I taked the snapshot but I can't record the video and store into hard disk. How to recording the video using JMF? If anyone know, then give the procedure..
I have a scheduled task that is very IO intensive (deleting hundreds of thousands of files). For disk space reasons, this job has to be performed reasonably quickly. On win2k8, scheduled tasks always have a low IO priority. Raising the priority of the process did not change the IO priority. Is there any way to get a scheduled task to have a normal IO priority?
My mom's computer motherboard ceased to work and instead of replacing it I bought a newer computer. I'd like to restore her mail account / outlook express identities from an old disk drive that is now connected to new computer... is it possible? I know how to restore old mails, but what about paasswords and pop3/smtp settings?
I'm trying to resize an ext4 filesystem on a Fedora 11 box.
Using fsdisk and lvm, I was able to grow the partition and
logical volume containing the filesystem.
When I try to run resize2fs on the device containing the
filesystem (/dev/sda2 in this case), I get:
"Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sda2,
Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock"
I've tried this from a rescue disk that doesn't have the filesystem
mounted, no joy.
Maybe resize2fs doesn't know about ext4?
Is there a way to find the QMetaObject instance of a class, given the class name? what I like to do is to load objects from disk, but for this to happen, I need a way to retrieve a QMetaObject instance using the name of a class, in order to use the QMetaObject to create an instance.
I'm embedding a Flash ActiveX control in my C++ app (Flash.ocx, Flash10a.ocx, etc depending on your Flash version).
I can load an SWF file by calling LoadMovie(0, filename), but the file needs to physically reside in the disk. How to load the SWF from memory (or resource, or stream)? I'm sure there must be a way, because commercial solutions like f-in-box's feature Load flash movies from memory directly also uses Flash ActiveX control.
Hi All,

Hi to all,
i'm not a VB programmer but i need a vbscript that convert image file (from local disk) to be converted to binary data and the passed to webservice. I realize how to pass data to webservice but i can't find how to convert the image file to binary data. I spend a lot of time to find some kind of solution but with no luck.
Can somebody help me?
Thanks!
I have a desktop application (C# .NET 3.5) that uses a SQL server for it's database. I have had a request from the client, however, to make it possible to export the database as it stands, and be able to use it on a laptop without connectivity. They understand that updates to the parent server will not be reflected in these offline clients.
Is there a way I can just save the DataSet's to a binary form and write them to a disk and send those files to the offline clients.
Hi,
I have problem with Runtime.exec() in Java
My code:
String lol = "/home/pc/example.txt";
String[] b = {"touch", lol};
try {
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(b);
} catch(Exception ex) {
doSomething(ex);
}
It's working good but when I trying changle variable "lol" files doesn't create in hard disk
for instance:
String lol = x.getPath(); where getPath() returns String
What should I do ?
Thanks for your reply :)
How many software projects have you worked on used object serialization? I personally never came across a scenario where object serialization was used. One use case i can think of is, a server software storing objects to disk to save memory. Are there other types of software where object serialization is essential or preferred over a database?
I have a an array of byte, size n, that really represents an array of short of size n/2. Before I write the array to a disk file I need to adjust the values by adding bias values stored in another array of short. In C++ I would just assign the address of the byte array to a pointer for a short array with a cast to short and use pointer arithmetic or use a union.
How may this be done in Java - I'm very new to Java BTW.
PdfFileReader reads the content from a pdf file to create an object.
I am querying the pdf from a cdn via urllib.urlopen(), this provides me a file like object, which has no seek. PdfFileReader, however uses seek.
What is the simple way to create a PdfFileReader object from a pdf downloaded via url.
Now, what can I do to avoid writing to disk and reading it again via file().
Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to send an email using classic asp and cdonts on a Windows Server 2003 machine.
But I'm guessing the SMTP service needs to be running. Unfortunately it's asking for teh SP1 disk...which apparently has gone missing. I'm guessing not but is there any other way of doing this?
Thanks,
I am using a DLL to generate an Excel File.
Instead of saving the Excel file to disk, should it be possible me to stream it directly to the visitor?
Thanks
I've had a need to create an encrypted volume on my mac for the company source code. The requirements are not terribly stringent: If someone can log into the machine as me, they win, but otherwise, they should lose. With that set of requirements, you can make it so that the disk is automatically mounted at login.
I can read the data in file.txt file located in local disk.
NSString *filePath = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"file" ofType:@"txt"];
NSString* Data = [NSString stringWithContentsOfFile:filePath encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error:&error ];
now, I upload the file.txt file into a website. how can i read the data from the txt file now from UIWebView?
Please help!!
I have a very large table in my database and I am starting to get this error
Could not allocate a new page for database 'mydatabase' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.
How do you fix this error? I don't understand the suggestions there.
I am cleaning up my machine and found cannot uninstall MSDN Library - January 2002 due to an error. It takes 1.3G disk space. I want to remove it. any idea where it is and how to manually remove it? or any free tool can do the trick for me? I am plan to install Visual Studio 2008 professional. I am using Windows XP.
thanks,
I have a U9 Telit modem which, at first, appears as a disk drive on USB bus. Then, the native software after autorun and install, sends a couple of IOCTLs to tell the device to reappear as other things. I can see them in procexp.
I want to better spy on these, to know exactly what they send and how, in order to do the same in proper way.
How can I cache an XSD schema (residing on disk) to be reused when parsing XMLs in Xerces (C++)?
I would like to load the XSD schema when starting the process, then, whenever I need to parse an XML, to validate it first using this loaded schema.
I have a shared disk that I would like to clean up once per week using a scheduled task of some sort. I would like to use a batch script so that the system admins can easily modify it or reuse it on other directories when needed.
The directory has files with multiple file extensions but the ones that need to be deleted end in .bkf and must be over 2 weeks old.
Does anyone have a batch script solution for this windows server (not sure which version)?
i need to know the function that convert RGB image into black &white(binary image)
