    I am trying to format a date: FORMAT(table.TCKT.TCKT_ISS_DATE, 'YYYY') AS TICKETYEAR but I am getting the following error: ORA-00904: "FORMAT": invalid identifier Right now the date show the complete timestamp. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem, or any other way to format the date to just show the four digit year?

    Silly question, I want to format an integer so that it appears with the 1000's separator (,), but also without decimal places and without a leading 0. My attempts so far have been: String.Format("{0} {1}", 5, 5000); // 5 5000 String.Format("{0:n} {1:n}", 5, 5000); // 5.00 5,000.00 String.Format("{0:0,0} {1:0,0}", 5, 5000); // 05 5,000 The output I'm after is: 5 5,000 Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

    Has anyone been successful with transferring audio cassette tape recordings to a digital format? I would like to preserve old cassette tape recordings of my grandparents to some digital format: MP3, WAV, etc... The quality of the tapes are mediocre. I think I can handle the quality restoration but getting the audio from tape to digital is my question. Below is a list of the hardware that I can work with: Cassette Deck: I have a Technics stereo cassette deck model RS-B12. It has separate left and right IN and OUT RCA type jacks on the back. In the front it has a headphone phono jack, plus left and right mic input phono jacks. On the computer side: -I have a Windows Vista PC with no additional software other than what came with the machine from Costco. No sound editing software that I can see. There is no sound card on the PC. On the front panel there is a mini-phono mic input jack and there are several different types of in/out mini-phono jacks on the back. In addition, USB and Firewire. I also have access to a new (2009) iMac with a mini-phono input jack for a powered mic or other audio source and GarageBand that has come with the computer. In addition, USB and Firewire. What are my options for getting these cassette recordings into a digital format? Whats the best format? What sort of wires would I need and will I want to utilize the USB or Firewire or can I simply use the audio inputs on the PC (or Mac) to receive the audio stream?

For instance, if a french user (sorry it's the only format i know i won't make a mistake :-) try to call with the national format : 01.47.12.34.56 then a method will convert it into international format like this : +33.1.47.12.34.56 I've looked into the doc of the PhoneNumberUtils but i don't know if there is a method doing what i want.

  • Money type field returns Dollar, but regional set to UK (Windows 7)

    Hi, On a Windows 7 machine with Advantage Data Architect version 9.10.0.11, money type data is returned as Dollars, instead of Pounds. Sometimes, it will suddenly switch to Pounds, without me changing any settings. Everything else returns Pounds correctly (regional settings is UK with £ as the currency symbol). Has anyone else had this problem and/or found a solution? If I run any reports using the money data type field I can't be sure that it's going to be accurate. And no, I can't change the field type and handle the currency symbol myself. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Raspberry Pi how to format HDD

    Hi I am very new to Raspberry Pi environment, so looking for a bit of help to format a usb hard disk drive. I ran lsblk and got sda 8:0 0 37.3G 0 disk sda1 8:1 0 37.3G 0 part looking on web, if tried the following "sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda1 -L USB40gb" it did something but when I tried to mount the drive again, it still showed the files that were there before and I can not create new file/folder "Error creating directory: Permission denied" I am writing this from my windows 8.1 pc so can not cut and paste from the pi. trying to format its output is a bit hard. Oh, there is Nothing written after the word "part" above. There use to be /media/USB40gb so I have done something because this has disappeared. I am using PCManFM 0.9.10 It does not have a format option, which would make life a lot easier, but then its not windows. I think I am running the basic linux os for the pi. It boots to a graphic environment, but I do not know how to advise what it is. I think its OpenBox 2.0.4 Thanks in advance Speed PS: I reran the format string above but this time I changed the label to read USB37gb. I did this to confirm that I was in fact formatting the right drive. Low and behold, it actually formatted the drive, wiping everything from it. Great ... testing it by creating a new folder on the drive and get error msg Permission Denied! So I have fixed the formatting issue by trial and error but still can't use the drive... Suggestions anyone?

    I have a USB flash drive, which I may have mucked up, so I used DISKPART's CLEAN to clean it up. I created a simple volume, and tried to format it. (This is all using Windows' disk management.) I was told The system cannot find the file specified. So I tried using DISKPART (as an admin): DISKPART select volume 9 Volume 9 is the selected volume. DISKPART format recommended DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified. See the System Event Log for more information. DISKPART As you can see, no luck. When I plug the drive in, the computer makes a beep noise as though it has recognised something, but nothing appears in My Computer How can I format the disk so I can use it again?

  • SQL SERVER – Auto Complete and Format T-SQL Code – Devart SQL Complete

    Some people call it laziness, some will call it efficiency, some think it is the right thing to do. At any rate, tools are meant to make a job easier, and I like to use various tools. If we consider the history of the world, if we all wanted to keep traditional practices, we would have never invented the wheel.  But as time progressed, people wanted convenience and efficiency, which then led to laziness. Wanting a more efficient way to do something is not inherently lazy.  That’s how I see any efficiency tools. A few days ago I found Devart SQL Complete.  It took less than a minute to install, and after installation it just worked without needing any tweaking.  Once I started using it I was impressed with how fast it formats SQL code – you can write down any terms or even copy and paste.  You can start typing right away, and it will complete keywords, object names, and fragmentations. It completes statement expressions.  How many times do we write insert, update, delete?  Take this example: to alter a stored procedure name, we don’t remember the code written in it, you have to write it over again, or go back to SQL Server Studio Manager to create and alter which is very difficult.  With SQL Complete , you can write “alter stored procedure,” and it will finish it for you, and you can modify as needed. I love to write code, and I love well-written code.  When I am working with clients, and I find people whose code have not been written properly, I feel a little uncomfortable.  It is difficult to deal with code that is in the wrong case, with no line breaks, no white spaces, improper indents, and no text wrapping.  The worst thing to encounter is code that goes all the way to the right side, and you have to scroll a million times because there are no breaks or indents.  SQL Complete will take care of this for you – if a developer is too lazy for proper formatting, then Devart’s SQL formatter tool will make them better, not lazier. SQL Management Studio gives information about your code when you hover your mouse over it, however SQL Complete goes further in it, going into the work table, and the current rate idea, too. It gives you more information about the parameters; and last but not least, it will just take you to the help file of code navigation.  It will open object explorer in a document viewer.  You can start going through the various properties of your code – a very important thing to do. Here are are interesting Intellisense examples: 1) We are often very lazy to expand *however, when we are using SQL Complete we can just mouse over the * and it will give us all the the column names and we can select the appropriate columns. 2) We can put the cursor after * and it will give us option to expand it to all the column names by pressing the Tab key. 3) Here is one more Intellisense feature I really liked it. I always alias my tables and I always select the alias with special logic. When I was using SQL Complete I selected just a tablename (without schema name) and…(just like below image) … and it autocompleted the schema and alias name (the way I needed it). I believe using SQL Complete we can work faster.  It supports all versions of SQL Server, and works SQL formatting.  Many businesses perform code review and have code standards, so why not use an efficiency tool on everyone’s computer and make sure the code is written correctly from the first time?  If you’re interested in this tool, there are free editions available.  If you like it, you can buy it.  I bought it because it works.  I love it, and I want to hear all your opinions on it, too.   • Does this file format exist?

    Is there a file format that handles the following use case... I'd like to create a tar file (or whatever - I'm just using tar here b/c it's a well known file format for containing multiple files) that would be usable even if I only had access to specific chunks of said file. For example, say I tar up my mp3 and photo collection into a 100GB tar file, then put the file into some long term storage somewhere. Later, I want to access a specific mp3 file. I don't want to download the entire 100GB tar file just to get to one mp3. In fact, let's say I can't download the entire 100GB tar file. Instead, I'd like to say "give me megabytes 10 through 19 of the 100GB tar file" and then have the mp3 magically extracted from those 10 megabytes. Does a file format like this exist?

  • Windows 7 external 2.5 hard drive read write permissions format

    Working with Windows 7 professional. While trying to format western digital 250GB sata laptop drive; receiving error not initialized. Went to elevated command line to diskpart to clean all; received error message write protected. Went to Disk Management & Virtual disk drive shows as disk 2 not initialized. No format options available greyed out. Went back to command line tried to see attributes disk is read only. How do I take owner ship to change the permissions & format.

  • Program to print gCal or iCal calendars in a monthly one calendar per column format

    I'm moving my family off of using the low tech "Boynton Mom's Family Calendar" to schedule things but I'd like to be able to create a monthly printout of the calendar in the same "Boynton" format (I'm sure it has an official name). The format is kind-of like a spreadsheet where each row of the calendar is a different day of the month and there is a separate column for each person in the family. I have all our calendars on Google but they are also accessible from iCal on the Mac. Is there a Mac program that can get the data from gCal or iCal print out the calendars in the Boynton format?

  • Converting web.config from IIS6 to IIS7 format

    I'm a bit stuck, kinda been lumbered with a website developed over a year ago. The company that designed it and the company that own it dont now speak so I have been lumbered with trying to get it to work. Bought the web space and have loaded it on to one of our sub domains while I get it working. Problem is that the Hosting provider is running ISS7 and the web.config was designed in IIS6 so am getting an error500 cause the tags are wrong. Could anyone give me some pointers on how to migrate the current web.config file over to IIS7.

    I'm learning iPhone development and a friend will be doing the graphics/animation. I'll be using cocos2d most likely (if that matters). My friend wants to get started on the graphics, and I don't know what image resolution or dpi or formats are recommended. This probably depends on if something is a background vs. a small character. Also, I know I read something about using @2x in image file names to support high res iphone screens. Does cocos2d prefer a different way? Or is this not something to worry about at this point? What should I know before they start working on the graphics?

    I have few DVD-RAM disks and when using udftools, specifically sudo mkudffs --media-type=dvdram /dev/sr0 where /dev/sr0 is my DVD-RAM drive, I get trying to change type of multiple extents and nothing happens. What should I do? EDIT After trying with dvd+tools, here's what I got: #dvd+rw-format /dev/dvd -format=full -ssa=default * BD/DVD±RW/-RAM format utility by <[email protected]>, version 7.1. * 4.6GB DVD-RAM media detected. * formatting 54.8| And same error as before from mkudffs.
