  • System.ArgumentException: Invalid hex character at DecryptAssemblyResource

    - by Radu094
My webapp is trowing these exceptions intermitently ever since we migrated to Mono + Apache: The error sounds more like a problem reading/processing some assembly, so I was wondering if I should be worried that there might be a problem with the hard-drive? System.ArgumentException: Invalid hex character at System.Web.Configuration.MachineKeySectionUtils.ToHexValue (Char c, Boolean high) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.Configuration.MachineKeySectionUtils.GetBytes (System.String key, Int32 len) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler.GetBytes (System.String val) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler.DecryptAssemblyResource (System.String val, System.String& asmName, System.String& resName) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler.ProcessRequest (System.Web.HttpContext context) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler.System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest (System.Web.HttpContext context) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.HttpApplication+<Pipeline>c__Iterator2.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Web.HttpApplication.Tick () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 Method: Void Application_Error(System.Object, System.EventArgs) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void ProcessError(System.Exception) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void Tick() at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void Start(System.Object) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest(System.Web.HttpContext) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void Process(System.Web.HttpWorkerRequest) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void RealProcessRequest(System.Object) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void ProcessRequest(System.Web.HttpWorkerRequest) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void ProcessRequest() at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void ProcessRequest(Mono.WebServer.MonoWorkerRequest) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void ProcessRequest(Int32, System.String, System.String, System.String, System.String, System.String, Int32, System.String, Int32, System.String, System.String[], System.String[], System.Object) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void InnerRun(System.Object) at File: at Line Number: 0 Method: Void Run(System.Object) at File: at Line Number: 0

  • Ruby shortest/most efficient way to write rnd hex

    - by Whirlwin
Hi. What I have is a method used to generate random hex values. E.g 666 or FF7 However, I don't think it is efficient at all.. What I want is to make it more efficient which perhaps will make my code shorter as well, but I don't know how. That is why I need tips or hints Here is my code so far: def random_values random_values = Array.new letters = ['A','B','C','D','E','F'] for i in 1..15 if i <= 9 random_values << i else random_values << letters[i-10] end end return random_values.shuffle[0].to_s + random_values.shuffle[0].to_s + random_values.shuffle[0].to_s end As you probably see, I do not generate random numbers. I just shuffle the array containing the values I want, meaning all the numbers in the array are unique, which is not needed, but was the easiest solution for me when I wrote the code. I am most concerned about the return line.. If only it was possible to write like: return 3.times { random_values.shuffle[0] } or return random_values.shuffle[0].to_s *3 Thanks in advance!

Hi. What I have is a method used to generate random hex values. E.g 666 or FF7 However, I don't think it looks simple/elegant at all.. • How do I read hex numbers into an unsigned int in C [Solved]

    - by sil3nt
    I'm wanting to read hex numbers from a text file into an unsigned integer so that I can execute Machine instructions. It's just a simulation type thing that looks inside the text file and according to the values and its corresponding instruction outputs the new values in the registers. For example, the instructions would be: 1RXY - Save register R with value in memory address XY 2RXY - Save register R with value XY BRXY - Jump to register R if xy is this and that etc.. ARXY - AND register R with value at memory address XY The text file contains something like this each in a new line. (in hexidecimal) 120F B007 290B My problem is copying each individual instruction into an unsigned integer...how do I do this? #include <stdio.h> int main(){ FILE *f; unsigned int num[80]; f=fopen("values.txt","r"); if (f==NULL){ printf("file doesnt exist?!"); } int i=0; while (fscanf(f,"%x",num[i]) != EOF){ fscanf(f,"%x",num[i]); i++; } fclose(f); printf("%x",num[0]); }

  • Slow editor in Eclipse Galileo

    - by schneck
Since I updated Eclipse from Ganymede to Galileo on Mac OS X 10.5, the editor is incredible slow, independently of the programming language: I tried Python and PHP, and for both, the editor scrolling is very slow, like on a very old computer (I'm using am up-to-date Macbook). Any idea where I could tweak it?

  • Active Directory: Viewing "Attribute Editor" after finding an account via ADUC's "Find" option

    - by Beaming Mel-Bin
When I activate the Advanced features (View - Advanced Features) and open a user's properties by navigating to their OU and right clicking the user object, I see the Attribute Editor tab. However, if I search for a user (right click the domain - Find - search for the user), and double click on the user, I do not see the tab. I cannot normally navigate to users because some OUs have too many users. Can someone suggest an alternative that allows me to view the Attribute Editor tab?

  • Improved ACL editor for Windows file permissions

    - by Myrddin Emrys
I have recently been doing a lot of updates to our network drive permissions... such as consolidating direct user permissions into group permissions. The built-in ACL editor (Advanced Security Settings dialog) is adequate, but its limitations are frustrating, particularly that it cannot be resized and you cannot look at the list of existing entries at the same time as you are adding a new entry. Is there an improved ACL editor that can be downloaded to supplement the default one?

  • Nice network diagram editor?

    - by Nicolas Raoul
Writing a commercial proposal, I want to create a nice graphic showing the clients the architecture I thought of for their IT network, with servers, network connections, firewall, load-balancing, etc. For years I have been using dia, but I am tired of it, the results are not satisfying, very few network elements are available, and each element's graphic representation is really ugly. Question: How to create nice network diagrams? If a better set of elements was available for dia, that would be a solution.

  • SQL SERVER – Denali Feature – Zoom Query Editor

    - by pinaldave
SQL Server next version ‘Denali’ is coming up with very neat feature which can be used while presentations, group discussion or for people who prefers large fonts. I have increased the font size to 400 percentage and for the same reason they are very large. You can adjust the font size which is convenient to you. One more reason to go for next version of SQL Server. • Website Editor control for WYSIWYG/regions

    - by Dan Smith
For lack of a better title, let me try to explain further: I'm looking for a control that will allow me to have a library of "page elements" (such as a list of employees, or a photo gallery, or a contact form, etc) that could be dragged onto the page canvas. The page canvas could have pre-set regions/boxes where these items could be drug into, preventing the user from screwing up the pages layout. I'm looking for any pre-built commercial (or open-source with commercial use allowed) tools available like this.

  • Interview with Tim Danaher - Editor of Retail Week

    - by sarah.taylor(at)oracle.com
Last week I caught up with Tim Danaher from Retail Week about the judging process for the Oracle Retail Week Awards.  It was great to get Tim's perspective on the retail industry and his thoughts on emerging trends in the entries this year.   The Oracle Retail Week Awards are going to be very exciting this year and I'm very priviledged to be presenting awards to winners again.  The awards ceremony is on March 17th - if you're coming then I look forward to seeing you there.

  • Ogre3D, OGRE_NEW gives editor errors

    - by automaticoo
Hello Game Developers, I am trying to get more experienced with OGRE3D and I am following the basic tutorials on the website. All the code samples compile just fine. The first time I encountered a "error" was in Basic Tutorurial 3. The code line where visual studio says something is not right is : mTerrainGroup = OGRE_NEW Ogre::TerrainGroup(mSceneMgr, Ogre::Terrain::ALIGN_X_Z, 513, 12000.0f); Visual studio compiles this line but it shows a ugly red line beneath it and on mouse hover it says "#define OGRE_NEW new (FILE, LINE, FUNCTION) Error: no instance of overloaded 'operator new' matches the argument list" or if I mouse hover over Ogre::TerrainGlobalOptions() it says "Error: expected a type specifier". I searched on google but couldn't find my answer. I got about a year c++ experience but that was mainly with the WinSock libarys. Thanks in advance.

  • Is there a very simple XML Editor/Viewer?

    - by Paul Spangle
Part of our support job is to look at XML documents sent to our systems by our clients that have failed to load correctly. I do this by pasting the file in to Visual Studio as an XML file and VS colours it and adds line-breaks, indenting, etc. and it's then usually quite simple to spot the error and manually fix it and resubmit the document. Do I really have to use Visual Studio to do this? OK, it does the job quite well, but I'd have thought that something like Notepad++ would do the job just as well with a fraction of the machine resource usage. Is there are plugin for Notepad++ or another bit of freeware that can make XML look pretty and let me make simple edits?

  • Why ISO master (editor) does not read Windows images

    - by Jacek Blocki
I have the followjng problem with ISO master software: I try to edit WIndows 7 ISO image $ isomaster windows7.iso The file does open, unfortunately all I get is README with message: This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification. isomaster comes form Ubuntu repository, I am using 12.04. The system has kernel support for UDF installed, I can mount above ISO (mount -o loop) and see its content read only. Any idea how to fix it? Using other than isomaster tool is also an option. Regards, Jacek
