What amI missing - How is this possible in light of the fact that the response string is definitely formed as I would expect it to be?

For example, one of the pages looks like this: example.com/page.php?domain_name=example.com&viewpage=Gallery %26 News I'm thinking that the correct way to do an htaccess 301 redirect is to include something like this: Redirect 301 /page.php?domain_name=example.com&viewpage=Gallery%20%26%20News http://www.example.com/gallery/ where the new page is: example.com/gallery Is this correct?

Not only there is the basic album-level privacy setting to consider, but also what happens with Tagging (and related privacy settings) as well as the Share button when clicked by a Friend. Has anybody seen a good, engineering-type (e.g. UML) diagram?   Need some help figuring out how to best Store Passwords, User information/Profile data and Photo/Video albums for a social website? For photos/videos the actual photo/video + even encrypting the URL with the IDs to the photo/videos so other users cannot figure it out. Creating a site like myspace and designing retirement documents but i am unsure how to specify the security requirements for the database. Two things: 1) Protect from outside users 2) Protect all these from employees being able to access this info For #2, the additional question is: If we encrypt the user info and password so even the system admins cannot get in, how can we retrieve the user data tomorrow if someone flags the user's account as spam and admin needs to check it out or if law enforcement wants info on a user?   UPDATE I tried using the internal wordpress rewrite. What I have to do is an address like this: http://example.com/galleria/artist-name sent to the gallery.php page with a variable containing the artist-name. Any idea what could possibly cause this different behavior? Alternatively, any other way I couldn't think of which could achieve the same effect described in the first three lines is perfectly fine. Old question What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work?   (I'm just learning rails so....) I have a photo model and a gallery model, habtm associations and a join table. I'm making a photo gallery. The gallery page has a title field and description field. User creates gallery title, then goes to the photo page and checkboxes each image they want in that gallery.   Hello folks. I've been getting lots of answers from stackoverflow now that I'm in Django just be searching. Now I hope my question will also create some value for everybody. In choosing Django, I was hoping there was some similar mechanism to the way you can do partials in ROR. This was going to help me in two ways. One was in generating repeating indexed forms or form elements, and also in rendering only a piece of the page on the round trip. I've done a little bit of that by using taconite with a simple URL click but now I'm trying to get more advanced. This will focus on the form issue which boils down to how to iterate over a secondary object. If I have a list of photo instances, each of which has a couple of parameters, let's say a size and a quantity. I want to generate form elements for each photo instance separately. But then I have two lists I want to iterate on at the same time. Context: photos : Photo.objects.all() and forms = {} for photo in photos: forms[photo.id] = PhotoForm() In other words we've got a list of photo objects and a dict of forms based on the photo.id. Here's an abstraction of the template: {% for photo in photos %} {% include "photoview.html" %} {% comment %} So here I want to use the photo.id as an index to get the correct form. So that each photo has its own form. I would want to have a different action and each form field would be unique. Is that possible? How can I iterate on that?   Hello, To short version of this question is that I want to accomplish something along the lines of what's visible on Flickr's homepage once you're logged in. It shows the three latest photos of each of your friends sorted by date but grouped by friend. Here's a longer explanation: For example I have 3 friends: John, George and Andrea. The list I want to extract should look like this: George Photo - 2010-05-18 Photo - 2010-05-18 Photo - 2010-05-12 John Photo - 2010-05-17 Photo - 2010-05-14 Photo - 2010-05-12 Andrea Photo - 2010-05-15 Photo - 2010-05-15 Photo - 2010-05-15 Friend with most recent photo uploaded is on top but his or her 2 next files follow. I'd like to do this from MySQL, and for the time being I got here: SELECT photos.user_id, photos.id, photos.date_uploaded FROM photos WHERE photos.user_id IN (SELECT user2_id FROM user_relations WHERE user1_id = 8) ORDER BY date_uploaded DESC Where user1_id = 8 is the currently logged in user and user2_id are the ids of friends. This query indeed returns the latest files uploaded by the contacts of the user with id = 8 sorted by date. However I'd like to accomplish the grouping and limiting mentioned above. This is my code. What I'm doing wrong here? Changing entity properties works fine. When I change photo FileName for example it gets updated in DB and in user.Photos. var photo = SelectById(id); Context.DeleteObject(photo); Context.SaveChanges(); var user = GetUser(userName); // the photo I have just deleted is still in user.Photos also tried this but getting same results: var photo = user.Photos.First(); Context.DeleteObject(photo); Context.SaveChanges();

• [Concept] How does unlink() find the file to delete?

  My app has a 'Photo' field to store URL. It uses sfWidgetFormInputFileEditable for the widget schema. To delete the old image when a new image is uploaded, I use unlink before setting the value in the over-ridden setter and it works!!! if (file_exists($this->_get('photo'))) unlink($this->_get('photo')); Photos are stored in uploads/photos and when saving 'Photo' only the file name xxx-yyy.zzz is saved (and not the full path). However, I wish to know how symfony/php knows the full path of the file to be deleted? Part 2: I am using sfThumbnailPlugin to generate thumbnails. • Is there a way to tag MP3 the way you can do with Photos in Live Photo Gallery or Picazza?

  I really do love the way you can tag pictures in Windows Live Photo Gallery. I find it incredibly useful to be able to tag the same picture with the tag "Cancun" and have it been automatically included when I look for the tag "Beach", "Trips" and "Fun Pic", since its a child tag of the former and also has a tag for the later. I also like that I can look for rating in the pics. On the other side, tagging MP3 has always been a pain in the ass, because I just find it to hard to classify music! Is it pop? techno? techno-pop? rock? indie-rock? indie-post-classic-pop-techno? I hate how ID3 just have one tag for genre, so I've tried tricks like putting all the genres I think it fits into, and then having lists in Winamp (which I dont use anymore) that filter out words in the ID3 tags (ie, Tag: Genre, Contains: Rock = rock list). But then, what about moods? I want to be able to tag my songs in genres and in moods, you know, happy, concentrate/work, party, romantic (wink wink), etc. Is there any way to do this, preferably in a way in which tags could carry on to other music players? • How can I transfer photo's from my Kodak camera that normally would use KODAK EASYSHARE Software?

  Normally I would plug my camera into my Windows XP pc, and the software would auto start, and transfer the files to a set location. I need to be able to perform the same or similar function on my PC installed with Ubuntu 10.04 (LTS). I would like to plug the camera in (USB), and then be able to select the files I want. At the moment, the camera does not seem to recognise the PC. I do not want to rely on the Windows PC anymore.

  I am searching for software that can reconstruct the exact pixels from a photo of an old videogame or a piece pixel-art. The goal would be the re-digitalization of digital images that only survived in an analog copy, say images of Mario Paint that where captured on a VHS tape or old digital art that only survived as a printout. Does such software exist?

• How to use AVCaptureSession to stream live preview video, then take a photo, then return to streaming

  I have an application that creates its own live preview prior to taking a still photo. The app needs to run some processing on the image data and thus is not able to rely on AVCaptureVideoPreviewLayer. Getting the initial stream to work is going quite well, using Apple's example code. The problem comes when I try to switch to the higher quality image to take the snapshot. In response to a button press I attempt to reconfigure the session for taking a full resolution photo. I've tried many variations but here is my latest example (which still does not work): - (void)sessionSetupForPhoto { [session beginConfiguration]; session.sessionPreset = AVCaptureSessionPresetPhoto; AVCaptureStillImageOutput *output = [[[AVCaptureStillImageOutput alloc] init] autorelease]; for (AVCaptureOutput *output in [session outputs]) { [session removeOutput:output]; } if ([session canAddOutput:output]){ [session addOutput:output]; } else { NSLog(@"Not able to add an AVCaptureStillImageOutput"); } [session commitConfiguration]; } I am consistently getting an error message just after the commitConfiguration line that looks like this: (that is to say, I am getting an AVCaptureSessionRuntimeErrorNotification sent to my registered observer) Received an error: NSConcreteNotification 0x19d870 {name = AVCaptureSessionRuntimeErrorNotification; object = ; userInfo = { AVCaptureSessionErrorKey = "Error Domain=AVFoundationErrorDomain Code=-11800 \"The operation couldn\U2019t be completed. (AVFoundationErrorDomain error -11800.)\" UserInfo=0x19d810 {}"; The documentation in XCode ostensibly provides more information for the error number (-11800), "AVErrorUnknown - Reason for the error is unknown."; Previously I had also tried calls to stopRunning and startRunning, but no longer do that after watching WWDC Session 409, where it is discouraged. When I was stopping and starting, I was getting a different error message -11819, which corresponds to "AVErrorMediaServicesWereReset - The operation could not be completed because media services became unavailable.", which is much nicer than simply "unknown", but not necessarily any more helpful. It successfully adds the AVCaptureStillImageOutput (i.e., does NOT emit the log message). I am testing on an iPhone 3g (w/4.1) and iPhone 4. This call is happening in the main thread, which is also where my original AVCaptureSession setup took place. How can I avoid the error? How can I switch to the higher resolution to take the photo? • Any picture Gallery Control for .NET 1.1 in WinForms?

  I need a UserControl to display pictures as a Gallery in Winforms. I have my pictures as a Image Collection but no problem to change to fit Control capabilities. It could be nice if it is for .NET 1.1 but since I'm planning to migrate all our code to 2.0 if the control is in that framework it could be useful in the future If it is free much better :) Does any of you know a control like this? Thanks!
