  • How to unit test a Spring MVC controller using @PathVariable?

    - by Martiner
I have a simple annotated controller similar to this one: @Controller public class MyController { @RequestMapping("/{id}.html") public String doSomething(@PathVariable String id, Model model) { // do something return "view"; } } and I want to test it with an unit test like this: public class MyControllerTest { @Test public void test() { MockHttpServletRequest request = new MockHttpServletRequest(); request.setRequestURI("/test.html"); new AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter() .handle(request, new MockHttpServletResponse(), new MyController()); // assert something } } The problem is that AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter.handler() method throws an exception: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not find @PathVariable [id] in @RequestMapping at org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter$ServletHandlerMethodInvoker.resolvePathVariable(AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter.java:642) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.resolvePathVariable(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:514) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.resolveHandlerArguments(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:262) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.invokeHandlerMethod(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:146)

  • Xuggle codec identification fail

    - by Thiago
Hi there, I'm trying to run the following Xuggle code: public static boolean convert(String stream) throws IOException, InterruptedException { IMediaReader reader = ToolFactory.makeReader(stream + ".flv"); IMediaWriter writer = ToolFactory.makeWriter(stream + ".mp3", reader); reader.addListener(writer); while (reader.readPacket() != null) ; return true; } Where stream is the file path. But I'm getting the following exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: could not find input codec id at com.xuggle.xuggler.IContainerFormat.establishOutputCodecId(IContainerFormat.java:393) at com.xuggle.xuggler.IContainerFormat.establishOutputCodecId(IContainerFormat.java:327) at com.xuggle.xuggler.IContainerFormat.establishOutputCodecId(IContainerFormat.java:300) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaWriter.addStreamFromContainer(MediaWriter.java:1141) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaWriter.getStream(MediaWriter.java:1046) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaWriter.encodeAudio(MediaWriter.java:837) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaWriter.onAudioSamples(MediaWriter.java:1448) at com.xuggle.mediatool.AMediaToolMixin.onAudioSamples(AMediaToolMixin.java:89) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaReader.dispatchAudioSamples(MediaReader.java:628) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaReader.decodeAudio(MediaReader.java:555) at com.xuggle.mediatool.MediaReader.readPacket(MediaReader.java:469) at <package_name>MediaFile.convert(MediaFile.java:66) at <package_name>.MediaFileTest.shouldConvertExistingFLV(MediaFileTest.java:32) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at org.junit.runners.model.FrameworkMethod$1.runReflectiveCall(FrameworkMethod.java:44) at org.junit.internal.runners.model.ReflectiveCallable.run(ReflectiveCallable.java:15) at org.junit.runners.model.FrameworkMethod.invokeExplosively(FrameworkMethod.java:41) at org.junit.internal.runners.statements.InvokeMethod.evaluate(InvokeMethod.java:20) at org.junit.internal.runners.statements.RunBefores.evaluate(RunBefores.java:28) at org.junit.internal.runners.statements.RunAfters.evaluate(RunAfters.java:31) at org.junit.runners.BlockJUnit4ClassRunner.runChild(BlockJUnit4ClassRunner.java:73) at org.junit.runners.BlockJUnit4ClassRunner.runChild(BlockJUnit4ClassRunner.java:46) at org.junit.runners.ParentRunner.runChildren(ParentRunner.java:180) at org.junit.runners.ParentRunner.access$000(ParentRunner.java:41) at org.junit.runners.ParentRunner$1.evaluate(ParentRunner.java:173) at org.junit.internal.runners.statements.RunBefores.evaluate(RunBefores.java:28) at org.junit.internal.runners.statements.RunAfters.evaluate(RunAfters.java:31) at org.junit.runners.ParentRunner.run(ParentRunner.java:220) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit4.runner.JUnit4TestReference.run(JUnit4TestReference.java:46) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.TestExecution.run(TestExecution.java:38) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.runTests(RemoteTestRunner.java:467) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.runTests(RemoteTestRunner.java:683) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.run(RemoteTestRunner.java:390) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.main(RemoteTestRunner.java:197) The unit test is the following: @Test public void shouldConvertExistingFLV() throws IOException, InterruptedException { String str = "C:\Program Files\Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Media Server 2\content\Extremists"; //"c:/temp/corneta.flv" boolean result = MediaFile.convert(str); assertTrue(result); } So, why can't he find the codec, since I'm testing for a simple flv to mp3 conversion?

  • [cocoa] NSSearchField not working as expected

    - by Vegar
Hi, I'm trying to follow Marcus Zarra in his book 'Core Data'. In the book, he makes a small sample application, but it doesn't give much help when things don't work out... He starts out by visually designing three entities, and then adding array controllers for each entity to the main nib. Second, he adds a tableview and some other visual components to show data from the array controllers. So far, I have managed to follow, but now he adds a search field to the gui, and binds it to the same array controller as one of the tableviews. Expected behavior would be for the tableview to get filtered when typing in the search field, but nothing happens. How do I find out what's wrong? The relevant parts from the nib is as follow: NSArrayController Recipes - Mode = Entity - Enitity Name = Recipe TableView w/TableColumn - Value Bind To Recipes -- Controller Key = arrangedObjects -- Model Key Path = name Search Field - Predicate Bind To Recipes -- Controller Key = filterPredicate -- Model Key Path = name -- Display name = predicate -- Predicate Format = keyPath contains $value There are no relevant messages in the console. regards, -Vegar

  • Assigning a group while adding user in django-admin

    - by Lokharkey
In my application, I have models that have the Users model as a Foreign key, eg: class Doctor(models.Model): username=models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True) ... In the admin site, when adding a new Doctor, I have the option of adding a new User next to the username field. This is exactly what I want, but in the dialog that opens, it asks for a username and password for the new user; I would also like to be able to assign a group to this new user. What would be the best way of doing this ? Thanks, lokharkey

  • How is the presentation layer of a CALayer generated?

    - by KJ
Hi, I'm having difficulties animating my custom layer property using Core Anmiation. My question is how the presentation of a CALayer is generated. Here is what I have now: @interface MyLayer : CALayer { NSMutableDictionary* customProperties; } @property (nonatomic, copy) NSMutableDictionary* customProperties; @end And when I try to animate the key path "customProperties.roll" using CABasicAnimation and addAnimation:forKey:, it seems that the customProperties variable doesn't get copied from the model layer to the presentation layer, and the customProperties of the presentation layer appears to be nil, failing to update the value for the key "roll". Is there a way to animate values in a dictionary correctly? What is the exact relationship between a model layer and a presentation layer while being animated? Thanks!

  • Filter Queryset in Django inlineformset_factory

    - by Dave
I am trying to use inlineformset_factory to generate a formset. My models are defined as: class Measurement(models.Model): subject = models.ForeignKey(Animal) experiment = models.ForeignKey(Experiment) assay = models.ForeignKey(Assay) values = models.CommaSeparatedIntegerField(blank=True, null=True) class Experiment(models.Model): date = models.DateField() notes = models.TextField(max_length = 500, blank=True) subjects= models.ManyToManyField(Subject) in my view i have: def add_measurement(request, experiment_id): experiment = get_object_or_404(Experiment, pk=experiment_id) MeasurementFormSet = inlineformset_factory(Experiment, Measurement, extra=10, exclude=('experiment')) if request.method == 'POST': formset = MeasurementFormSet(request.POST,instance=experiment) if formset.is_valid(): formset.save() return HttpResponseRedirect( experiment.get_absolute_url() ) else: formset = MeasurementFormSet(instance=experiment) return render_to_response("data_entry_form.html", {"formset": formset, "experiment": experiment }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) but i want to restrict the Measurement.subject field to only subjects defined in the Experiment.subjects queryset. I have tried a couple of different ways of doing this but I am a little unsure what the best way to accomplish this is. I tried to over-ride the BaseInlineFormset class with a new queryset, but couldnt figure out how to correctly pass the experiment parameter.

  • 2D colliding n-body simulation (fast Collision Detection for large number of balls)

    - by osgx
Hello I want to write a program for simulating a motion of high number (N = 1000 - 10^5 and more) of bodies (circles) on 2D plane. All bodies have equal size and the only force between them is elastic collision. I want to get something like but in larger scale, with more balls and more dense filling of the plane (not a gas model as here, but smth like boiling water model). So I want a fast method of detection that ball number i does have any other ball on its path within 2*radius+V*delta_t distance. I don't want to do a full search of collision with N balls for each of i ball. (This search will be N^2.) PS Sorry for loop-animated GIF. Just press Esc to stop it. (Will not work in Chrome).

  • Fine-grained permissions on SVN Repository

    - by Jim
Hello, I'm trying to setup a SVN repo for a whole bunch of users. Different users need to have different levels of access to areas of the repository. A trivial example might be that frontend engineers need access to the "view" and "controllers" but not "model", while backend engineers need access to the "controllers" and "model" but not "view". It needs to be one repository, because (as far as I know) that's the only way to ensure that commits touching multiple modules are atomic. Is there a fine-grained way to control user access to a repository? Thanks!

  • django deleting models and overriding delete method

    - by Mike
I have 2 models class Vhost(models.Model): dns = models.ForeignKey(DNS) user = models.ForeignKey(User) extra = models.TextField() class ApplicationInstalled(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User) added = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) app = models.ForeignKey(Application) ver = models.ForeignKey(ApplicationVersion) vhost = models.ForeignKey(Vhost) path = models.CharField(max_length=100, default="/") def delete(self): # # remove the files # print "need to remove some files" super(ApplicationInstalled, self).delete() If I do the following >>> vhost = Vhost.objects.get(id=10) >>> vhost.id 10L >>> ApplicationInstalled.objects.filter(vhost=vhost) [<ApplicationInstalled: http://wiki.jy.com/>] >>> vhost.delete() >>> ApplicationInstalled.objects.filter(vhost=vhost) [] As you can see there is an applicationinstalled object linked to vhost but when I delete the vhost, the applicationinstalled object is gone but the print never gets called. Any easy way to do this without iterating through the objects in the vhost delete?

  • Calling Entity Framework function import from code

    - by Mikey Cee
So I have a stored procedure called Spr_EventLogCreate defined in my database. I have created a function import in my data model called LogEvent with no return type, and I can see this function in the Model Browser tree at MyModel.edmx MyModel EntityContainer Function Imports LogEvent. I thought I should then be able to call the function in my code as follows: var context = new MyModelEntities(); context.LogEvent(...); But the LogEvent() method is not present. I must be being really stupid here, but how do I call my imported function? Using VS 2008 and EF 3.5.

  • How to store Ruby method references in a database?

    - by Mad Wombat
I am writing my first rails app. It needs to aggregate some data from multiple sites and for each site I have a unique way of getting the data (some provide RSS, some JSON, for some I scrape the HTML etc.). These will run on schedule, probably as a rake task from cron. It seems logical to store the sites and relevant information in a model, but I am not sure where to put unique data retrieval methods. Do I store method names in the model? Do I just name the methods the same as site name and call them that way? Basically, I need a way to read a list of sites and call appropriate method for each site. What is the Ruby on Rails way to do it?

  • datamapper secondary key

    - by Luc
Hello, I am using datamapper in a ruby application and I'm facing a problem I do not understand. I have a Appartment model and a Location model. An appartment is at a given location and several appartments can be at the same location. This typically described a 1-n relationship (I guess :-) ) My feeeling is that in the Appartement sql table I need a location_id but I do not want any Appartment pointers within the Location table. For me, Location should live on its own and should not reference appartment. In the Appartement ruby class, I have added: has n, Location but it then creates an appartment_id within the Location ruby class, which I do not want. Would you have any clue ? Thanks a lot, Luc

  • POJO's versus Cursors in Android

    - by Kilnr
I usually tend to define the model layer of my apps using POJO's, such as Article, Comment, etc. I was about to implement an AlphabetIndexer in the adapter of one of my ListViews. Right now this adapter accepts a Collection of Articles, which I normally get from my wrapper around an SQLiteDatabase. The signature of the AlphabetIndexer constructer is as follows: public AlphabetIndexer (Cursor cursor, int sortedColumnIndex, CharSequence alphabet) Since this doesn't accept a Collection or something similar, just a Cursor, it got me wondering: maybe I shouldn't be creating objects for my model, and just use the Cursors returned from the database? So the question is, I guess: what should I do, represent data with Collections of POJO's, or just work with Cursors throughout my app? Any input?

In the end my problem is adding the "tempProduct" object to the mutable array dataArray so that I can customize the table cells. Using the json framework im parsing out some json which returns an array of NSDictionary objects. Stepping through that my dictionary objects look good, I populate my custom object with properties for all my fields which goes through fine, and the values look right. However I cant add this to the array, I've tried several different implementations doesn't work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. In some instances doing a po tempProduct prints the description and sometimes it does not. same with right clicking on the variable and choosing print description. • Best Practices - Data Annotations vs OnChanging in Entity Framework 4

    - by jptacek
I was wondering what the general recommendation is for Entity Framework in terms of data validation. I am relatively new to EF, but it appears there are two main approaches to data validation. The first is to create a partial class for the model, and then perform data validations and update a rule violation collection of some sort. This is outlined at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc716747.aspx The other is to use data annotations and then have the annotations perform data validation. Scott Guthrie explains this on his blog at http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/01/15/asp-net-mvc-2-model-validation.aspx. I was wondering what the benefits are of one over the other. It seems the data annotations would be the preferred mechanism, especially as you move to RIA Services, but I want to ensure I am not missing something. Of course, nothing precludes using both of them together. Thanks John

  • ASP.NET MVC 2 generation of the List/Index view

    - by Klas Mellbourn
    ASP.NET MVC 2 has powerful features for generating the model-dependent content of the Edit view (using EditorForModel) and Details view (using DisplayForModel) that automatically utilizes metadata and editor (or display) templates: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <%= Html.ValidationSummary(true) %> <fieldset> <legend><%= Html.LabelForModel() %></legend> <%= Html.EditorForModel() %> <p> <input type="submit" value="Save" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> However, I cannot find any comparable tools for the "last" step of generating the Index view (a.k.a. the List view). There I have to hard code the columns first in the row representing the headers and then inside the foreach loop: <h2>Index</h2> <table> <tr> <th></th> <th> ID </th> <th> Foo </th> <th> Bar </th> </tr> <% foreach (var item in Model) { %> <tr> <td> <%= Html.ActionLink("Edit", "Edit", new { id=item.ID }) %> | <%= Html.ActionLink("Details", "Details", new { id=item.ID })%> | <%= Html.ActionLink("Delete", "Delete", new { id=item.ID })%> </td> <td> <%= Html.Encode(item.ID) %> </td> <td> <%= Html.Encode(item.Foo) %> </td> <td> <%= Html.Encode(String.Format("{0:g}", item.Bar)) %> </td> </tr> <% } %> </table> What would be the best way to generate the columns (utlizing metadata such as HiddenInput), with the aim of making the Index view as free of model particulars as Edit and Details?

  • Django: Summing values of records grouped by foreign key

    - by Dan0
Hi there In django, given the following models (slightly simplified), I'm struggling to work out how I would get a view including sums of groups class Client(models.Model): api_key = models.CharField(unique=True, max_length=250, primary_key=True) name = models.CharField(unique=True, max_length=250) class Purchase(models.Model): purchase_date = models.DateTimeField() client = models.ForeignKey(SavedClient, to_field='api_key') amount_to_invoice = models.FloatField(null=True) For a given month, I'd like to see e.g. April 2010 For Each Client that purchased this month: * CLient: Name * Total amount of Purchases for this month * Total cost of purchases for this month For each Purchase made by client: * Date * Amount * Etc I've been looking into django annotation, but can't get my head around how to sum values of a field for a particular group over a particular month and send the information to a template as a variable/tag. Any info would be appreciated

  • Having trouble with binding

    - by Tam
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the binding in Flex. I'm using Cairngorm framework. I have the following component with code like: [Bindable] var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); .... <s:DataGroup dataProvider="{_model.friendsSearchResults}" includeIn="find" itemRenderer="com.lal.renderers.SingleFriendDisplayRenderer"> <s:layout> <s:TileLayout orientation="columns" requestedColumnCount="2" /> </s:layout> </s:DataGroup> in the model locator: [Bindable] public var friendsSearchResults:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); Inside the item renderer there is a button that calls a command and inside the command results there is a line like this: model.friendsSearchResults = friendsSearchResults; Putting break points and stepping through the code I confirmed that this like gets called and the friendsSearchResults gets updated. To my understanding if I update a bindable variable it should automatically re-render the s:DataGroup which has a dataProvider of that variable.

  • GWT and java.io.Serializable

    - by Ethan Leroy
Hello, In my GWT app I have the following model class: import com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.IsSerializable; public class TestEntity implements IsSerializable { public String testString; } This class implements the GWT custom IsSerializable marker interface - which I really don't like, because I use my model classes not only for GWT. So I prefer java.io.Serializable. But if I modify the class to implement Serializable instead of IsSerializable, the GWT RPC mechanism doesn't work anymore. I don't get an error on the server side, but on the client AsyncCallback.onFailure is invoked. I am using... GWT 1.7.0. Spring 2.5.6.SEC01 Spring and GWT are configured as described here.

  • How to perform insert and update with Ado.net dataservices (EF and Inheritance)

    - by Thurein
Hi, I have an entity model, in which I have a table per type inheritance. There are 3 types, first, Contact, which I defined as abstract in my EF model and the rest are Company and person types which are derived from contact type. Is it possible to perform an insert using ado.net dataservice and asp.net ajax library? I was trying the following client code : dataContext.insertEntity(person, "Contacts"); I was getting this response from server : Error processing request stream. Type information must be specified for types that take part in inheritance. Thanks.

  • Is it possible to run an ng-switch directly on a select > option

    - by Asok
    Has anyone been able to run an ng-switch on a <select> -> <option> tag, like so?: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" ng-switch on="localityTypeRadio"> <option ng-switch-when="County" ng-repeat="county in countyList"> {{ county.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="City" ng-repeat="city in cityList"> {{ city.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="Town" ng-repeat="town in townList"> {{ town.name }} </option> </select> I am not getting any errors or any options (all values verified), I just thought it would save me a couple lines and thought I'd try it. Here is my selector, in case you're curious (value verified): <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="County"> County </label> <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="City"> City </label> <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="Town"> Town </label> This is not a big deal, just didn't know if this was a limitation / not recommended with an ng-switch EDIT I was mistaken when I initially said that nothing was happening (browser caching), there appears to be the correct number of options but the source code shows nothing but white space: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" class="input-block-level ng-pristine ng-valid" ng-switch="" on="localityTypeRadio" ng-hide="form.permitLocality.length"><option value="? string: ?"></option> <!--   • In a Rails unit test, how can I get a User fixture to load its associated Profile?

    - by MikeJ
In the documentation concerning Fixtures (http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/Fixtures.html) they provide the following example of using label references for associations: ### in pirates.yml reginald: name: Reginald the Pirate monkey: george ### in monkeys.yml george: name: George the Monkey pirate: reginald So following their lead, I have a User model that has_one :profile, a Profile model that belongs_to :user, and tried to set up fixtures per their example: ### in users.yml reginald: id: 1 login: reginald ### in profiles.yml reginalds_profile: id: 1 name: Reginald the Pirate user: reginald (Note: since my association is one-way, the User fixture doesn't have a "profile: reginalds_profile" association--putting it in causes an error because the SQL table has no profile_id attribute.) The problem is, in my unit tests everything seems to load correctly, but users(:reginald).profile is always nil. What am I missing?

  • Html helper to show display name attribute without label

    - by Pedre
I have this: [Display(Name = "Empresa")] public string Company{ get; set; } In my aspx I have: <th><%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.Company)%></th> And this generates: <th><label for="Company">Empresa</label></th> Are there any html helper extensions to only show the display attribute without label, only plain text? My desired output is this: <th>Empresa</th> Thanks! EDIT I tried DisplayFor or DisplayTextFor as suggested, but they are not valid because they generate: <th>Amazon</th> They return the value of the property... I want the name from the Display attribute.
