  • Optimal pixel format for drawing on iPhone?

    Pretty simple question: when doing some pretty intense drawing with CoreGraphics on the iPhone, how can I specify the pixel format to get optimal performance? Is the format that I get from the context via UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext per definition the best one? I know that RGB565 is supposed to be the fastest to use in OpenGL. Does that go for CoreGraphics as well? General advice?

  • Unidirectional synchronization and admin back-end

    I have Wordpress installation on two web nodes (load balancing/failover). There is unidirectional synchronization from server A to server B so any updates must occur on the first web node. I have a problem with Wordpress admin side. I'm using Nginx and the initial plan was to create rewrite rule from domain.com/wp-admin to wpadmin.domain.com - pointing to the first node. The problem is that the Wordpress installation can be access only via main domain and without extra subdomain there is no distinction between both web servers for the rewrite rule. Could you please advise if there is any other solution in this case. Regards

  • Spring/Eclipse 'referenced bean not found' warning when using <import>?

    I have just broken up a Spring bean configuration file into smaller external files and have used the the "import" directive to include them in my Spring Test application context XML file. But whenever I reference one of the beans from the imported files I get a warning within Eclipse/STS/Spring XML editor complaining that "referenced bean 'foo' not found" Is this is a bug or is it me? It's really annoying because I don't want to disable the warning, yet at my company we try to eliminate all warnings.

I use a ServletContext to load some resources, so I have: @Context private ServletContext servletContext; If I deploy this on Glassfish, the ServletContext is injected and it works like expected. But I don't know how to inject the ServletContext in my service class, so that I can test it with a JUnit test. I use Spring 3.0, JUnit 4, CXF 2.2.3 and Maven.

  • VMWare Converter recommendations

    I have two Ghost 14 backups of my machine. One for the machine fully configured with apps after and XP install and one of the last update before i re-imaged it (it's XP, I re-image about once every six months). I recently wanted to try simply using my initial image in a virtual environment to do my testing that generally causes me to need to re-image. I used the VMWare converter to convert the Ghost images to a virtual machine to use in Virtual box but they fail to properly boot. They get stuck after the bios loads and windows begins loading. If I power down the machine and refire it it will go to the error screen in windows that asks if you would like to boot to a different mode. none selected make any difference. What are some possible errors I should look for in the conversion process or in my settings for the converter?

  • Terminal Server 2008 - Slow File open dialog in Office 2003

    I have yet another small issue that annoys me everyday in our Terminal Server environment. It seems when logging into Terminal Server users report the initial File | Open or File | Save As from within an application such as Word, Excel (2003 edition) is very slow to display the actual dialog box. The dialog appears quickly but it is whited out (sometimes displays not responding in title bar) and unresponsive, it then sits like this for about 20-30 secs before popping into life and displaying all the folders etc. The second time you go to save or open a file it loads almost instantly. Any suggestions or similar problems out there?

  • Can I directly open an MMF Cash Drawer through RJ-11 port?

    My aunt bought this cash drawer at an auction recently and has tasked me with figuring how to open it via a computer. We have the key (pictured) and can open it manually, but I'd like to be able to plug it directly into a computer and open it via some sort of program or script. It has a built in rj-11 cord coming out of the back of it. Initial research shows that it might usually be used with a printer, but I want to be able to connect it directly to the computer.   • SubSonic template with MySQL

    When I run the custom tool to create the cs files for SubSonic all the templates now inject a letter g to the top of the cs files. To get this to compile I need to remove the g from the ActiveRecord.cs, Struts.cs, Context.cs and StoredProcedures.cs. Anyone else run into this? I am using MySQL.

  • inetmgr missing after vista iis7 install

    I have installed IIS7 on Vista with all options from Programs and Features->Turn on/off windows features. I have searched for inetmgr accross the whole system with no luck. It is also not present in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv. The IIS Admin Service is shown as running in the list of all services. Might anyone know what the problem is? My initial problem before this was that after installing IIS and trying to view any arbitrary page via localhost/*filename*, i recieved the error HTTP Error 404.4 - Not Found The resource you are looking for does not have a handler associated with it.

  • Does control return after "execvp()"

    "execvp()" replaces the current program with the to-be-execed program (of course in the same process context). So, putting, say, any printf() calls after execvp() won't work. That is what the docs say, and I have verified it as well. But then, why is _exit() needed..? Does it so happen that the control DOES return to statements post execvp() ? I will be grateful for any pointers. Thanks

    Hi All, I know that there is the PyObjC bridge is OSX and what I want to do is to put a python application/script in the rightclick context menu of OS X. there is the OnMyCommand plugin but I dont think that supports python. I've had a look at how to do it in Carbon/ Objective-C and i'll admit it im a wuss and am just not smart enough yet to grok how to do it (I aint even close to groking it actually.)   • UINavigation Bar while moving view for writing in a textfield

    i'm using this code to move the view when i'm about to type on a textfield, otherwise the keyboard may cover the textfield if it's in the lower side of the screen. I would like to know if there is a way to maintain the UINavigation Bar in it's place, because with this code the bar will move with all the view outside the screen, becoming untouchable until i end editing the textfield (closing the keyboard). It was obvious because a size of the bitmap image was ~4mb! In order to increase the performance, instead of creating the bitmap I use Drawable (with the yellow tape strip) and set the tile mode to REPEAT: setTileModeX(TileMode.REPEAT); The view now is very light but I cannot figure out how to add numbers. There are too many of them to redraw them each time the onDraw method is called. Is there any way that I can draw these numbers on canvas and then save that canvas so it can be reused in onDraw() method?
