggregate, the specified dataset scope. My best guess is I have to associate them with the correct dataset but I have not been able to find any documentation on this. Can someone please tell me where in the rdlc document I need to code something like name.value, "dataset1" or something similar?

  I've inherited a project (without a handy handover) that contains reports published to a Reporting Server (2005). MY SSRS knowledge is 4 years stale, so I need your help. I need to edit one of the published reports, is this possible? I also want to peek into the Data Source on the RS, coz that's probably where I can change stuff. I'll add more info as I get a better understanding of what exactly to ask. EDIT: I found a project for some of the reports, opened up in VS2005 BI. Still, how do see where the Data Source gets its data? It brins back 56 fields but I dont know which tables/stored procs/queries are used to get these.

• tableView resize problem when pushing another view while keyboard is showing

  I have a tableview controller under a navigation controller. Some of my table cells contain text fields, so when I tap on them, a keyboard will show up and automatically resize (shrink) the bounds of my tableview. The bounds is then restored when the keyboard is dismissed programmatically by calling resignFirstResponder on my text field. Some of my cells would push a new view controller into the view stack when tapped on, so I first resign my current textfield before pushing the view controller: - (NSIndexPath *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView willSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { if (currentEditingTextField != nil) { [currentEditingTextField resignFirstResponder]; currentEditingTextField = nil; } return indexPath; } The problem is when I navigate back to my table view, the bounds of the tableview is sized as if the keyboard is still there. I know this because the scroll indicator only reaches right above where the keyboard was and there is empty view space below the table view. Anybody experienced this and know of a solution? Thanks

• jQuery > reset popup window 's x and y relative to icon that launched the window

  I have a jQuery jPicker colorpicker that is bound to an input text field and opens onclick of a small picker.gif icon. The problem I'm having is that (1) The colorpicker that opens does not appear to be positioned according to the x/y position of the picker.gif (it opens far away from the click point) and (2) The colorpicker does not seem to be aware of the viewport's scroll position (the top of the colorpicker is partially hidden at the top of the window). I'd like to use jQuery to reposition the colorpalette (1) Based on the x/y position of the input that its bound to and (2) reset it's top position based on the viewport's visible Y position.   Hi, I am trying to write an SQL query to update some of the attributes that are regularly pulled from source. the output will be a text file with the following fields: author, title, date, popularity I have two tables to update one is the author information and the other is popularity table. And the Author Active Record object has one popularity. Currently I'm doing it like this.\ arr.each { |x| x = x.split(" ") results = Author.find_by_sql("SELECT authors.id FROM authors, priorities WHERE authors.id=popularity.authors_id AND authors.author = x[0]") results[0].popularity.update_attribute("popularity", x[3]) I need two tables because the popularity keeps changing, and I need only the top 1000 popular ones, but I still need to keep the previously popular ones also. Is there any nicer way to do this, instead of one query for every new object. Thanks.

• Ways to optimize Android App code based on function call stack?

  I've been told that Android OS stores all function calls in a stack. This can lead to many problems and cause the 'hiccups' during runtime, even if a program is functionalized properly, correct? So the question is, how can we prevent this from happening? The obvious solution is to functionalize less, along with other sensible acts such as refraining from excessively/needlessly creating objects, performing static calls to functions that don't access fields, etc... Is there another way though? Or can this only be done through careful code writing on the programmers' part? Does the JVM/JIT automatically optimize the bytecode during compile time to account for this?? Thanks a lot for your responses!!

• Drupal - Views + node preview woes

  Hey there! I have a few Views on my Drupal 6 site which take care of some of a node's fields. For example, I have a content type called Country, which has a field called Capital. I've excluded this field in the node display, but there is a view that takes the node ID as an argument and displays it in the right column. This is all very pretty and has been working out well for me, but how do I take care of the node preview mode? Since the node isn't saved yet, the Capital field won't have its new value yet. Note: I am ready to do some very dirty hacks to make this work :)

  I want a plugin for joomla like jforms or chronoforms in order to make a form to upload videos along with other custom fields to db and manage them. The only problem is I want this functionality to be made from inside the administrator console and not to appear on a page at my site's frontend. My site does not have a login service , so I need to make the admin able to login to administration panel and from there to upload and manage videos. • EnumJobs not returning Copies & Total Pages

  I'm using Windows API's EnumJobs to find the PageCount and Copies of a print job, but I found that these fields are almost always zero when called on a print server. Although it could be my timing is out, because the number of pages increment as the job prints and once it's done the print job cannot be accessed. So there is about half a nanosecond when the values in EnumJobs is correct before it dissapears. I've been scouring the web but can't find any help on this, just other people with similar problems. Anybody with experience with EnumJobs or can suggest other means of determining the total number of pages printed?

• Is it good practice to initialize array in C/C++?

  I recently encountered a case where I need to compare two files (golden and expected) for verification of test results and even though the data written to both the files were same, the files does not match. On further investigation, I found that there is a structure which contains some integers and a char array of 64 bytes, and not all the bytes of char array were getting used in most of the cases and unused fields from the array contain random data and that was causing the mismatch. This brought me ask the question whether it is good practice to initialize the array in C/C++ as well, as it is done in Java?
