• Can I fire a Text Changed Event for an asp.net Text Box before it loses focus?

  I have an asp.net TextBox in which I want to check if the text entered into the TextBox is > 0. It works once I tab out or click out of the TextBox, but if I keep focus on the TextBox, it won't fire the Text Changed Event, so I have the following scenario, I want to enable something if and only if the TextBox.Text.Length = 0. Now, if I put my caret in the TextBox and delete all the characters and then leave the caret in the TextBox so it still has focus and take my mouse and click a button, it will not do what it was supposed to do because it never fired the Text Changed Event. How would something like this be handled?

  I want to select an element based on it's class and id, I have seen many similar questions on SO. Most of the users ask why would you ever want to do this - which is not very helpful, trust me, this is the simplest way of solving my UI problem, and it's a very unique and intereting UI related to making generic triple stores easily browsable. At the moment the jQUery looks like this: $(document).ready( function() { $(".predicates").hide(); $(".objects").hide(); $("#subject").click( function() { $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); // this line } ); $("#predId").click( function() { $("#objId, .objects").toggle(); } ); }); The line I am really interested in is this $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); how do I get the select to ensure that both #predId and .predicates are true, at the moment it seems that only one or the other has to be true. Is there something like an && operator?

• Can't find a Wordpress image/photo gallery plugin

  I've been looking at Wordpress plugins for photo galleries (so maybe this is for superuser.com), and I've been very frustrated so far. It seems like what I'd like to do would be a very common use case: Admin: Be able to upload multiple pictures (at a time) Admin: Be able to assign a "gallery" to those pictures as I upload them User: Be able to go to a page with a (paged) list of all galleries User: Be able to click on gallery and view the images (again, probably paged) in that gallery User: Be able to click on an image to get larger/largest sizes User: Be able to leave comments on individual pictures (this is a "nice to have") The images/galleries could be totally independent of posts/pages, but it would be nice to be able to embed those images/galleries into posts/pages when necessary. Is there anything out there like this that I'm missing? I've tried a handful of plugins and none of them seem to be for a use case anywhere close to what I'm looking for. One of the reasons I'm trying to use Wordpress is to reduce time spent coding everything I want.

• Bad event on java panel

  Hi I have a java panel with 4 buttons. When I click on of these buttons, a new frame appears and the first is hidden with setVisibile(false). On that new window, I have another button, but when i click it, I got the event corresponding to the fourth button of the first window. Clicking the button again does the trick, but of course this is not acceptable. Am I missing something? I just show the frames with nameOfTheFrame.setVisible(true); and I have MouseListeners on every button. • How to add a Page to Frame using code in WPF

  I have a Window where I have put a Frame. I would like to add a Page to the Frame when I click a button that is also on the Window but not in the Frame. There are several buttons in the Window and each click on a button should load a different Page in the Frame. Since I'm a total newbie on this WPF stuff it's quite possible that this approach is not the best and I have thought about replacing the Frame with a Canvas and then make UserControls instead of Pages that will be added to the Canvas. I welcome any ideas and suggestions on how to best solve this. I aiming for a functionality that is similar to the application Billy Hollis demonstrated in dnrtv episode 115.   I have a little problem: slideHelpers.total = 4 for (i=1;i <= slideHelpers.total; i++) { $('<a href="#">' + i + '</a>').bind('click', function(){ alert('go to the ' + i + ' slide')}).appendTo('.slideaccess') } the alert gives out 5 what is logic, because when the function click triggers i is actually 5. But i would like to have the same i as in my <a> tag. What is the best way to handle this? I could put i in the data() of the <a> tag for example but i am sure there is a easier way.

• Phonegap - iOS keyboard is not hiding on outside tap of input field

  On input text focus, keyboard appears as expected. But when I click outside of the input text, keyboard does not hide. I am using java script and jQuery. With jQueryMobile JS and CSS - page behaves correctly. But for this project we are not using jQueryMobile. This problem is only with iOS simulator/device. With Android, it's working perfectly fine. I even tried using document.activeElement.blur(); on outer element click/tap. But then I am unable to focus to input text, because that input text is inside that outer element.

• JavaScript "confirm" on SelectedIndexChange of RadioButtonList

  I have a RadioButtonList control and I would like to do a Javascript "confirm" when a user tries to change the index. Currently AutoPostBack is set to TRUE. I can, of course, just call __doPostBack from within a javascript function, etc. I tried a few things with jQuery but you have to worry about mousedown vs. click and then there is always the fact that you can click the checkbox label to select it, etc. Anyone have a nice solution for this? To be clear, I am looking for a way to prompt the user with a confirm box prior to their selection being made and triggering a postback.

  I am building a portfolio page of different work that has been done and im using two different jquery sliding techniques, one nested in amongst the other one. The first slider works great but the second one doesnmt work that great for the first few and then doesnt work at all.   Is possible refresh a function every x seconds or refresh it on single event? I explain: I have a function that make pagination on my website, inside every div that are "pages" I have some pictures where I have added LightBox. Everything works nice on the first div (page) but when I change the page it doesnt' work anymore. I tried to fix in this way: $('.pagination a').click(function () { initShadow(); }); In this way it work on the pageLoad and on the first page that I change, than it stop again. So I need to fix this issue, everytime I change the "page" I would like it works fine. Is possible to refresh a function every x second or to refresh it everytime I click on the pagination buttons?

  I have several pages, let's call them A, B and C. Each of these pages has a form where the user can type in some information and click a button to send those information to the server. This button click is performed in an UpdatePanel to prevent a full postback. A customer of ours now wants to know how many % of the using visiting each site (A, B and C have different URLs) use this form. (Meaning I need seperate values for A, B and C) How to I track this in Google Analytics? It seems that I have to create a conversion(??) for each page. Is that correct? How must I modify the existing web application to let Google Analytics know, that a user submitted the form. • Automatic login into asp.net site from flash movie

For now when you click on this button I am redirecting to asp.net site login page. What I need is if you click on login button, the login form which is designed within flash will be shown on the same movie. The users will provide username and password.   Just started out with Orchard and trying to just make pages and menus. I'm running into an issue where on my home page my menu shows: Home, Fruit, Vegetable, Carrot. I want it to show just Home, Fruit, Vegetable and when I click the respective item it adds the proper tabs. It DOES do it with Banana. ie: When I click Fruit, it shows Banana in the menu. But it always shows Carrot for some reason! I have the following setup. Navigation -Main Menu --Home --Fruit --Vegetable -Fruit Menu --Banana -Vegetable Menu --Carrot Widgits > Navigation > Main Menu, Fruit Menu, Vegetable Menu (Fruit and Vegetable Menus are in their own respective layers.)
