• .htaccess : Forward any link to /index.htm

  Hey all, I'd like to do the following: If a user gets to a url or types it in, and it is along the lines of any the following: /path/path/path /path /path/path/ I would like htaccess to forward them to that url + /index.htm before triggering a 404. Also, I would like to ignore this rule for certain paths. • AppData\Roaming folder in windows service project

  I need a help on getting Special folder in windows service program. I used this code in my Windows Form application: Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData); and got the path, ""C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming"* But if I run the same code in my Winows Service project I got the path: "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\" But I need the earlier path (got in Windows Form). How do I get the same path in Service projet also. I have user setting file, log, config file in the "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming" folder. So I have to refer the same path both in my Windows Form application and Windows Service project. Can somebody tell me, what is the difference here and how do i get the same path in both type of project? Thanks, sharath

  Background. I'm working with netlists, and in general, people specify different hierarchies by using /. However, it's not illegal to actually use a / as a part of an instance name. For example, X1/X2/X3/X4 might refer to instance X4 inside another instance named X1/X2/X3. Or it might refer an instance named X3/X4 inside an instance named X2 inside an instance named X1. Got it? There's really no "regular" character that cannot be used as a part of an instance name, so you resort to a non-printable one, or ... perhaps one outside of the standard 0..127 ASCII chars. I thought I'd try (decimal) 166, because for me it shows up as the pipe: ¦. So... I've got some C++ code which constructs the path name using ¦ as the hierarchical separator, so the path above looks like X1¦X2/X3¦X4. Now the GUI is written in Tcl/Tk, and to properly translate this into human readable terms I need to do something like the following: set path [getPathFromC++] ;# returns X1¦X2/X3¦X4 set humanreadable [join [split $path ¦] /] Basically, replace the ¦ with / (I could also accomplish this with [string map]). Now, the problem is, the ¦ in the string I get from C++ doesn't match the ¦ I can create in Tcl. i.e. This fails: set path [getPathFromC++] ;# returns X1¦X2/X3¦X4 string match $path [format X1%cX2/X3%cX4 166 166] Visually, the two strings look identical, but string match fails. I even tried using scan to see if I'd mixed up the bit values. When I changed the separator to (decimal) 28 (^\), things worked fine. I just don't want to get bit by a similar problem on a different platform. (I'm currently using Redhat Linux).

• Page Load Time - "Waiting on..." taking ages. What part of page request process is hung?

  I have a new cluster site running on Magento that's on a development server that is made up of 2 x web servers and 1 x database server. I have optimized the site in all areas I know (gzip, increasing php memory limits, increasing database memory limits etc) but sometimes the page loading gets stuck on 'waiting for xxx.xx.xx.xxx' (Chrome and other broswers, chrome just shows it that way). It can sit there for 40 + seconds, sometimes it just never loads and I close it in frustration. What part of the page loading process is this hung at? Is it a server issue, database issue, platform issue? I need to know where to start or whether to push the hosting provider about it.

• Using install_name_tool what's going wrong?

  I'm trying to change the install path of a dylib after it has been build. I use "otool -L" to check what the current path is. And then I do: $ install_name_tool -change /my/current/path/libmine.dylib /my/new/path/libmine.dylib libmine.dylib I don't get an error, but nothing changes. If I check the path again the old one is still there. Also the new path is a lot shorter then the old one, so no problem there, and I think the lib is even compiled with extra flag for more filepath space. Any ideas?

• Escape doube and single backslashes in a string in Ruby

  Hello. I'm trying to access a network path in my ruby script on a windows platform in a format like this. \\servername\some windows share\folder 1\folder2\ Now If I try to use this as a path, it won't work. Single backslashes are not properly escaped for this script. path = "\\servername\some windows share\folder 1\folder2\" d = Dir.new(path) I tried everything I could think of to properly escape slashes in the path. However I can't escape that single backslash - because of it's special meaning. I tried single quotes, double quotes, escaping backslash itself, using alternate quotes such as %Q{} or %q{}, using ascii to char conversion. Nothing works in a sense that I'm not doing it right. :-) Right now the temp solution is to Map a network drive N:\ pointing to that path and access it that way, but that not a solution. Does anyone have any idea how to properly escape single backslashes? Thank you

• Does anyone know any good MATLAB code for rumor routing?

  I am looking for a MATLAB code that works for rumor routing. In rumor routing, some N nodes are generated first and randomly one of the nodes generates an 'Agent'. Agent carries the information where it is comming from and what information (like temperature, humidity,etc) is it looking for and what all nodes has it traversed through (basically the path to where it originated). Also another agent is generated by some other node that has some information to share (like temperature or humidity level of an area) to any other node looking for it. Now if the information seeker agent (former) path intersects the path followed by information giving agent (later) and if the information happens to be the same, then the path is made and used for the same information exchange. But there is another problem. The path has to be shortest path available between them depending upon how many intermediate nodes needed to be passed to reach destination node. Now I know its a lot of work but even a little help will be appreciated. Thanks guys

• Content pulled in via jQuery AJAX is not associating with previous functions

  I'm using the jquery .load() function to pull in data to populate a div with. The content I'm pulling in has CSS selectors that should match up with jQuery click functions I've written. However, when I load in the data, although the correct CSS selectors are there, when I click on areas that should invoke a response from jQuery, nothing happens. Do I need to do some sort of reload? I tried putting a different placeholder for each tab, but that didn't fix everything either, since when loading "/Forums" it will sure load the forum tab, but the Blog tab will show up first. Furthermore, when using separate placeholders, If I load the "/Blogs" url, It will first load the content statically in the Blog contentplaceholder and then trigger an ajax call to load it a second time and replace it. If I just link the tab to the hashtag, then when loading the forum tabs, I won't get the blog content... How would you achieve the expected behaviour? I feel like I might have a deeper probelm in the organization of my views. Is putting the tabs in the masterpage the way to go? Maybe I should just hijax the links manually and not rely on jquery-ui tabs to do the work for me. I cannot load all tabs by default and display them using the hash tags, I need an ajax loading because it is a search process that can be long. So to sum up : /Forum should load the forum tab, and let the other tabs be loaded with an ajax call when clicking on it. /Twitter should load the twitter tab and let the other tabs.... the same goes for /Blogs and any tabs I would add later.

  Hi Alls, I would like to build a small python script that basicaly does the reverse of grep. I want to match the files in a directory/subdirectory that doesn't have a "searched_string". So far i've done that: import os filefilter = ['java','.jsp'] path= "/home/patate/code/project" for path, subdirs, files in os.walk(path): for name in files: if name[-4:] in filefilter : print os.path.join(path, name) This small script will be listing everyfiles with "java" or "jsp" extension inside each subdirectory, and will output them full path. I'm now wondering how to do the rest, for example i would like to be able if I forgot a session management entry in one file (allowing anyone a direct file access), to search for : "if (!user.hasPermission" and list the file which does not contain this string. • What is the most elegant way to deal with sourced files that themselves source (relative) source fil

  I am editing a file like /path/to/file.txt with vim, hence the current directory is /path/to. Now, I have a directory /other/path/to/vim/files that contains sourceA.vim. Also, there is a sourceB.vim file in /other/path/to/vim/files/lib/sourceB.vim In sourceA.vim, I want to source sourceB.vim, so I put a so lib/sourceB.vim into it. Now, in my file.txt, I do a :so /other/path/to/vim/files/sourceA.vim which fails, because the sourcing system is obviously not prepared for relative path names along with sourcing from another directory. In order to fix this, I put a execute "so " . expand("<sfile>:p:h") . "/lib/sourceB.vim" into sourceA.vim which does what I want. However, I find the solution a bit clumsy and was wondering if there is a more elegant solution to it. I cannot put the sourceA.vim nor sourceB.vim into vim's plugin folder.

• R looking for the wrong java version

  Hi, I installed/uninstalled java jre/jdk now many times and finally installed the older version 1.6.0_17 which is now located at "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin". Now after all if I call 'java -version' within R i can see that R is looking for Java at the old path which is now wrong. The question is: Why is R looking for Java at the wrong path even so the windows path is set correctly? There are no double entrys within the windows path as far as I can see and I restarted R as well as Windows more then once since then. Any Ideas where R takes the wrong path from? • Loading multiple embedded flash apps onto an HTML page- problem with ordering

  We need to load an embedded version of a site written in Flash, and not originally designed to load multiple instances of itself, on a HTML page. The specific issue is how to get them to load in order when embedded, given that they are all being opened by the same instance of the flash player. It's a complicated mapping application, and at the moment, the maps and data get intermixed as the session variables are overwritten by another instance starting to load before the previous one has finished. We need a way to have them load sequentially, one finishing before another starts to load. The most we can specify in the URL is an &order=1 or similar. We have PHP and SQL on the backend. Edit: The embedded versions are being loaded in an iFrame of a parent site. One php file loads one swf, as many times as the parent site desires.

I am stuck at the log on screen= i enter my password but i get a black screen flases up and the log on prompt reappears!!! tried using terminal prompts and i actually have loggin it- but not according to the main log onm screen. I cant get my desktop active as the log on prompt is there. when i put a wrong password in i get an invalid password message- with the correct password the log on screen just reappears!!!please help.
