This was provided previously to support setting up ASP.NET Membership and Roles in a database. • Resque Runtime Error at /workers: wrong number of arguments for 'exists' command

  I'm having a runtime errror when i'm looking at the "workers" tab on resque-web (localhost). Everything else works. Edit: when this error occurs, i also have some (3 or 4) unknown workers 'not working'. I think they are responsible for the error but i don't understand how they got here Can you help me on this ? It is trying to create the schema table using this sql: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version DEFAULT (0) ) Which doesn't work on oracle. The correct sql would be: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int DEFAULT (0), constraint DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version primary key (version) ) The funny thing is that since this is the very first sql executed by subsonic migrations, NOBODY EVER TESTED it on oracle.

  I'm trying to write a Perl script that will work better with KDE's kwrited, which, as far as I can tell, is connected to a pts and puts every line it receives through the KDE system tray notifications, with the title "KDE write daemon". Unfortunately, it makes a separate notification for each and every line, so it spams up the system tray with multiline messages on regular old write, and for some reason it cuts off the entire last line of the message when using wall (One-line messages are also goners.). I was also hoping to make it so that it could broadcast across a LAN with thick clients. Before starting on that (which would require ssh, of course), I tried to make an ssh-less version to make sure it works.   I'm designing a protocol (in C) to implement the layered OSI network structure, using cnet (http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/cnet/). I'm getting a SIGSEGV error at runtime, however cnet compiles my source code files itself (I can't compile it through gcc) so I can't easily use any debugging tools such as gdb to find the error. • Why does Module::Build's testcover gives me "use of uninitialized value" warnings?

  I'm kinda new to Module::Build, so maybe I did something wrong. Am I the only one who gets warnings when I change my dispatch from "test" to "testcover"? Is there a bug in Devel::Cover? Is there a bug in Module::Build? I probably just did something wrong. I'm using ActiveState Perl v5.10.0 with Module::Build version 0.31012 and Devel::Cover 0.64 and Eclipse 3.4.1 with EPIC 0.6.34 for my IDE. UPDATE: I upgraded to Module::Build 0.34 and the warnings are still output. *UPDATE: Looks like a bug in B::Deparse.   As a first project I have been writing a short program to render the Mandelbrot fractal. I have got to the point of trying to output my results to a file ( e.g. .bmp or .ppm ) and got stuck. I have not really found any examples of exactly what I am trying to do, but I have found two examples of code to copy from one file to another. The examples in the Gforth documentation ( Section 3.27 ) did not work for me ( winXP ) in fact they seemed to open and create files but not write to files properly. So basically I am trying to make a terms of service for my windows mobile 6 professional application but it seems I need to use c++ to do it. After hours of searching I found a solution but it developed for windows mobile standard. So they somehow used c++ to make a message box and on standard devices(ie non touch screen phones) the message box can have like scrolling. For some reason this is not the case with professional devices(touch screen devices). So my message box goes off the page and you can never accept or decline the terms.   I'm trying to create a binary file from a intelHex file. Iside the intelHex file I have data and address to which I should write the data inside the binary file. Looks like there is some random data added to the file and I do not know from where. First time I saw that there is an additional data before the data from the intelHex file. For instance first data line starts with 21, but in binary file I have a number 12 before the 21. I do not know what is wrong here. Google's been unhelpful so far, and I was hoping that someone here had some insight as to what's causing this and how to fix it. Curiously, this error only shows up /usr/local/apache2/logs/error_log and not the error_log for the cpanel-configured site.

• How can I install Satchmo?

  I am trying to install Satchmo 0.9 on an Ubuntu 9.10 guest off of the instructions at http://bitbucket.org/chris1610/satchmo/downloads/Satchmo.pdf. I run into difficulties at 2.1.2: pip install -r http://bitbucket.org/chris1610/satchmo/raw/tip/scripts/requirements.txt pip install -e hg+http://bitbucket.org/chris1610/satchmo/@v0.9#egg=satchmo The first command fails because a compile error for how it's trying to build PIL. So I ran an "aptitude install python-imaging", locally copy the first line's requirements.text, and remove the line that's unsuccessfully trying to build PIL. The first line completes without error, as does the second. • Configuring RealVNC to accept copy/paste on a remote server

  Hi So, I'm using RealVNC Viewer locally (Mac OSX 10.6) and connecting to a VNC Server on a remote machine (Debian - I'm no Unix expert). I want to be able to copy and paste at the command line, but Ctrl+V, Shift+V and Command+V all do nothing on the remote command line. First question: should I be trying a different combination of keys? Secondly, if it's not that I'm using the wrong combination of keys, how can I configure VNC Server to accept copy and paste? I have 'Share clipboard with VNC Server' checked locally, so I figure it must be a problem on the remote machine. I only have command-line access on the remote machine (though I am root) so I need to configure the option somehow via the command line.

• How to get Passive FTP Working Through an Iptables Firewall?

  I have an iptables firewall running on a Fedora Linux server that is basically being used as a firewall router and OpenVPN server. That's it. We have been using the same iptables firewall code for YEARS. I did make some changes on 21 December to re-route a mySQL port, but given what has happened I've completely backed those changes out. Sometime after those changes were made and backed out passive FTP, served from a vsftpd process, stopped working. We use a passive ftp client to FLING (that's the name of the ftp client running under Windows! :-) ) images from our remote telescopes to our server. I believe it is something in the firewall code because I can drop the firewall and the FTP file transfer (and connecting to the ftp site with Internet Explorer to see the file list) works. When I raise the iptables firewall, it stops working. Again, this is code that we'd been using for years. However, I felt that maybe there was something I missed, so we had a .bak file from 2009 that I used. Same behavior, passive ftp does not work. So, I went and rebuilt the firewall code line by line to see what line was causing the problem. Everything worked until I put the line -A FORWARD -j DROP in very near the end. Of course, if I am correct, this is the line that basically "turns on" the firewall, saying drop everything except for the exceptions I've made above. However, this line has been in the iptables code probably since 2003. So, I'm at the end of my rope, and I still can't figure out why this has stopped working. I guess I need an expert on iptables configuration. I thought that bash might be prone to take part of the second pip invocation's URL as the beginning of a comment; I tried both: pip install -e hg+http://bitbucket.org/chris1610/satchmo/@v0.9\#egg=satchmo pip install -e hg+http://bitbucket.org/chris1610/satchmo/@v0.9#egg=satchmo Neither way of doing it seems to take care of the import error mentioned above. How can I get a Satchmo installation under Ubuntu, or at least enough of a Satchmo installation that I am able to start with a skeleton of a store and then flesh it out the way I want? • SSH garbling characters in vim/nano on remote server

  ... and it's driving me insane. Basically (this has been happening over the past couple months), I log into a few different CentOS servers (one Linode, another VPS, and a shared host to which I have shell access), running 5.5, 5.7, and 6, from my Mac running OS X Lion, using Terminal. Basically: $ ssh [email protected] [remote-host] $ nano somefile.txt Once I start editing the file, if I use the arrow keys to move around the cursor, or start deleting, then typing again, the cursor jumps around a bit, and if I save the file and reopen it, it's obvious that the cursor was, in fact, jumping all over the place on a line for no apparent reason. I end up getting things like "This is a neof text." When I had typed in (to the cursor-crazy editor) "This is a line of text." It's a big problem when it comes to editing configuration files, because I often have to edit one line, save and close, then reopen just to make sure that line is right... then edit another line... and it's getting quite annoying. I found Linode Lish Shell Vim and Nano rendering troubles: lines not appearing / cursor positions wrong, but I don't know if that relates much, since that's specifically referring to lish.
