• Exception in Google App Engine (Java) while trying to create Memcache Object

  I am coming back to an old Google App Engine project on which I saw a bug. During this lag, I have been upgrading my AppEngine SDK and is now set at 1.3. When I try to run the same project again, I see the following exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.google.apphosting.api.ApiProxy$Environment.getDefaultNamespace()Ljava/lang/String; at com.google.appengine.api.NamespaceManager.get(NamespaceManager.java:56) at com.google.appengine.api.memcache.MemcacheServiceImpl.setNamespace(MemcacheServiceImpl.java:181) at com.google.appengine.api.memcache.MemcacheServiceImpl.(MemcacheServiceImpl.java:145) at com.google.appengine.api.memcache.MemcacheServiceFactory.getMemcacheService(MemcacheServiceFactory.java:25) The line causing the problem is: CacheManager.getInstance().getCacheFactory().createCache(Collections.emptyMap()); (It is the same line as suggested by the AppEngine documentation to create a memcache object. • Making sure an 'int' is bound on sqlite

  I have a method called like this... -(void)dbUpdate:(int)forId { Which contains this sqlite to bind and update a database. sqlite3_bind_int(UPDATE_ACCOUNT, 3, forId); When I run the query, it doesn't give me an error, but it doesn't update the database either. If I change this line of code... sqlite3_bind_int(UPDATE_ACCOUNT, 3, forId); manually, to... sqlite3_bind_int(UPDATE_ACCOUNT, 3, 6); the query runs 100% fine, as expected. Changing the variable to an actual integer proves to me that the variable 'forId' isn't being passed or bound to the query properly. What am I doing wrong? How is the best way to pass an Integer (and make sure it is an Integer) into an sqlite bind? Cheers,

• port an iOS (iPhone) app to mac?

  Is there a preferred way to go about this? The app in question is not too large . . . single-player game that I wrote over the course of a couple of months. EDIT: I should add that I have no experience with mac development . . . outside of what comes naturally with being an iOS developer. EDIT: Classes heavily used in the game: subclasses of NSObject, UIView, and UIViewController. I don't know much about NSView, but I'm pretty sure all the UIView stuff will work in that class. Also some use of UITableViewController. I do also have Game Center, but I can leave that part out for now. There is no multi-touch.

  I have been battling with this for some time and my noob brain can't quite work it out. These points can be anywhere on the map, so if they are in a diagonal direction from the enemy the enemy sprite will move directly to that point. But how do I change the above code to restrict the movement to vertical and horizontal movement only so that the enemies movement 'staircases' its way along a diagonal path, taking the manhattan distance (I think its called). As shown by my crude drawing below... S being the start point F being the finish and the numbers being each intermediate point along its path to create a staircase type diagonal movement.   Hi, How can I save a stretched image? I have a small(50 X 50) image, that I have stretched while displaying it on a UIImageView (by choosing scaletofit mode.)   I'm have difficulty adding a subview UIView from within the viewDidLoad method of a UITableViewController This works: [self.view addSubview:self.progView]; But you can see the table cell lines bleed through the UIView progView. I've tried this approach: [self.view.superview insertSubview:self.progView aboveSubview:self.view]; Which is an attempt to add the progView UIView to the superview, above the current view. When I try this I get this the UIView never appears.
