• VC++ - Asynchronous Thread

  I am working on VC++ project, in that my application process a file from input path and generates 3 output "*.DAT" files in the destination path. I will FTP these DAT file to the destination server. After FTP, I need to delete only two output .DAT files the folder. I am able to delete those files, because there one Asynchronous thread running behind the process. Since the thread is running, while deleting it says, "Cannot delete, the file is used by another person". I need to stop that thread and delete the files. Multiple files can also be taken from the input path to process. Please help me in resolving this issue. Its very high priority issue for me. Please help me ASAP.

• My store returns no code id and breaks 404 error. Magento

  I know what the issue is but I dont know how to fix it. I just migrated my magento store locally and I guess possibly some data may have been lost when transferring the DB. the DB is very large. Anyhow, when I login to my admin page, I get a 404 error, page was not found. I debugged the issue and got down to the wire. The exception is thrown in Mage/Core/Model/App.php. Line 759 to be exacted. The following is a snippet. Mage/Core/Model/App.php if (empty($this->_stores[$id])) { $store = Mage::getModel('core/store'); /* @var $store Mage_Core_Model_Store */ if (is_numeric($id)) { $store->load($id); // THIS ID IS FROM Mage_Core_Model_App::ADMIN_STORE_ID and its empty which causes the error } elseif (is_string($id)) { $store->load($id, 'code'); } if (!$store->getCode()) { // RETURNS FALSE HERE BECAUSE NO ID Specified $this->throwStoreException(); } $this->_stores[$store->getStoreId()] = $store; $this->_stores[$store->getCode()] = $store; } The store returns null because $id is null so it therefore does not load any model which explains why it returns false when calling getCode() [EDIT] If you want clarification, please ask for more before voting my post down. Remember I am still trying to get help not get neglected. I am using Version 1.4.1.1. When I type in the URL for admin, I get a 404 page. I walked through the code thouroughly and found that the Model MAGE_CORE_MODEL_STORE::getCode(); Returns Null which triggers the exception. and ends the script. I do not have any other detail. I further troubleshooted the issue by checking the database and that is what the screen shot is. Showing that there is infact data in the Code Colunn. So my question is why is the Model returning a empty column when the column clearly has a value. What can I do to further troubleshoot and figure out why its not working [EDIT UPDATE NEW] I did some research. the reason its returning NULL is because the store ID is null being passed Mage::getStoreConfigFlag('web/secure/use_in_adminhtml', Mage_Core_Model_App::ADMIN_STORE_ID); // THIS IS THE ID being specified Mage_Core_Model_App::ADMIN_STORE_ID has no value in it, so this method throws the exception. Not sure why how to fix this.

• Question about software that tracks divs better than notepad++

  I recently got hired as a web developer, and the project that I am overseeing has a formatting issue on one of the pages because one of the divs is out of whack. It is a fairly complex page with quite a bit of php, and from what I can gather, I am missing a </div> tag somewhere, and accordingly everything is messed up. I am currently using notepad++, which is decent at lining up divs, meaning that if you click on the opening div tag, it will highlight purple and also highlight the closing one. But it seems as though if you have div tags that span several lines (hundreds) it won't work. Has anyone else run into a similar situation? Is there a better editor I could be using that would do a better job of helping me with my div issue? Or do I have to go through and line up the divs 1 by 1? (there are like over 100). • Upload Image to Facebook Objective-C

  I'm currently trying to upload an image from my Mac application to Facebook. To do this, I'd like for the user to simply input his username and password, and to click a button. The only issue is, Facebook doesn't actually have an API for the Mac, it only has one for iOS. This shouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that to login, you must use a web view, something I'm not to keen on doing, since I'd like the interface to be two simple text fields. I've also looked into PHFacebook, a class I found online, but it also seems to utilize an NSWebView. I'm wondering if there's a security issue when you use text fields; indeed, it's slightly strange no available API offers this function ! So, to conclude, is it possible, or is there an API, that lets you upload an image and lets you provide the user's credentials through simple NSStrings?

• Silverlight client load operation failed for query "Login". [GenericParameterNotValid]

  I have one user who gets the following error when trying to login, "Silverlight client load operation failed for query "Login". [GenericParameterNotValid]". The odd thing is that other users are able to login without issue and I can login using the "problem" account from other machines. At this point I think it's got to be a client side configuration issue. My next step is to confirm the Client Side Silverlight Version, but I don't know where to go after that. Do you have any suggestions?

• Do you have references issues with Visual Studio 2008 and C#.Net?

  I'm working on a project and it seems that every time someone checks out the project from source control to build it on their local box they have issues building because references are no longer resolved. I can't figure out if it's a configuration issues or a Visual Studio 2008 issue. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is there something you can do to fix this issue? Note: it might have something to do with explicit paths to the DLLs being referenced or how they are referenced ... I'm not quite sure.

  I am trying to implement a regular expression to allow only one or two digits after a hyphen '-' and it doesn't work properly. • Steps to take for figuring out the delay when calling service and loading data with the result?

  Hello, In a client server app, where client front end is done in silverlight using C# and the services are the WCF services. If I am to hit the service and do a query and bring back a result and I notice that it is taking a relatively long time to load my page which is just loading the grid with the data, what things should I look at fix this issue or how would I fix this issue? What steps could I take to determine the problem? where is the bottle-neck, can anyone know from the little information provided here? Does this have anything to do with serialization? Any insight on what could be causing this delay? My service calls are made async. I hope this question makes sense :) Thanks

• best practice for Jquery plugin implementation and resource locations

  This is probably a very basic question, but I seem to have issues plugging in jquery plug-ins. The issue seems to be around the location of the script, css and images and ensuring the css has the correct url to the images. The standard plug-in has the following folder structure (eg : JPicker) js css images My project is asp.net mvc so I have the default: scripts images content So, I try to split the jquery plugin to the appropriate folders (not sure if this is the best way?). Then I try to correct the references to images (background urls) in the css. I believe the url is relative to the page that is implementing the css file, not the location of the css file itself. Anyway, when I try the above, the plugins don't seem to work. I believe the issue lies with the images not being found. The jquery code runs without errors, so I assume that's not the problem. Any help/advice much appreciated

  I am trying to implement sync adaptor, I have followed This guide. But onPerformSync() is not triggered after ContentResolver.requestSync() call . I have also tried some other tutorials and tried to run their code, but still same issue. Please tell me does I need to do some extra configuration for this. • Outlook AppointmentItem Write Event - how many times does it execute

  I need to perform some activity when an appointmentitem (or specifically a meeting) is saved. What I want is once the user has filled in the info and clicks 'send', Outlook does it's stuff and my code executes once. However what I'm finding, is that the Write event occurs multiple times - at least twice, sometimes more (eg in updates). Where this is an issue for me, is that I have an object that needs to be updated before it's serialized, and I don't want to be doing the update and serialization multiple times. Has anyone come across this issue, before and is there a better way to do this to use than appointmentitem.write?

  I've been searching google a lot for this issue and really found nothing. People just keep copying MySQL documentation on last_insert_id and nothing else. I've got an issue regarding last_insert_id, because for both situations (php & sql) it returns 0. YES: I've set a PRIMARY & UNIQUE field with AUTO_INCREMENT value YES: i've done some inserting before NO: Making double query with INSERT AND SELECT LAST... doesn't work. • How to compare 2 pdf files using command line or any tool

  I have to compare 2 pdf files and check if they are same or different. I have tried my luck with WinMerge and Beyond compare. however they dont solve my issue. The issue is that there are 2 files which are exactly same except for the time in which they were saved. I have a piece of code that embeds the time of saving into the file. but i am not supposed to do any modifications to the code I have. Hence the above mentioned tools will say that the files dont match and There is just one difference, that is timestamp. Can anyone suggest me a way to handle this. Please. Thanks

• Using php to create a password system with chinese characters

  Hi guys, I'm having an issue with validating chinese characters against other chinese characters, for example I'm creating a simple password script which gets data from a database, and gets the user input through get. The issue I'm having is for some reason, even though the characters look exactly the same when you echo them out, my if statement still thinks they are different. I have tried using the htmlentities() function to encode the characters, the password from the database encodes nicely, giving me a working '& #35441;' (I've put a space in it to stop it from converting to a chinese character!). The other user input value gives me a load of funny characters. The only thing which I believe must be breaking it, is it encodes in a different way and therefore the php thinks it's 2 completely different strings. Does anybody have any ideas?   I have an issue where adding this to any asp.net request causes and unhandled error (regardless of CustomErrors setting): ?aspxerrorpath=<script The weird thing is that I have two applications that are totally immune to the problem, but I can't spot the difference. I'm running on IIS 7 and using the 4.0 Framework. But this also happens on my 3.5 IIS 6 apps. Again, I have two sites that are fine (IIS 7, 4.0) but can't determine why. I have tried turning off request validation to no avail. Has anyone encountered something similar? FIXED: This looks like it was an Umbraco issue. Dropdowns have normal things like strings, numbers. One drop has a list of mini views. Datepickers are bound to nullable dates set in the constructor of the viewmodel. • C# chart control Performance with large amounts of data

  I am using a chart control with a range bar graph to basically make a gantt chart for lots of people and lots of projects, say about 1000 total series. The issue that I am running in to is that once I have all my data added to the chart, which takes some time but that is to be expected, and I go to scroll down on my graph it freezes the whole application and takes a while before it unfreezes and scrolls down. Is there any way to improve the performance of this? I tried adding the graph to a panel and growing the graph size dynamically and then scrolling down from the panel but that cause a whole plethora of other issues. Any tips for speeding this up? I don't think it is my code as it has already finished running when this issue happens. Thanks.

  I'm working on migrating a website from an external server (running Apache) to a local server (running IIS), and have come across an issue that I can't seem to resolve. The site is using a custom Joomla plugin that grabs some graphics stored in a mysql database (for e.g. http://www.norfolktourism.ca/index.php?option=com_bdirectory&task=image&cid=191). However, when I migrate the site to the local server, the images are broken. Upon further exploration, I've discovered that somehow, when ran on the local server, their seems to whitespace (as in a new line) gets processed before the header() function is processed, hence breaking the image (however, I don't get an error - just a broken image). I'm absolutely baffled as to what the issue may be, as the code works fine on the external Apache server. Would anyone have any suggestions on possible resolutions?

  I have programmatically added an FBProfilePictureView object to a view. When initially logging in, the user's profile picture displays as expected when setting the profileId of the object within the FBLoginViewDelegate method loginViewFetchedUserInfo:user:. However, when logging off the following line of code produces an error: profilePicture.profileId = nil; The error thrown is: [__NSCFNumber isEqualToString:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance Note: This was only an issue after I incrementally upgraded the iOS SDK from 3.5 to 3.8. • How to give friend access to git repository without giving command line access?

  I have some git repositories running on my server and I would like to give a friend read/write access to one. That's simple: I add him as a user, give him SSH access, and change the permissions to the repository folder. Everything works fine; I'm able to clone the git repository using Xcode and change things (ssh://www.example.com/repo.git). However, I do not want him to have command line access. If I recall correctly, Github does not give command line access to those who SSH in. I'm using Snow Leopard Server. Is this more of a server issue or a git issue? Do you have any idea where to begin? Setting the user's Login Shell to none (as opposed to /bin/bash) cuts off access to everything.
