    I'm creating a custom control, and I want to get all the stuff within the tags and use it as a string Text field on my control: i.e. <custom:control ID="C" runat="server">This text should go into the text property</custom:control> Does anyone know how to achieve this? I've tried the following attributes on my text field (copied from the Literal control) but it doesn't seem to work! [DefaultValue(""), Bindable(true), Localizable(true)]

  • Missing subject field values in user certificate (Windows)

    I am trying to enroll (on behalf of) a user certificate but certain fields appear to be missing in the subject field. Specifically, O and OU. Using ADSI, I see that the fields have the values I want but when I generate the certificate using Enroll on Behalf, certreq.exe, or certmgr.msc (run as different user) O does not appear at all and OU values are the AD containers the user account belongs to. This occurs despite my specifying the values in my .inf for certreq and setting the values in certificate properties when using certmgr.msc. Am I missing something or could I have configured something wrong? I am using an in internal CA.

    I'm working in VS2008 and C#, and I'm looking for a (free) code generator tool to generate a property with getter and setter, as well as the backing private field to go with. The template thingy in VS does not make the field to go with it. Just looking for something a little bit better. I once saw a web site where you could build this code, then cust-and-paste it from the web page to your code.

I could obviously store the value in two fields (currency lookup from a list, value in second field), but I take it as wondering whether there is a more viable approach that.

    I need to generate folders containing certain Excel field entries: Additionally, I need to append a date to the folder name based on that entry So If I have the above Excel table, I'd need the following set of folders to be generated in the same directory: Is this possible using a macro? Also, in case I add another entry how would I generate another folder only for that entry; for example I add another project CWO-1106: Basically, I'd like to keep updating the Excel sheet and create folders only for the new entries Any help would be appreciated.     I'm setting up an SSO for Active Directory users through a website that runs on an Apache (Apache2 on SLES 11.1), and when testing with Firefox it all works fine. But when I try to open the website in Internet Explorer 8 (Windows 7), all I get is "Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.   • Windows 7 comments field missing when browsing network

    I have just purchased three Windows 7 Professional Dell 64-bit PCs for testing prior to upgrading our company’s 120+ PCs from Windows XP Professional. The setup is a standard domain with a Windows Server 2003 32-bit server. We name each PC XP1 to XP150 so that when users join or leave, I don’t have to rename the PC. We use the Description field to allocate the user’s name to each PC. We also have a share set up on each PC using the user’s name. When I browse the network using Windows Explorer in XP, I get a useful display. The left pane showing the PC number and the right pane showing NAME and COMMENTS So, for example I would see: XP01 Fred Bloggs (Each PC on a new row.) The right pane is my main tool for administering the network. I can easily see the PC number and the name of the user. However, in Windows 7, this seems to have been thrown out of the window and replaced with fields that I do not need and in my case always display the same info. "Name", "Category", "Workgroup", "Network Location" In my case the Name column gives the PC number (XP10) etc and all three other columns display identical useless information. So I can’t see who is using XP10. When I am in “help desk” mode, I would naturally ask the user’s name and use my remote desktop client to view their screen. The user isn’t aware of their PC name, so I am finding it impossible to match the user name with a PC number. Any ideas how to overcome this "by design" change to Windows 7?

    Does anybody knows how can component <ice:selectInputDate> be mapped on a java.util.Calendar field, not java.util.Date? I am using from IceFaces version 1.8.2, the component <ice:selectInputDate>. This component requires to be bound with a java.util.Date proeprty. For example, value="#{bean.myDate}", the myDate field must be of type java.util.Date. But I need my date field to be of type java.util.Calendar. My trials: I have tried to use standard converter or a custom one: Standard one: <f:convertDateTime pattern="dd/MM/yyyy" /> it formats correct the value in GUI, but when setting it on the property bean.myDate of type Calendar I get following error message: [5/3/10 12:09:18:398 EEST] 00000021 lifecycle I WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed. sourceId=j_id12:j_id189:myDate[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(/WEB-INF/xhtml............file.xhtml @507,51 value="#{bean.myDate}": Can't set property 'myDate' on class 'bean' to value '5/11/10 3:00 AM'.), detail=(/WEB-INF/xhtml........file.xhtml @507,51 value="#{bean.myDate}": Can't set property 'myDate' on class '...bean...' to value '5/11/10 3:00 AM'.)] Custom one: <f:converter converterId="c2d"/> getAsObject - returns the java.util.Calendar object out of the submitted String. getAsString - receives an Object, and returns the String formatted. NOTE: this method was hacked so instead of expecting java.util.Calendar, to be complementary with getAsObject method. Instead, the hacked method getAsString, expects an java.util.Date, provided as parameter (by ice:selectInputDate) and returns the String formatted.
