    Hi, I received this spam in my catch-all. As a webmaster of the domain it was sent to, I am really curious what the reason for this mail is. It was sent to a non-existent user "tania" on my domain - here I used mydomain.zzz - what do the sender want to achieve? Since many mail servers have stopped backscattering, not getting a bounce would not mean anything, would it? And if this is off topic, where inb the StackExchange WOULD it be on topic? I know I could connect to it from a different machine which has a graphical user interface, but in this case I would rather do it on the box.     I have a rather annoying format I need to implement. There are 2 cells, both containing a date (cell A and B). B contains a date (24-06-2011). Cell B should be colored if cell A is between a date range, based on cell B. So if cell A lies between cell B - 7 days and cell B - 11 days, then it should be triggered. So with numbers: If B is 24-06-2011 then the range (which is not in any cell in the spreadsheet) is 13-06-2011 until 17-06-2011. If the date in cell A (let's say 14-06-2011) is in that range, cell B should be colored. Any ideas?

First a bit of background: APIs on EnvDTE (DTE for short, since that’s the entry point service you request from the environment) was originally an API intended to be used by macros. It’s also called the automation API. Most of the time, this is a simplified API that is easier to work with, but which doesn’t expose 100% of what VS is capable of doing. It’s also kind of the “rookie” way of doing VS extensibility (VSX for short), since most hardcore VSX devs sooner or later realize that they need to make the leap to the “serious” APIs.     I installed Maya 2011 on Ubuntu 10.04 many times and it was always working, Recently i upgraded my Ubuntu from 10.04 to 11.04, and when i tried to install Maya 2011 on it i wasn’t able to get it working. After installing Maya 2011 on Ubuntu 11.04 i try to run Maya from the terminal and this is what i get : error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. Please help. Note : Maya is a 3d software.

  • MS Access antiquated? Anything new in 2011?

    Our company has a database of 17,000 entries. We have used MS Access for over 10 years for our various mailings. Is there something new and better out there? I'm not a techie, so keep in mind when answering. Our problems with Access are: -no record of what was deleted, -will not turn up a name in a search if cap's or punctuation is not entered exactly, -is complicated for us to understand the de-duping process. - We'd like a more nimble program that we can access from more than one dedicated computer.

    Ive been trying to learn asp.net from reading "beginning asp.net 4 with c#" and been finding it hard to get a solid grasp on the code involved. I plan to go to tafe sometime next year to get my diploma but want to start myself. instead of learning asp.net as a whole and all the languages involved such as c#, html css and javascript etc etc. I'm starting to think a solid understanding of at lest one of these might be beneficial I have "Beginning C# Object-Oriented Programming - Clark - Apress, is it worth learning about the languages before I go head first into a ide?.

    I built simple 3D model of a car, with simple animation in which it's wheels are turning. Now i want to create a sprite sheet, the only way i know how to do it, is to render manually 20 frames from the from, then combine them to a strip manually, then rotate it by 10 degrees, render 20 frames of animation again and combine them to a strip... Is there a way to do it automatically ? With out rotating the scene manually and render it and combining .. it's a lot of work, takes more time then the modelling itself... Thanks
