  Does anyone know if Fiddler can display the raw SOAP messages for ASMX web services? I'm testing a simple web service using both Fiddler2 and Storm and the results vary (Fiddler shows plain xml while Storm shows the SOAP messages). • Post request with body_stream and parameters

  Hello, I'm building some kind of proxy. When I call some url in a rack application, I forward that request to an other url. The request I forward is a POST with a file and some parameters. I want to add more parameters. But the file can be quite big. So I send it with Net::HTTP#body_stream instead of Net::HTTP#body. I get my request as a Rack::Request object and I create my Net::HTTP object with that. req = Net::HTTP::Post.new(request.path_info) req.body_stream = request.body req.content_type = request.content_type req.content_length = request.content_length http = Net::HTTP.new(@host, @port) res = http.request(req) I've tried several ways to add the proxy's parameters. But it seems nothing in Net::HTTP allows to add parameters to a body_stream request, only to a body one. Is there a simpler way to proxy a rack request like that ? Or a clean way to add my parameters to my request ?

• How can I add HTTP request caching to an application using ASIHTTPRequests?

  I'm using ASIHttpRequests and an ASINetworkQueue in an iphone app to retrieve some 100k XML files and a lot of thumbnails from a web service. I'd like to cache the requests in the style of NSURLCache. ASI doesn't seem to support caching as is, and I looked at the code and it drops to C to create the requests, so inserting the NSURLCache layer seemed tricky. What's the best way to implement this?

  I'm invoking a rest service that returns JSON like this: { "some.key" : "some value", "another.key" : "another value" } I would like to think that I can invoke this service with a java.util.Map as the response type but that's not working for me. I get this exception: org.springframework.web.client.RestClientException: Could not extract response: no suitable HttpMessageConverter found for response type [interface java.util.Map] Should I just specify String as the response type and convert the JSON to a Map?

It is redirecting to the URL ://url/blogs/Lists /Posts/Dispform.aspx?ID=x, which is giving Page cannot be found error. It should redierct to ://url/blogs/Lists /Posts/Post.aspx?ID=x. I want to change the hyperlink URL to the above one. Please suggest as how to proceed with that.

• C# Persistent WebClient

  I have a class written in C# (Windows Forms) It's a WebClient class which I intent to use in some website and for Logging In and navigation. Here's the complete class pastebin.com (the class has 197 lines so I just use pastebin. Sorry if I made a little bit harder for you to read the class, also below this post) The problem is, am not sure why it's not persistent .. I was able to log in, but when I navigate to other page (without leaving the domain), I was thrown back to log in page.   I use ServiceHost for hosting WCF cervices. I want to host near to my WCF services my own tcp programm (like WCF service but with out WCF) for direct sockets operations (like lien to some sort of broadcasting TCP stream) I want to use ServiceHost for somehow simplyfiing proces of creating my TCP sender\listener, to somehow control namespaces (so I would be able to let my clients to send TCP streams directly into my service using some nice URLs like www.example.com:34123/myserver/stream?id=1 or www.example.com:34123/myserver/stream?id=222 and so that I will not be bothered with Idea of 1 client for 1 socket at one time moment, BTW I realy want to keep my WCF services on the same port as my own server or what it is...) Can any body please help me with this?

  I'm trying to post to a website from a Processing Sketch. (Processing is basically Java running in a fancy environment). I'm using this library : http://libraries.seltar.org/postToWeb/ but I don't know if that makes a difference.   I'm trying to create an event through the API and it is mostly working, with the exception that while the new events are being created in the invitees calendars, no emails are being sent. Creating the event from the web interface is pushing the event through, as well as sending the email (except one account that doesn't get any notifications at all, but that's not relevant to my current problem).   I'm not a developer. I have no domain, nor wish to have one at the time. Rather I'm just a regular person who likes to upload photos to some photo related sites. My uploading process constantly gets interrupted by one of these annoying API errors. I get it at least two times, one when I click the page to upload, and also right after it has uploaded. It also pops up if I go to edit a photo or delete it. This interrupts my browsing experience until I click okay. I just want a fix for the annoying without having to register for a key. I tried before and it required a web domain. I rather not have to create a domain and go through such hoops just to fix this. Is there a solution for this problem that doesn't require registration? Another thing to note: I have used two computers. One has the message pop-up and the other doesn't. What is different about the two computers?

• Why can't I make an http request to the ASP.NET development server on localhost?

  I have an ASP.NET project (VS2008 on Windows 7 with either webforms, MVC1, or MVC2 -- all the same result for me) which is just the File-New hello world web project. It's using the default ASP.NET development server, and when I start the server with F5, the browser never connects and I get a timeout. I tried to debug this by telnetting to the development server's port while it was running, and I got the same result: C:\Users\farmercs>telnet localhost 54752 Connecting To localhost...Could not open connection to the host, on port 54752: Connect failed I can see in the system tray that the server thinks it's running, and a netstat -s -n command shows that there is indeed an active TCP listener on that port. This worked in the not-too-distant past, and I could work on web projects using the development server. One thing that has changed since then was that I installed the Microsoft Loopback Adapter to accommodate a local development Oracle installation. I'm not sure this is the problem, but it seems a likely culprit. So, what could be blocking me from connecting? And if it's the loopback, then what is a good way for me to retain my ability to connect to my development Oracle server while still being able to use the ASP.NET development server?
