    Hello Everybody, I want to get the index of the min value of a numpy array that contains NaNs and I want them ignored >>> a = array([ nan, 2.5, 3., nan, 4., 5.]) >>> a array([ NaN, 2.5, 3. , NaN, 4. , 5. ]) if I run argmin, it returns the index of the first NaN >>> a.argmin() 0 I substitute NaNs with Infs and then run argmin >>> a[isnan(a)] = Inf >>> a array([ Inf, 2.5, 3. , Inf, 4. , 5. ]) >>> a.argmin() 1 My dilemma is the following: I'd rather not change NaNs to Infs and then back after I'm done with argmin (since NaNs have a meaning later on in the code). Is there a better way to do this? There is also a question of what should the result be if all of the original values of a are NaN? In my implementation the answer is 0

But the 'a's within the <script> tag should not be removed. or is there any way to replace text other than this method Please help .

    I have a website that is using the viewport META tag to tell mobile browsers how to display content ( ). Viewing the page in the Android browser looks correct (and iPhone, etc). When I load the page into a WebView component in an android Application, the WebView ignores the "VIEWPORT" tag, and renders the page at "full" resolution, which is zoomed-in in this case.

    So, I'd like to be able to make a call x = MyClass.new('good morning', 'good afternoon', 'good evening', 'good night', ['hello', 'goodbye']) that would add methods to the class whose values are the values of the arguments. So now: p x.methods #> [m_greeting, a_greeting, e_greeting, n_greeting, r_greeting, ...] And p x.m_greeting #> "good morning" p x.r_greeting #> ['hello', 'goodbye'] I realize that this is sort of what instance variables are to do (and that if I wanted them immutable I could make them frozen constants) but, for reasons beyond my control, I need to make methods instead.     I'm developing my first java application using Eclipse. I've recently needed to adjust the amount of memory allocated by passing -Xmx256M to the JVM. The application is currently package up as a runnable jar and installed using the NSIS. I'm having a problem passing arguments to the jar file once its installed. What is the common practice for doing this? Here is what I'm currently doing in my nsi file: CreateShortcut "$SMPROGRAMS\$StartMenuGroup\$(^Name).lnk" "$SYSDIR\javaw.exe" "-jar -Xmx256M $INSTDIR\Foo.jar" This results in the following being created as the shortcut Target on windows: C:\WINDOWS\system32\javaw.exe -jar -Xmx256M C:\Program Files\Foo\Foo.jar Unfortunately this does not work due to the space in C:\Program Files, If I change the link created manually to include quotes all is well: C:\WINDOWS\system32\javaw.exe -jar -Xmx256M "C:\Program Files\Foo\Foo.jar"

How do I make it such that when I click on the anchor tag, the event on the parent will not be triggered? I've tried using the Jquery method stopPropagation() but still no luck. Any thoughts?     I'm using a mod-rewrite for pretty URLs, meant to run on the domain root. Working fine but now I'm trying to make it run on a subdomain and it keeps giving "500 Internal Server Error". The subdomain automatically redirects to the folder with that name on my hosting account (sub.domain.com shows the content of domain.com/sub/). Does it fail because this request is already being mod-rewritten automatically or can I simply change something in the htaccess to address the subdomain instead?     I have a Visual Studio 2008 C++ application where I would like to copy all of program arguments in to a string separated by a whitespace " ". i.e., if my program is called as foo.exe \Program Files, then my folder string below would contain \Program Files Below is an example of what I'm doing now. I was wondering if there was a shorter or easier method of doing this.     Hi, Weird question, but I have a dictionary created with StringComparer.OrdinalIgnoreCase, looks something like this AaA, 10 aAB, 20 AAC, 12 I then use myDictionary["AAA"] to find the value associated with the key, but what I also need to know is what the actual spelling of the key is in myDictionary, e.g. in this case I want it to return AaA. Any way to do this without a loop? Thx.

    I'm running into problems trying to pass absolute URIs as parameters with clean URLs enabled. I've got hook_menu() set up like this: function mymodule_menu() { return array( 'page/%' = array( 'title' = 'DBpedia Display Test', 'page callback' = 'mymodule_dbpedia_display', 'page arguments' = array(1), ), ); } and in the page callback: function mymodule_dbpedia_display($uri) { // Make an HTTP request for this URI // and then render some things return $output; } What I'm hoping to do is somehow pass full URIs (e.g. "http://dbpedia.org/resource/Coffee") to my page callback. I've tried a few things and nothing's worked so far... http://mysite.com/page/http%3A%2F%2Fdbpedia.org%2Fresource%2FCoffee Completely breaks Drupal's rewriting http://mysite.com/page/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdbpedia.org%2Fresource%2FCoffee Gives a 404 http://mysite.com/page/http://dbpedia.org/resource/Coffee Returns just "http:", which makes sense I could probably use $_GET to pull out the whole query string, but I guess I'm hoping for a more 'Drupal' solution. Any suggestions?

    In a project where some of the files contains ^M as newline separators. Diffing these files are apparently impossible, since git-diff sees it as the entire file is just a single line. How does one diff with the previous version?     I am validating constructor and method arguments, as I want to the software, especially the model part of it, to fail fast. As a result, constructor code often looks like this public MyModelClass(String arg1, String arg2, OtherModelClass otherModelInstance) { if(arg1 == null) { throw new IllegalArgumentsException("arg1 must not be null"); } // further validation of constraints... // actual constructor code... } Is there a way to do that with an annotation driven approach? Something like: public MyModelClass(@NotNull(raise=IllegalArgumentException.class, message="arg1 must not be null") String arg1, @NotNull(raise=IllegalArgumentException.class) String arg2, OtherModelClass otherModelInstance) { // actual constructor code... } In my eyes this would make the actual code a lot more readable. The returned type isn't IDisposable in this case. Does it come down to discretion?

    I've got a class like this: class Image (models.Model): ... sizes = ((90,90), (300,250)) def resize_image(self): for size in sizes: ... and another class like this: class SomeClassWithAnImage (models.Model): ... an_image = models.ForeignKey(Image) what i'd like to do with that class is this: class SomeClassWithAnImage (models.Model): ... an_image = models.ForeignKey(Image, sizes=((90,90), (150, 120))) where i'm can specify the sizes that i want the Image class to use to resize itself as a argument rather than being hard coded on the class. I realise I could pass these in when calling resize_image if that was called directly but the idea is that the resize_image method is called automatically when the object is persisted to the db. if I try to pass arguments through the foreign key declaration like this i get an error straight away. is there an easy / better way to do this before I begin hacking down into django?

    I have not been capable of finding this anywhere online. I was looking to find out using a profiler how to better optimize my code, and when sorting by which functions use up the most time cumulatively, things like str(), print, and other similar widely used functions eat up much of the profile. What is the best way to profile a python program to get the user-defined functions only to see what areas of their code they can optimize? I hope that makes sense, any light you can shed on this subject would be very appreciated.
