  • Add/remove Cake named URL parameter for a link

    Using CakePHP 1.3 there are named parameters in the URL like .../name:value/... These are used for example by pagination links .../page:2/key:date/sort:desc/... How to generate links with HtmlHelper::link() adding/deleting such named parameters from the current URL? Basically I want create links to add/remove/modify the category:ID named parameter in the current URL. It must not touch the URL, anchor, other named parameters, GET parameters in the URL. Or how can I pass named parameters to HtmlHelper::link()?

  • How to make parameters optional when using Rails named routes?

    I have a named route: map.find '/find/:category/:state/:search_term/:permalink', :search_term=>nil, :controller=>'find', :action=>'show_match' and the following URL matches it & works OK: http://localhost:3000/find/cars/ca/TestSeachTerm/bumpedupphoto-test but if I take out the 2nd last parameter i.e. "TestSearchTerm", then the route fails to get matched, even though I have :search_term=nil in the route. http://localhost:3000/find/cars/ca//bumpedupphoto-test Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? Being trying to solve this for a few days now. Thanks!

    Consider multiple domains (with different country extensions) that go to one singe physical website. Depending on the country extension of the domain, I want to route to a specific subfolder while keeping the active domain! Examples: www.mydomain.com/we/about-us.aspx to www.mydomain.com/content/com/we/about-us.aspx www.mydomain.fr/we/about-us.aspx to www.mydomain.fr/content/fr/we/about-us.aspx www.mydomain.be/we/about-us.aspx to www.mydomain.be/content/be/we/about-us.aspx Is this possible with the new web routing features in ASP.NET 4.0?     I have a folder(/MyFolder/) with a dedicated web.config in it that does an impersonating In that folder I have an asp.net file that use Microsoft report viewer 8.0 named MyReport.aspx When I view this folder on my machine, it's working perfectly without issue When I publish my project to the dev server and I'm trying to view the report, I have an issue where the the user that run IIS doesn't have access to something, (rsAccessDenied) Can asp.net routing cause this issue? (I'm not at work right now so I can only go by memory so it will be hard to provide more information)

  • In Symfony how can you instantely cache the routing.yml?

    I have a file located at [application]/config/routing.yml, when I change something in there, the changes aren't active. This probably has to do with the cache as when I go into that directory [cache]/[application]/prod/config the currently active file can be seen config_routing.yml.php. The lifetime of the cache is generally 86400 seconds, is there a way that I can immediately view/activate the changes?

  • Content Based Routing with BRE and ESB

    I've been working with BizTalk 2009 and the ESB toolkit for the past couple of days.  This is actually my first exposure to ESB and so far I'm pleased with how easy it is to work with. Initially we had planned to use UDDI for storing endpoint information.  However after discussing this with my client, we opted to look at BRE instead of UDDI since we're already storing transforms in BRE.  Fortunately making the change to BRE from UDDI was quite simple.  This solution of course has the added advantage of not needing to go through the convoluted process of registering our endpoints in UDDI. The first thing to remember if you want to do content based routing with BRE and ESB is that the pipleines included in the ESB toolkit don't include disassembler components.  This means that you'll need to first create a custom recieve pipeline with the necessary disassembler for your message type as well as the ESB components, itinerary selector and dispather. Next you need to create a BRE policy.  The ESB.ContextInfo vocabulary contains vocabulary links for the various items in the ESB context dictionary.  In this vocabulary, you'll find an item called Context Message Type, use this as the left hand side of your condition.  Set the right hand side to your message type, something like http://your.message.namespace/#yourrootelement.  Now find the ESB.EndPointInfo vocabulary.  This contains links to all the properties related to endpoint information.  Use the various set operators in your rule's action to configure your endpoint. In the example above, I'm using the WCF-SQL adapter. Now that the hard work is out of the way, you just need to configure the resolver in your itinerary. Nothing complicated here.  Just select BRE as your resolver implementation and select your policy from the drop-down list.  Note that when you select a policy, the Version field will be automatically filled in with the version of your policy.  If you leave this as-is, the resolver will always use that policy version.  Alternatively, you can clear the version number and the resolver will use the highest deployed version.

  • Google Apps routing to different servers, depending on domain

    We are investigating Google Apps for Education for our group of schools. Currently, each school uses their own Exchange (2003) server. Each school has its own domain which I have added to Google Apps as additional domains. I would like to start transitioning certain staff and some new pupils over to Google Apps to start testing. In this interim phase, I need mail to be routed through Google Apps and then, if no appropriate mail box is found, route on to the individual schools depending on the recipient. I do know that it is possible to route mail that does not have an appropriate Google Apps mail account to a single server - under "Settings / E-mail Settings / General Settings / Routing / E-mail routing". This works well for a single organisation where all the extra mail is destined for one place. I do know that it is possible to set up Routes, under "Settings / E-mail Settings / Hosts" and then use rules, found under "Settigns / E-mail Settings / General Settings / Routing / Receiving Routing". I can then filter based on e-mail domain and forward on to the necessary server. My problem with this, as I understand it, is that it ignores the users that have Google Apps accounts set up and sends all mail to the Exchange server. Are there any solutions for this predicament?     I'm moving my home-baked web site to MVC and got the trouble with url routing. The site already serves several links that contain tilde (~) character in the path; something like http://.../~files/... http://.../~ws/... and I want each of them are handled by separate controller, like filesController, wsController, so my route table looks like routes.MapRoute( "files", "~files/{*prms}", new { controller = "files", action = "index", prms = "" } ); routes.MapRoute( "ws", "~ws/{*prms}", new { controller = "ws", action = "index", prms = "" } ); ... but when I try to get the result I got the error saying "The route URL cannot start with a '/' or '~' character and it cannot contain a '?' character." As I understand those characters have the special meaning in ASP.net but is it possible to mask them somehow, at least tilde? Should I parse and route requests like this myself? What the best practice to handle urls like this? Thanks!

  • Ending a Rails 2 URL with an IP address causes routing error?

    I'm trying to construct URLs in the format http://servername/find/by/CRITERION/VALUE CRITERION is a finite set of strings, as is VALUE. Trouble is, VALUE needs to be an IP address in some situations, and it's causing me a routing error. Here's my route: map.find 'find/by/:criterion/:query', :controller => "find", :action => "by" And the error, from the Mongrel logs: Processing ApplicationController#index (for 127.0.0.1 at 2010-05-07 10:20:32) [GET] ActionController::RoutingError (No route matches "/find/by/ip/1.2.3.4" with {:method=>:get}): Rendering rescues/layout (not_found) If I visit /find/by/foo/bar or /find/by/foo/1234 I don't have problems. I suspect the problem might be Rails' inference of MIME types based on periods in the URL, but I don't really know how I can disable that. I've tried passing a :defaults = {:format = :html} to the route but that causes Mongrel to fail to start entirely. Any help appreciated!

    I've looked at the routing on StackOverflow and I've got a very noobie question, but something I'd like clarification none the less. I'm looking specifically at the Users controller http://stackoverflow.com/Users http://stackoverflow.com/Users/Login http://stackoverflow.com/Users/124069/rockinthesixstring What I'm noticing is that there is a "Users" controller probably with a default "Index" action, and a "Login" action. The problem I am facing is that the login action can be ignored and a "UrlParameter.Optional [ID]" can also be used. How exactly does this look in the RegisterRoutes collection? Or am I missing something totally obvious?   • Asp.Net (C#) MVC Routing - Trying avoid using the same controller in different places and think rout

    Hi Guys, I'm currently building a site which has a bunch of main categories and in each category you can perform a search. Basically, I want my addresses to work like this... When the website loads (as in when someone goes to www.mySite.com) it will redirect them to the default category. www.mySite.com/Category Then when you search within a category, the results would come up in a page like the following. www.mySite.com/Category/Search I want to put everything in one controller and have one main view for the Category and one for the Search, I would then render these based on which category is currently being viewed. Can this be done, maybe with routing? I don't want to have to create a different controller for each category as it's just duplicating a lot of the code. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I have a particular problem with subversion. Environment: subversion (1.6.12dfsg-6), apache2 (2.2.16-6+squeeze7) + mod dav_svn. I can't create a directory named "mysql" or "testmysql" or add and commit a file named "mysql.txt" in my repository. There are many references to "subversion PROPSET 403 forbidden" problems in google and so on. But I can use all functions of subversion. I can also create a directory named "hugo" or "test". My repository works properly. Only "mysql" doesn't work.   • Watchguard config, drop-in or mixed-routing mode?

    I have a Watchguard XTM 2 that is currently acting as a firewall and a router for my business network, I currently have the WG setup in mixed-routing mode and am happy with the current configuration. The reason I am curious about drop-in mode is because I would like to use all the interfaces on the back of the watchguard for the same subnet. My understanding is that drop-in mode will put them all on the same subnet, but it is unclear from the manual that the routing/firewall/vpn will still work as expected. This WG is right behind a DSL modem that is setup in bridge mode, so the WG is handling all PPPoE auth and routing for the network.

Now, when I add static route to route that outside interface IP through tunnel while tunnel is up, there would be no problem at all but if the tunnel is down for some reason, it cannot be re-established as the routing for the IPSec gateway IP which is the same as outside interface IP is set to go through tunnel which it needed to re-etablish at that time. So, packets won't hit that IP. I tried adding another routing entry which has metric 2 through other gateway but it did'nt succeeded. So, what type of routing should I configure to reach that IP when tunnel is down. Thanks in advance.

    Is there a way that I can prevent an entire subnet from using internal routing. The VPN server is supposed to be a way to access the company's intranet websites for some people, while for others it is supposed to do routing to the outside only and therefore not having access to any internal websites. The VPN server has a DNS on the actual server but not all should be using this DNS. Some of the users should be directly sent out of the server to the internet. Example: 10.0.0.1 is the DNS on the server, gateway for the VPN 10.0.0.2 is a user (A) on the VPN having access to the intranet websites (subnet is 10.0.0.0/25) 10.0.0.192 is a user (B) only needing routing and no access to intranet websites (subnet is 10.0.0.192/26) All traffic of user B should be directly rerouted out of the server. I have tried several iptables but without success.

  • Laptop connectd to 2 VPNs (1st for Internet over WiFi, 2nd to access shared folders on another network) is failing to route traffic over 2nd VPN

    I set up a VPN on Windows Server 2008 through its routing and remote access services. I connected to the VPN, and configured the client to allow for split tunneling (Internet traffic goes to my default gateway, and traffic directed to the VPN server goes through the VPN gateway). I had to adjust the routing table, adding an entry to ensure traffic to my VPN server goes through the tunnel by running the command "route add [VPN.IP] mask 255.255.255.255 [VPN.GATEWAY.IP] IF [VPN_INTERFACE_#]". Adding the correct route makes everything work flawlessly on all my machines, except for one. The problematic machine is a laptop that's not directly connected to a network. It connects to WiFi, and then connects to a VPN to obtain internet access. Finally, it connects to the target VPN server for file sharing. The "route add" trick doesn't work for that laptop, I'm assuming because it's connected to two VPNs, and I'm getting the routing wrong. Can anyone familiar with routing explain what routes I may need to add?

    Hi, I've an interesting problem with some routing with an ASP.NET MVC app. I'm building a CMS and I've got a catch-all handler that takes the URL and checks to see if there's some matching content in a database. If so, it displays it, otherwise we get a 404. Now I've got all that working with some test data, I moved on to write a quick admin system. I thought I'd use some of the new Area functionality baked into MVC 2, so I've created an area called Admin with a controller called Home. Now however I have a problem of the default HomeController in the Admin Area is being returned when requesting the application root path. The problem is that there is no other HomeController for the 'root' application (the one hosting all of the areas), instead the root would be redirected to the my catch-all handler and populated from the database. So now the controller factory is returning the best matching controller, which it thinks is the admin area one, what I really need is for it to not match it at all - as it did previously. Apart from renaming the Admin HomeController to something else, is there another solution?
