  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 1 layout problems

    I'm having trouble running my app on the Galaxy tab original 7". It appears to make everything 1.5 times bigger, i.e. if I specify 40dip for a textSize in my layout, it will display as 60 dip when I run it on the tablet. I tried messing around with the display metrics and changing the density and densityDpi to 1. (When I run a toString of the display metrics in the Galaxy tab 2, they are both 1, whereas the Galaxy tab 1 has values of 1.5) The app runs very well on every phone I've tested it on, and on the Galaxy tab 2, so I can't figure out what the problem is. I even tried creating a dummy app with just a textView with a size of 40dip, and it still converted it to 60. Any ideas? Thanks.

    My winform app have two tab and multi thread, one is main tab and other is log tab. I only use log tab to show logs in a datagridview control.   • IPhone iOs 5, need help getting my tab bar at the top to work

    I wanted to have the tab bar at the top. So i created a new project in XCode. Added a view and then inside that view i added (scrollbar, text and another view). See picture. What i wanted was to have my tab bar at the top. Then in the middle would be the contents from the tab bar and below it a small copyright text. See picture. No idea how to make this correctly. I have tried to create the UITabBarController on the fly and then assign it into the view at the top. (Top white space on the picture dedicated for the tab bar).   • Load all tab bar views when application first runs

    Here's the problem. I have a tab bar controller with 4 separate views. When I navigate from the first view to the second view, it takes some time to load up the second view. What I want to do is be able to load and initialize all of my tab bar views during my splash screen. That way, when the user navigates between the tab views, there is no wait time. So the question is... how do I manually initialize my individual tab bar views in my app delegate? And once again, thank you stackoverflow!

    Hi, I have a layout which requires a tab widget containing two tabs. Ideally I'd like to have each tab just be a completely flat colored rectangle, side by side. Almost exactly like the buttons you see at the top of this web page titled: "Questions" | "Tags" | "Users" | "Badges" | "Unanswered" but without the whitespace in between. I'd like to have the highlighted tab have a brighter background color. Is this possible using the tab widget? I know in 1.6+ there's a method to specify a view for the tabs themselves, but can I achieve this tight look, or should I just roll my own? Thanks

I have tried to use the WebBrowser control to open the new tab as well as tried to use the Script manager however I have not been able to open the new tab.     Hi! I'm a relative newbie on iPhone app development but have successfully created a tab bar app with 4 tab bar items. I would like to have a one-off registration page for users to key-in information when they open the application for the first time. The registration page should load before the view with the selection of tab bar items loads. What is the best way to do this? Also, how do I load a UIView or UIWebView before the tab bar items load?     I have a TabActivity with three tabs defined. The first tab is light-weight and renders in acceptable time. But the 2nd and 3rd tab, does need a couple of seconds to get visually rendered, after I click them. I would like to launch them, after I've loaded my first tab, in background for pre-cache. Once they are loaded, I can switch quickly between them. So I am wondering how can I launch the 2nd and 3rd tab. They are intents loaded in the view area.

  • Vim snippets pop-up but don't complete

    I'm using spf13-vim in Fedora. When I try to use a snippet, I get options that pop up but when I don't know how to actually insert the snippet. For example, if I type for in a .cpp file, I get four options. I'm assuming I'm supposed to either hit tab or enter to insert them but neither works. I'm not even sure which vim plugin it is that the snippets come from (snipmate? neocomplcache?).Screenshot. The same problem happens in vim and gvim.

    I've implemented a search box that searches the "Illnesses" table and the "symptoms" table in my DB. Now I want to add auto-complete to the search box. I've created a new controller called "auto_complete_controller" which returns the auto complete data. I'm just not sure how to combine the search functionality and the auto complete functionality: I want the "index" action in my search controller to return the search results, and the "index" action in my auto_complete controller to return the auto_complete data. Please guide me how to fix my html syntax and what to write in the js.coffee file.     Is there a way to stop the gmail address field (on the login page) from displaying all the gmail addresses that you have ever typed in it? When logging in with Google Chrome or trying to set up a new account, anything you type which starts with the same letter as the one that you are trying to use currently will show up in the auto-complete field, I don't want that. I understand that this is a convenient feature in some cases, but the thing is--I know this shouldn't've happened, but it has actually happened more than once--I sometimes mistyped my password in the Gmail address field right after the address, mistakingly assuming that the prompt had already been moved to the password field, and then hit "Enter" without looking first. The next time I tried to enter my Gmail address, it popped up the address followed by my password as one of the entries on the list of email addresses that shows up, and I couldn't get rid of the entry. Is there a way to remove these?

  • Access Denied on a Drive where All Users list have been deleted in Security Tab

    Hi All, (System is Windows 7 x64) I wanted to restrict access of other people in a certain drive of my computer (Harddisk 1 is partitioned to C & D; I want to restrict Drive D). What I did was go to the Security Tab (under Drive Properties) and remove the All Users entry. My account is an administrator account. I left only Systems and Administrator on the list. However, when I tried to access drive D, I got an Access Denied error, and Security Tab is already missing. I tried to edit Local Group Policy; it does not work. Take Ownership is not available for the Drive as well, but I see it enabled if I select files / folders. Please help. Thanks. Also, I am wondering why, as an Administrator, have my access to that drive denied.

    I am doing ssh -t host screen -D -RR in OS X (10.9) terminal tabs. My ~/.screenrc is identical on all remote hosts and contain the following line: hardstatus string "%H(%n:%t)$USER %h" My ~/.bashrc is also identical on all hosts. When I login to host host_u (Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS) running Screen version 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06, the tab title on the OS X terminal is host_u(1:bash)sds ~, as expected. When I login to host host_c (CentOS release 6.3 (Final)) running Screen version 4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06, the tab title on the OS X terminal is ~/FooBar (which is the local OS X directory from which I ran the ssh/screen command. Problem: the hardstatus line does not work on host_c.

  • How to find which tab a particular Chrome process refers to

    I often have 6 or 7 separate Chrome windows open, often with 5-10 tabs in each. When I look at Windows Task Manager, I see each chrome.exe process, with some using a large amount of memory. How can I find which particular tab the process refers to? I want to know which one uses the most memory and close that tab instead of having to close every Chrome window. Is there any way to get this information? This is on Windows Vista, but it is the same on other versions of Windows as well.
