• PackageMaker metapackage with SIMBL 0.9.x?

  I'm trying to create an installer using Apple's PackageMaker.app. As part of the installation, I want to install SIMBL with the metapackage mechanism provided by PackageMaker. However, when I add the SIMBL .pkg file and try to build my own package, I get the warning "No payload could be found. The package will not be built." for the SIMBL package reference. The same worked for an older version of SIMBL (0.8.*).

  Hi I'm building C++ app with CMake. But it uses some source files in C. Here is simplified structure: trunk/CMakeLists.txt: project(myapp) set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS "${CMAKE_C_FLAGS} -g -Wall") add_subdirectory (src myapp) trunk/src/main.cpp: #include "smth/f.h" int main() { f(); } trunk/src/CMakeLists.txt: add_subdirectory (smth) link_directories (smth) set(APP_SRC main) add_executable (myapp ${APP_SRC}) target_link_libraries (myapp smth) trunk/src/smth/f.h: #ifndef F_H #define F_H void f(); #endif trunk/src/smth/f.c: #include "f.h" void f() {} trunk/src/smth/CMakeLists.txt set (SMTH_SRC some_cpp_file1 some_cpp_file2 f) add_library (smth STATIC ${SMTH_SRC}) The problem is: i run gmake, it compiles all the files and when it links all libs together, i get: undefined reference to `f()` in main.cpp if i rename f.c into f.cpp everything goes just fine. What's the difference and how to handle it? Thanks

• Static Map API that supports HTTPS requests and is free

  Any options out there? Google Static Maps with SSL (HTTPS) is only available to Premier members. Bing's Open Map API seems to have the same restricts. Any other ideas? I'm debating whether to schedule a cronjob to wget over http and dump the images I need into a folder (named after the content object IDs that reference them), but I'd rather find a free map API (or something less klugey) that supports HTTPS requests.

  Hi, I'm currently using the apalike style for my bibliography, using natbib for author-year, however when I generate the bibliography I lose the labels that normally precede the reference, i.e. [S. Rostami, 2010] Shahin Rostami (2010) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask etc etc.. I read apalike.bst and it seems this is intended, my quesiton is, how do I get them back? Something I can include in the preamble? Otherwise is there a similar style that shows labels?

• I have 5 links that open the same modalpopup?

  I have 5 links that are on the same form but I would like them all to reference the same AJAX modalpopup extender. I am basically showing a panel with the same view layout with just different data depending on which link is pressed, showing different match scores from games. The only way I can get it to work is have 5 panels with unique names and each link references its own panel. Can I get all the links to call one panel? Thanks

Will something like : dojo.connect(titlePane.titleNode, 'onmouseover', function f() {}); work, where titlePane is a reference to some dijit.TitlePane object? I installed acts-as-commentable-with-threading ( GitHub ), i made and ran the migration like the install instructions said. I have added acts_as_commentable to my Posts model and i have a Comments controller When i add @comment = Comment.build_from(params[:id],1, params[:body] ) I get the error. undefined method `build_from' for # Clearly i am doing something terribly wrong, and i don't really get the example. What should i be feeding to build_from? Can somebody explain this plugin step by step? :) Or is there an easier way to get simple threaded comments?

  In Java, updating double and long variable may not be atomic, as double/long are being treated as two separate 32 bits variables. http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jls/second_edition/html/memory.doc.html#28733 In C++, if I am using 32 bit Intel Processor + Microsoft Visual C++ compiler, is updating double (8 byte) operation atomic? I cannot find much specification mention on this behavior. When I say "atomic variable", here is what I mean : Thread A trying to write 1 to variable x. Thread B trying to write 2 to variable x. We shall get value 1 or 2 out from variable x, but not an undefined value.

• Rails 3, changing a specific value in a row

  Hey Guys, This question seems ridiculously easy, but I seem to be stuck. Lets say we have a table "Books" Each Book, has a name, description, and a status. Lets say I want to create link in the show view, that when clicked, solely changes the status (to "read") for example. So far, I've tried adding a block in the controller, that says: def read @book = Book.find(params[:id]) @book.status = "Read" @book.update_attributes(params[:book]) respond_to do |format| format.html { redirect_to :back} format.xml { render :xml => @book } end end Then I've added a link to the view that is like: <%= link_to "Read", read_book_path(@book), :method = :put % This isn't working at all. • Ajax Enabled WCF Service Javascript issue...

  I'm a noob working with Ajax-Enabled WCF Services... Right now I have an AJAX service which calls a different WCF service that is using wsHttpBinding. The WCF wsHttpBinding service lives in a different web app on the same IIS6 server. The AJAX javascript proxy is only created when I enable anonymous access on the app hosting the AJAX service. If I remove anonymous access, IE6 bombs with an 'Undefined' error when call the AJAX proxy. In a nut shell, my AJAX service sends a request back to IIS (same domain/app), and while on the server it sends a WCF service request for data on a different app on the same IIS server. The service returning data is setup with Windows authentication, wsHttpBinding, and security mode is set to message. Any ideas? Both apps have are using windows authentication.

  I am using tomcat 6 with JavaBridge. I have stored my php script in the following location. C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\project\test.php In test.php I am using curl and mysql. The php.ini in JavaBridge is stored in the following location C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\WEB-INF\cgi\php.ini and its contents are - extension_dir="C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\ext" include_path="C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\WEB-INF\pear;." there is also a config file called mysql.ini whose contents are - extension = php_mysql.dll I had also installed wamp earlier so I copied all the dll's from C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0\ext to C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows\ext When I start tomcat and run my script I get the following error - Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_connect() in C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\project\test.php on line 534 Please help.

• unable to select correct ADODB version COM API

  quick question is the public key token for ADODB dll different for 64bit and 32bit. I am trying to use a COM api which uses ADODB.Recordset and some how I am not able select the right version of ADODB in VS(2010) it asks for 2.8.0.0 and I add 2.8 from the reference dialog.
