  • how close to excel ergonimics can you make jqgrid

    I have been looking through [this jqgrid documentation][1] and see the example: i wanted to see how close you can get to data entry that is close to excel like moving arrows keys changes selection supporting Copy and paste from one cell to another column fills for a particular value. Is this asking to much for the web? If its not possible, are there other third party asp.net mvc components that do have these capabilities.

    I'm planning to buy this book: The C++ Standard: Incorporating Technical Corrigendum No. 1 http://www.flipkart.com/standard-british-standards-institution-incorporating-book-0470846747 Since it's cost is too much for me (being an Indian we've the habit of buying only low-price edition books :D), I want to make sure if this is the correct edition/version of the Standard. So I need some good advice if I should go for it, or there is better option for me which I'm unaware of. PS: I want to buy hard copy, not PDF.

    So, I plug-in my USB stick, copy a file from the hard drive to the USB stick, and safely remove the USB stick. I then plug out the USB stick. When I plug the USB stick back into the computer again, the previous contents of the USB stick are all gone. It shows an empty drive. I am using Windows XP SP 2 with an 8 GB USB stick from Transcend.

    Hi, I'm trying to redirect the output of a GDI application to a buffer, preferably a d3d texture but I'll settle for a system memory buffer that I can then copy to a d3d texture. Specifically, I'm trying to get Google Chrome to render into a d3d buffer to be displayed in a d3d application. Are there any foolproof ways to do this or am I opening the mother of all worm-cans?     I've got the entire contents of a text file (at least a few KB) in string myStr. Will the following code create a copy of the string (less the first character) in memory? myStr = myStr[1:] I'm hoping it just refers to a different location in the same internal buffer. If not, is there a more efficient way to do this? Thanks! Note: I'm using Python 2.5.

    I have a .NET solution which was badly organised, so I moved some projects around to appropriate folders. In the solution, I simply fixed the paths to the new locations, and everything is working in my working copy. I used AnkhSVN to commit the solution to the repository, which worked out fine as well. However, when I look in the repo explorer, the folders inside are organised in the old way. What do I need to do?

    I need to display 2d images in opengl using textures. The image dimensions are not necessarily powers of 2. I thought of creating a larger texture and restricting the display to the part I was using but the image data will be shared with openCV so I don't want to copy data a pixel at a time into a larger texture. EDIT - it turns out that even the simplest Intel on board graphics under Windows supports none-power-of-2 textures.
