• multicolumn sorting of WinForms DataGridView

  I have a DataGridView in a windows form with 3 columns: Serial number, Name, and Date-Time. The Name column will always have either of the two values: "name1" or "name2". I need to sort these columns such that the grid displays all the rows with name values in a specific order (first display all the "name1" rows and then all the "name2" rows). Within the "name1" rows, I want the rows to be sorted by the Date-Time. Please note programmatically, all the 3 columns are strings. For example, if I have the rows: 01 |Name1 | 2010-05-05 10:00 PM 02 |Name2 | 2010-05-02 08:00 AM 03 |Name2 | 2010-05-01 08:00 AM 04 |Name1 | 2010-05-01 11:00 AM 05 |Name1 | 2010-05-04 07:00 AM needs to be sorted as 04 |Name1 | 2010-05-01 11:00 AM 05 |Name1 | 2010-05-04 07:00 AM 01 |Name1 | 2010-05-05 10:00 PM 03 |Name2 | 2010-05-01 08:00 AM 02 |Name2 | 2010-05-02 08:00 AM I am not sure how to go about using the below: myGrid.Sort(.....,ListSortDirection.Ascending)

  Hello, How to specify the format string to convert the date alone from string. In my case, only the date part is relevant Constructing it as DateTime fails String dateString = "2009-04-17"; DateTimeFormatter formatter = DateTimeFormat.forPattern("yyyy-MM-dd"); DateTime dateTime = formatter.parseDateTime(dateString); with error java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid format: "2011-04-17" is too short Probably because I should use LocalTime instead. But, I do not see any formatter for LocalTime . What is the best way to convert String dateString = "2009-04-17"; into LocalDate (or something else if that is not the right representation) thanks...

I have seen free apps on mobile phones that can do this and list the exact product name along with price comparison. • Database per application VS One big database for all applications

  Hello, I'm designing a few applications that will share 2 or 3 database tables and all of the other tables will be independent of each app. The shared databases contain mostly user information, and there might occur the case where other tables need to be shared, but that's my instinct speaking. I'm leaning over the one database for all applications solution because I want to have referential integrity, and I won't have to keep the same information up to date in each of the databases, but I'm probably going to end with a database of 100+ tables where only groups of ten tables will have related information. The database per application approach helps me keep everything more organized, but I don't know a way to keep the related tables in all databases up to date.   Hi all, I am running a simple DATEDIFF query but it doesn't seem to calculate the days properly or i'm doing something wrong. If I run PRINT DATEDIFF(Day, 2010-01-20, 2010-01-01) RETURN 19 Which is correct. If i change the month in the first date to Feb (02) I get something strange. PRINT DATEDIFF(Day, 2010-02-20, 2010-01-01) RETURN 20 Now shouldn't it be 48 or something? Can anyone see what i'm doing wrong or is this not the correct function to be using if I want the No of days between these dates? I've tried taking one date from the other: PRINT (2010-02-20) - (2010-01-01) RETURN -20 Any help much appreciated. Thanks J.

• jQuery datepicker onSelect set multiple row values

  On the select event of the datepicker I need to add and set values in multiple rows. In other words, I have something like this... Days Value Row 1 1 Row 2 2 Row 3 3 I have the "Days" and "Value" columns as textboxes. When I select a date from the datepicker I need to add the "Days" value for each row to the date selected. That value is what goes into the "Value" column. Example, I select 4/20/2010. The value in each respective row would then be 4/21/2010, 4/22/2010, 4/23/2010. Hopefully this makes sense and thank you for the help in advance.

From my own experience, I found the load time of a complex page about twice as long in Qt’s “Fancy Browser” example as it does in Google Chrome (which also incorporates a port of Webkit), but I hardly think that is a fair comparison. • What text editors support vertical rulers?

  I'm looking for a feature somewhat like the vertical red 80 columns marker in NetBeans but one that's easier to use. I'd like it to function more like the tabs in MS Word except that the horizontal line is displayed on the entire file. I looked on the Comparison of Text Editors over at Wikipedia and I didn't find that "vertical ruler" was one of their features. It would be used to line up html tags in a massive file that I did not create, but have to maintain.

• Any way to view dynamic java content ex-post? Browser session still open

  I feel like a grandpa from 1996 asking this, but is it at all possible to view a representation of a particular screen that was rendered as part of a java-based online checkout process I executed a couple days ago? I haven't cleared my browser cache or temp files or anything, and I don't think I've restarted the comp or even the browser since. I'm using mac OS X 10.6.8, and the page(s) were viewed with Chrome version 21.0.1180.89 in standard mode (not incognito). Specifically the page in question was part of Verizon Wireless's 'iconic' contract/checkout process, which leads the user through several pages to make selections on various criteria and seems to be based on java. (Obviously I'm a dummy regarding web stuff so the question is probably not very well defined, I'm happy to elaborate). ^This is the tl;dr question. If it belongs on another site please just let me know. Of course, clicking the link to the page in History right now requires a new sign-in and just returns the user to the initial step for doing the process again; it does not pull up a representation of the page as it was seen several days ago. This I understand. Instead using Chrome's integrated cache viewer by typing about:cache in the address bar, I can search and find links that appear to be relevant, when I click on the link I just get a http header and a bunch of hexadecimal gobbledygook. I've tried to use the URL at the top of the cache and URLs in the http headers, but they take me to current versions of those pages and not the versions I saw during the checkout process. I tried this with a few of them but stopped because I noticed that it updated the date in the http header to the present moment and I don't want to take chances overwriting the cache files since I don't know what I'm doing. (It's clear I can't achieve what I'm looking for by visiting current versions of these pages on the web…I should actually probably disable my network adapter while testing this out). The cache folder seems promising, but I don't know what to make of all that hexadecimal mess - if it contains what I'm looking for and if so, how to view it. Finally, the third thing I've come across is the Google Chrome cache folder on my local machine, at ~/Library/Caches/Google/Chrome/ then there are 'Default' and 'Media Cache' folders within. There are ~4,000 files in the former averaging ~100kb each, and 100 files in the latter averaging ~900kb each. The filenames all start "f_00xxxx" except for files titled data_0 through data_4 in each folder. I'm not sure how to observe the contents of these files and don't really want to start opening them up and potentially overwriting existing cached pages, as I notice there are already some holes in the arrangement of the files which I have never deleted manually. Hopefully this is an easy question to answer for someone who knows this stuff, admittedly web stuff is my weak point. As such, I've spent the past five hours searching around and trying to provide all the information I can. I'm probably asking for a miracle - like can those cached pages full of hexadecimal data be used to recreate the representation of the information that was on screen during the process? Or could screenshots of the previously viewed webpages be lurking in the /Caches folder? I have doubt because the content wasn't viewed at a permanent link, rather it seems like the on-screen information was served by Verizon's db, and probably securely so. I'm just not sure if Chrome saves the visual rendering of the page contents somewhere, even just temporarily. Alternatively I would be happy just to get the raw data that was on the page, even if not a visual representation…I just need to be able to demonstrate the phone line that was referenced on this page: https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/iconic/secured/screens/IconicFeatures.do . Can anyone point me in the right direction?
