• Referencing text input fields in CKEditor dialogs

  Hi, I've been playing around with this for a couple of weeks now with no success... In a CKEditor dialog, text input fields are renamed with a unique number - e.g. id: 'txtUrl' will become something like id='27_textinput'. How do I reference this? // I feel it should be something like: var myfield = CKEDITOR.instances.myElement.document.$.body.getId('txtUrl'); // or maybe: var myfield = CKEDITOR.dialog.getContentElement('info','txtUrl'); // and then: myfield.value = 'myvalue'; But these don't work. • How to return an enum ID instead of the enum text in WebAPI

  I am using the WebAPI with .NET 4.5. I have a enum called DareStatus which is a list of statuses and their corresponding integer ID's. To minimize bandwidth traffic I want to send the int values of the enums, not the full text as it is currently doing. (I have control over the client so I can map it on the clientside). • Scrolling through list element causes text elements to scroll as well

  I'm using a list element with variableRowHeight and word-wrap set to true like in the example below: http://blog.flexexamples.com/2007/10/27/creating-multi-line-list-rows-with-variable-row-heights/ When I scroll through the list with a mouse scrollwheel the text in the listItems also scroll. I know that this is to do with the height of the textField... but I am unsure how to best resolve this issue. Any thoughts are appreciated! The issue that I am experiencing also occurs in the example above.

• Navigation Dropdown Text Color doesn't work in FF and IE

  Hello, I was able to get the navigation dropdown to show the letters in a different color from the background (white in this case) in Chrome browser. But when I view the same page in IE or FF, the whole background is just all green.   There are many ways the value of a <input type="text"> can change, including: keypresses copy/paste modified with JavaScript auto-completed by browser or a toolbar I want my JavaScript function to be called (with the current input value) any time it changes. And I want it to be called right away, not just when the input loses focus. I'm looking for the cleanest and most robust way to do this across all browsers (using jQuery preferably). Example use case: On the Twitter Signup page, the username field's value gets shown in the url "http://twitter/username" below it.

  Hello, i'm having a bit of a question, I have some newspost from my database. But there are tags in it and some tags aswell. My questiion is how i should go about it to get the newspost showing as it should be. The images should get shown instead of the tags etc. I know i'll have to work with a loader to use the images but how would as3 recognize them? Is there anyway i could use htmltext or something so as3 knows automaticly where the imagetags are? Also, if i add the image would it be possible to wrap the text around it? So i dont have an empty space next to the image?

  Hi, due to testing and time measuring i have to write some kind of log into existing c# winforms code in Visual Studio 2010. I want to hold the changes and the work very small so my question is about replacing text in my call by counting numbers. Lets say i want to past a line like Log.WriteLine(position) many times in the code and then replace "position" with numbers starting from 1 to n in on turn. I cant use a counter in this case because of many loops i don´t get the right position. Thanks for any suggestions, Gpx

  I've created the JS fiddle to demonstrate my problem: http://jsfiddle.net/C8NUf/1/ HTML: <select> <option> Test </option> <option> Another Test </option> </select> Style: select { color: transparent; } In chrome, the selected text "test" is properly blanked out by setting the color to transparent, in IE the test is still black. How can I fix this issue in IE? Ideally I want to make this change via JQuery, but that doesn't seem very relevant to the overall problem. Thanks, Daniel

  I trying to create an animation with JQuery that scrolls 1 word in a sentence. For example, I am a nice sententce of text with a MAGIC word in it OTHER HIDDEN WORDS After a second or so, MAGIC would move upwards and OTHER would scroll into view. I've tried playing with a few carousel plugins but I can't seem to get the effect working. Some seem to have so many nested divs that they refuse to display inline, others have issues when one word is longer than another. Does anybody know of a plugin that could make this possible? Is this even possible?

  There are lots of parsers and lexers for scripts (i.e. structured computer languages). But I'm looking for one which can break a (almost) non-structured text document into larger sections e.g. chapters, paragraphs, etc. It's relatively easy for a person to identify them: where the Table of Contents, acknowledgements, or where the main body starts and it is possible to build rule based systems to identify some of these (such as paragraphs). I don't expect it to be perfect, but does any one know of such a broad 'block based' lexer / parser? Or could you point me in the direction of literature which may help?

This image contains two portion, 35% of image have white color another 65% of image have green color.In this image 2nd portion(green color) i have to display dynamic string , this string size may dynamically updating. But this string dont go first portion(white color) of image. For that i am using UltraLabel control. I have add image in UltraLabel ImageBackground property and TextHAlign set as Right. But here small 15 charecter string means appear only second portion(green color), 20 charecter string means appeaer second & first portion. I don't want to display first portion of image. Thanks

  TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE have been deprecated a long time ago and will, eventually, be removed from SQL Server. However, they are not going to be discontinued right away, not even in the next version of SQL Server, so it's not convenient for my enterprise to transform thousands of columns right away, even if it is using SQL Server 2012. What arguments can I use to postpone this migration? I know there are some advantages in using the new types. But I'm strictly looking for reasons not to migrate my data that is already functioning pretty well in the old types.

  I have created a VBScript which pulls the service tag, username, and computer name from a computer. What I need to do now is compile this information in a text document. How it's set up is as follows: We have an Active Directory Server, with a folder for login scripts. I have created a batch file to run this .vbs script, and the script works well so far. What I now need is for a file on the AD server, called "logging.txt", to be populated with the information that is created with the .vbs script.   Hi, we have a VB6 binary executable that comes with no source code. And we need to change the label text for that VB6 application from "AAA" to "BBB". Is there any way or tools that can do that? The closest tool I can find right now is microsoft UISpy, it can read all the other elements but not the label. I hope there is a tool that can change the resource in the .exe so that the label "AAA" will read "BBB". Or is it possible to write a wrapper application, it will launch the .exe, examine the application screen for "AAA" and change that to "BBB"? Thank you for your help!

• Why Does Unity lag Often That I have To Manually Shutdown/Restart my Core i3 Laptop?

  I did a fresh install of Ubuntu then do did some upgrades. After my next restart when I try to open Ubuntu Software Center it took about 20 seconds for the window to load then 10 more seconds before it became click able. While doing some installation of software, Unity lags like hell that every time I click any application it takes a few seconds before I can see it. Even GEdit take a lot of time to load. The worst part was when I was doing nothing to my computer. Even on that part, my computer lags. My Laptop is a Brand New Core i3 with 2GB of RAM. Unity should run perfectly on that kind of machine right? BTW: I reinstalled Ubuntu 11.04 for about 5 times now and still nothing changed.

  I'm building a simple client-server chat system. The clients send data to the server and the server resends the data to all the other clients. I'm using the TcpListener and Network stream classes to send the data between the client and the server. The fields I need to send are, for example: name, text, timestamp, etc. I separate them using the ASCII character 29. I'm also using ASCII character 30 to mark the end of the streamed data. The data is encoded with UTF8.. Is this a good approach? Will I run into problems? Are there better methods? UPDATE: Probably my question was misunderstood, so I explain it better..   Hi, I am making a simple AJAX call to an external site. It works ok in IE, but in Firefox, not response text is returned. I think it might have something to do with the response being "chunked", but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
