Hi,
I am wondering if there is any way to have a keyboard shortcut to a tab. Like for example Firefox having Alt+1 / Alt+2 / Alt+3 to go to tab 1 / 2/ 3 etc...
Cheers,
I sometimes got many running applications and switching with alt-tab becomes very annoying.
The perfect solution for me would be an application that lets me start typing a window's and offer a classic auto-complete drop down list to chose from.
Anybody knows of a lightweight application that offers something similar to this?
Thanks.
Bing has rudely planted its self on my "open new tab" so above bing my regular google is there but below is the irritating bing search bar! I have tried everything I know of to get rid of it and it will not go! I can not find it listed under my settings, control panel and/or uninstall!
This is the second time bing has made its unwelcome tush comfy…
Hi All,
(System is Windows 7 x64)
I wanted to restrict access of other people in a certain drive of my computer (Harddisk 1 is partitioned to C & D; I want to restrict Drive D). What I did was go to the Security Tab (under Drive Properties) and remove the All Users entry. My account is an administrator account. I left only Systems and…
I am doing
ssh -t host screen -D -RR
in OS X (10.9) terminal tabs.
My ~/.screenrc is identical on all remote hosts and contain the following line:
hardstatus string "%H(%n:%t)$USER %h"
My ~/.bashrc is also identical on all hosts.
When I login to host host_u (Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS) running Screen version 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06, the…
I often have 6 or 7 separate Chrome windows open, often with 5-10 tabs in each. When I look at Windows Task Manager, I see each chrome.exe process, with some using a large amount of memory. How can I find which particular tab the process refers to? I want to know which one uses the most memory and close that tab instead of having to…
Firefox doesn't exit when I close the last tab, just by doing some customization in about:config. But now, my company has to work with some website that only works well on Internet Explorer. I currently use Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP SP3.
So, how do I prevent Internet Explorer 8 from exiting when closing the last tab?
I've…
I often use multiple tabs (30 or more). Since I upgraded to Firefox 17, the addon that I had been using to allow tab stacking is no longer compatible. (I believe Tab Mix Plus was the add-on).
I'm not interested in changing the color of my tabs or having them listed down the left side of my window. I'd like to have them all along the…
Chrome's new tab offers the 8 websites you like to visit. Unfortunately for one of the sites, 4chan.org, the main page is a directory, not somewhere I want to go. I would like the 4chan.org thumb to instead open to 4chan.org/u/, taking me directly there instead of the main directory where I would have to manually find /u/.
Anyone…
A couple of months ago, I configured Firefox to load a local html file containing my commonly-used links whenever I open a new tab
This week I've been trying to find where I set this up. I cannot find this setting anywhere in the Firefox options. Somewhere there is (or was) a dialog box with an item that said something like…
So I've been having problems with my left wrist and working on code for extended period of times, and I've pretty much narrowed the cause down to Intellisense autocomplete and the tab key. Ok, to be fair, I can't blame Intellisense, but constantly reaching over to hit that key is causing problems. I've discovered Enter does…
I wonder if it is possible to use a configuration for that
command "set listchars=tab:¦¦,trail:·" to "see" 4 spaces as tabs
and get the effect of the picture below (using real tabs)...
I use the setting "set expandtab" to Vim use spaces in place
of tabs. I really need to use spaces instead of tabs, but I would
keep…
I have an Ubuntu 11.10 laptop paired with an Apple Wireless Keyboard. I'm using the answer on this question to swap the Command and Option keys so that they are mapped like a regular keyboard. This works fine in Ubuntu.
Now I have a Macbook Pro running as a Synergy Client. This mapping kind of works on the Macbook, but…
How can I switch to the document to the left or right of the current document in Notepad++? For example, if I have documents A, B, and C open, and I'm currently editing B, I would like a shortcut to be able to switch to A (Alt-LeftArrow or Ctrl-Pageup) or C (Alt-RightArrow or Ctrl-PageDown). Is this possible? All I've…
i have been getting very frustrated lately since the readline functionality has been removed from MacOSX and Tab Auto-Completion doesn't work anymore.
So i was wondering if anyone knew a good alternative to use that i could install so i can tab auto-complete files when sftp'd in.
I heard that with-readline is a…
I like to use the Tab key to complete/skip commands/links in Shells/Browsers when typing. But when I hit the tab key in "Run Dialog" causes focus leave Text box, so i'm forced to leave home keys to use arrow keys.
Is there a way change this behavior?
Edit: I found here a flag that enables autocomplete in Run…
Hey Guys,
Here's the challenge--I developed Softphone Screenpop PHP App that takes caller id info and searches for a match in our db, also allows us to collect call statistics. Great for our management but it's driving our reps nuts.
We use firefox here and when our softphone pops to the external page, every…
