Google Buzz has not released their whole api to post buzz, but today I came to know that to create a new Buzz just mail to [email protected] with subject as Buzz content you want to create. The iPhone app has a facebook and twitter API integrated and when I use the same into the iPad app then the Dialog for facebook API opens same as the size as in iPhone. So it looks very small. To be blunt the person needs to show the application on the simulator and is not capable of compiling the source code and I don't have the time to produce the instructions.   • Starting inets/httpd with custom application

    I've got a module that I'm attempting to turn into a proper OTP application. Currently, the module has start/0 which starts a genserver which supplies configuration data read from a config file. It then calls inets:start(httpd,config:lookup(httpd_conf)). I gather that I need to move the starting of these out into the .app file's (application list) but I'm not sure how to get my config data into the inets:start function (or pass in httpd)? It worked until yesterday on every PC I installed or copied it to, no matter if 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 or 3.5 SP1 was installed, no matter if it was Win2000, XP or even Win7 (in total 100+ machines). Yesterday I did my normal installation procedure and wanted to start it one time to check if everything is working...and it wasn't. The program crashed hard leaving me with the uninformative "Do you wanna report this error?" dialog. The problem is an exception in the Main(String[] args) routine of my application. I also found a bug report at Microsoft (Google Cache) about this bug (in another context, though). But as it seems, they won't even look at it. Every help is greatly appreciated! Edit: I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Prof.. Crash happens in Release- and Debug-Build on the client machine. Debugging the application directly on this machine is out of question I fear, 300+ Miles and they only have two computers to work with.

  • .NET application silently fails to start when assembly missing

    I have a .NET C# winforms application which works great on my machine, but if I try to run it on another machine, it doesn't start up. No error message, no crash message, no window - nothing. I've found that this always happens when a referenced assembly is missing. I guess this is .NET's general behavior and not specific to my app, is it? Is there any way to configure .NET or my application such that it spits out a "referenced assembly missing" like error message in such cases?
