  • Drupal CCK Text field not saving.

    Hey Guys, I've been trying to write a CCK Field based on the Text field. But if I create a standard CCK Text field with only 1 value. Then edit a content item for this type, the values are never persisted. When I go back in and edit the same node, the value isn't there. I checked the database and its not in the table for the CCK node. If I use more than one value it works fine. I'm upto date on CCK (6.x-2.6) and CTools (6.x-1.5). Has anyone seen this? and a possible solution?

  • How to allow certain HTML tags in a form field in Symfony 1.2

    I'm playing around with Symfony and have encountered a road block. I created a model "CmsPage" which has a field called "content" which is stored as a clob (this is specific to doctrine I believe). When I created the app I set "--escaping-strategy=on" so if I enter any html when editing a CmsPage that gets encoded with html entities or something along those lines. I would like to allow html in this field and a quick googling hasn't helped much. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong terms. Anywho I would like to disable character escaping for this field and possibly only allow a small selection of html tags. What is the correct way to do this in Symfony?

  • Creating a "Universities Attended" Profile field/block (Drupal)

    Interesting question for everyone. So I have am thinking of adding a "university attended" field to the profile page of members in Drupal. I guess I am trying to figure out the best way to go about it. I was originally thinking of a text field, but than I thought you could get multiple instances of of university names, making it hard to sort people by school (ie. UF, University of Florida, Florida, U of F, etc). I then began to think about creating a drop down, but I wasn't quite sure where I could get a listing of all the schools. Perhaps I could find a database population that a site like LinkedIn or Facebook uses. Then I thought of what happens when someone has attended multiple schools, how would I account for that? So, I guess I wanted to pose the question of how would you go about adding a University(ies) attended field to profile pages if you had to design a site to do so?

After a few months of programming on the whole shop, i wanted to test the quantity field and recognized that it doesn't function. I only can add one product to the cart although i typed “3” in the quantity field. I didn’t change anything in product/view.phtml and addtocart.phtml.     Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle a dropdown list where one of the options "other" shows a hidden text field (via jQuery), where the user can then enter text. Should both the dropdown and the input field be given the same "name" attribute, then server side code runs a check on the values of each in order to know what one is the active value - e.g if the value of the select box is "other", then check the value of the text input field - if this isn't the default value ("enter text"), then it's ok to use this value and save it to the database. Is this a messy approach to this problem?

  • Clearing input text feilds when clicked on in Flash (AS 2.0)

    I have a problem where I want a text field that by default has the word NAME in it, to become empty when a user clicks on it. The text field has the instance name 'nam' and is inside a movie with the instance name 'input_text'. I've searched around and found samples of code where everyone keeps suggesting this: textboxinstancename.onSetFocus = function() { textboxinstancename.text = ""; }; should work. It seems to work for everyone else but me. I've tried using the following on the first frame of the 'input_text' movie with no luck: this.input_text.nam.onSetFocus = function() { this.input_text.nam.text = "" } I've tried putting this on the first frame of the scene, again with no result: _root.input_text.nam.onSetFocus = function() { _root.input_text.nam.text = "" } I've tried this in the same manner as the last respectively with both 'this' on the instance and '_root' on the scene (denoted by x): x.input_text.nam.onSetFocus = function() { if (x.input_text.nam.text == "NAME") { x.input_text.nam.text = ""; } }; Still no luck. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

  • Select hidden input from within next td [jQuery]

    I have a table layed out like this: <td> somename </td> <td class="hoverable value" > somevalue </td> <td class="changed"> </td> <td class="original value"> <input type="hidden" value="somevalue" /> </td> And what I'm trying to do is, I hover over the hoverable td which turns it into a textbox. Once I hover out I want to check the hidden field for it's original value and put an image in changed if the 2 are different from each other. What fails apparently is grabbing the value of the hidden field, and I've tried selecting it in several different ways but just can't get to it. Any ideas or tips are gratefully appreciated ;)

So I went looking. I've found various literature speaking about risk-taking behaviour and patterns, and other statistical differences between men and women when it comes to work performance. See for example this article related to hedge fund management. I have yet to see any such comparison in the computing field. To restate the question: Which specific programming activities do women, on average, perform better than men? Please back up your answers with specific details, preferably by linking to relevant research or, failing that, explaining what you're basing the information on.

    I'm a consultant and I am going to introduce unit tests to all developers at my client site. My goal is to ensure that all new applications should have unit tests for all classes created. The client has a problem with high maintenance costs from fixing bugs in their existing applications. Their applications have a life span from between 5-15 years in which they continuously add new features. I'm quite confident that they will benefit greatly from starting with unit tests. I'm interested in the effect of unit tests on the time and cost of development: How much time will writing unit tests as part of the development process add? How much time will be saved in maintenance activities (testing and debugging) by having good unit tests?

  • How do I update mysql database when posting form without using hidden inputs?

    I have a "members" table in mysql which has approximately 200 field names. Each user is given up to 7 website templates with 26 different values they can insert unique data into for each template. Each time they create a template, they post the form with the 26 associated values. These 26 field names are the same for each template, but are differentiated by an integer at the end, ie _1, _2, ... _7. In the form submitting the template, I have a variable called $pid_sum which is inserted at the end of each field name to identify which template they are creating.     I've got a hosted exchange solution through Apptix, which isn't the problem, I think, but it may be relevant. I have my main account, [email protected], and to that, I have an alias, [email protected]. Whenever I send an email to [email protected], I examine the headers, and I see the "To:" field being correct, "To: [email protected]". All is well. I recently set up another user, [email protected] to function as a multipurpose mailbox. I aliased "[email protected]" to the services account in the same method that I did "[email protected]", however nothing I have sent to "[email protected]" actually goes TO "[email protected]". All of the headers say "To: [email protected]". This makes it extremely difficult to filter based on headers alone. Does anyone have any feedback on what settings I would need to look at in order to fix that?

  • Office 365 Powershell - Export user, license type, and company field to csv file

    I need to be able to export user name or email address (doesn't matter which), company (from the company field under the organization tab in a user account of the exchange admin console), and license type (e.g. exchange online e1, exchange online kiosk etc...) I am able to export both values in two statements into two separate files but that doesn't do me much good. I can export the username and license type with the following: Get-MSOLUser | % { $user=$_; $_.Licenses | Select {$user.displayname},AccountSKuid } | Export-CSV "sample.csv" -NoTypeInformation And, I can get the company values with the following: Get-User | select company | Export-CSV sample.csv Someone on another forum suggested this - $index = @{} Get-User | foreach-object {$index.Add($_.userprincipalname,$_.company)} Get-MsolUser | ForEach-Object { write-host $_.userprincipalname, $index[$_.userprincipalname], $_.licenses.AccountSku.Skupartnumber} That seems like it should work but it doesn't display any license info in my powershell, it's just blank. Also I wouldn't know how to export that to a csv file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I need a text field very similar in behavior to Gxt's NumberField. Unfortunately I am not using Gxt in my application and GWT 2.0 does not have a Numeric text field implementation as yet. So that currently leaves me with an option to simulate a NumberField by filtering out non-numeric keystrokes using a keyboardHandler. Is this the the best way to approach the problem? Does anyone here have a better solution/approach in mind? Thanks in advance :)

  • Keep username in username field when incorrect password (php)

    How do many of the websites that have logins keep the username in the username field when the password is entered incorrectly. The form's action (it is on index.php) is another php file, which if the password is incorrect uses Header() to go back to the index and passes the error to it using GET. I could use GET to pass the username back to the form but this seems messy, and I have noticed that websites like SMF forums have the username stay in the username field without a messy URL.

    We have several users in the field with MacBooks. Because they're not always on the network, they save files locally to their notebooks. Normally I back things up by making quick copies to other media, but with the Macs they have the option to run Time Machine (and the way OS X is designed, they're heavily encouraged to use it.) Question; for maintaining Macs and data, how reliable and thorough is Time Machine for backup/restoration? Does it just back up the user's home directory, or can it restore the Mac if, for example, the drive fails? And are there options for "securing" the data like corporate backup software for Windows does, to encrypt the data on the time machine drive?

    I have to setup an embedded standalone CIFS server outside of domain environment. I shall refer to the server as storage_gateway. The default password setting for the Administrator account is Password must be changed. Until Administrator password is changed other local accounts are disabled. While the server is on default password connecting to a share causes fails with NT_STATUS_PASSWORD_MUST_CHANGE error. $ smbclient -L //storage_gateway -U Administrator session setup failed: NT_STATUS_PASSWORD_MUST_CHANGE I have a mixed Linux/Windows environment and prefer smbclient for diagnostics. To change the password in Windows 2003 Server I could press CTRL-ALT-DEL to get into the Windows Security window and change password for the remote server specifying the server name or ip address (xx.xx.xx.xx) in the system password change dialog. (the name root is just an example, I have edited the dialogs to translate them) However in Windows 2008 the corresponding dialog lacks the Log on to field. Is there a way to change a remote password in Windows 2008 Server/Windows 7?
