  • can router configuration cause decreasing of download rate?

    my download speed got crazy since i changed the routers IP. but nothing got fixed after "reset factory"ing it. the speed was 1024kb/s(128kB/s) but it is 200kb/s(max) right now. i mean it works good if a request is small(i.e. a HTTP request) but it gets slow if a request has a big response. help me please(it is three days I'm downloading VS2010) http://serverfault.com/questions/135243/ no one on serverfault helped me for posting my question please migrate it to serverfault. thanks.

  • WPF MVVM: Convention over Configuration for ResourceDictionary ?

    Update In the wiki spirit of StackOverflow, here's an update: I spiked Joe White's IValueConverter suggestion below. It works like a charm. I've written a "quickstart" example of this that automates the mapping of ViewModels-Views using some cheap string replacement. If no View is found to represent the ViewModel, it defaults to an "Under Construction" page. I'm dubbing this approach "WPF MVVM White" since it was Joe White's idea. Here are a couple screenshots. The first image is a case of "[SomeControlName]ViewModel" has a corresponding "[SomeControlName]View", based on pure naming convention. The second is a case where the ModelView doesn't have any views to represent it. No more ResourceDictionaries with long ViewModel to View mappings. It's pure naming convention now. I'm hosting a download of the project here: http://rootsilver.com/files/Mvvm.White.Quickstart.zip I'll follow up with a longer blog post walk through. Original Post I read Josh Smith's fantastic MSDN article on WPF MVVM over the weekend. It's destined to be a cult classic. It took me a while to wrap my head around the magic of asking WPF to render the ViewModel. It's like saying "Here's a class, WPF. Go figure out which UI to use to present it." For those who missed this magic, WPF can do this by looking up the View for ModelView in the ResourceDictionary mapping and pulling out the corresponding View. (Scroll down to Figure 10 Supplying a View ). The first thing that jumps out at me immediately is that there's already a strong naming convention of: classNameView ("View" suffix) classNameViewModel ("ViewModel" suffix) My question is: Since the ResourceDictionary can be manipulated programatically, I"m wondering if anyone has managed to Regex.Replace the whole thing away, so the lookup is automatic, and any new View/ViewModels get resolved by virtue of their naming convention? [Edit] What I'm imagining is a hook/interception into ResourceDictionary. ... Also considering a method at startup that uses interop to pull out *View$ and *ViewModel$ class names to build the DataTemplate dictionary in code: //build list foreach ....     I have a c# library project, that i configured using nhibernate, and I like people to be able to import this project and use the project. This project has FrontController that does all the work. I have a connection string in hibernate config file and in app.config file of another project. it would be nice for anyone to be able to set the connection string into this library project and use it. such as through a method which will take the connectiong string as parameter. or when creating a new instance of FrontController to pass the connection string to constructor. or if you have a better idea. How to do this? I d like this class library to use the same database of the project that s imported. How to set hibernate connection string programatically? same idea for log4net.

  • Apache local configuration to resolve files correctly

    Hello, I am new at this so bare with me. I have just configured Apache and PHP to work on my local Mac OS X computer. Now PHP works fine, except when I try to load the files for my live sites. The live sites have separate directories and are sorted by client name etc. I've created symlinks in the default root for the local web server documents. My issue is that Apache doesn't seem to want to load any of the relative paths that are found in the HTML pages. For example, I have src="/css/main.css" but Apache doesn't load the file, similarly for images, it just resolves as a file not found 404 error. I then thought it might be the symlinks so I copied the full directory into the Apache document root, and still had the same result. I would really love to setup my local development environment to run Apache, PHP, MySQL to develop locally then publish when ready. I also tried the MAMP installation, and had the same issues. Any help at all in this would be greatly appreciated. If my explanation wasn't clear please let me know. Thanks! Alex.

I am able to collect token with app key and App secret, authorize token with a web page and Access the final token. Now I have to post a status with Linkedin’s Share API.   • Connecting to a self hosted WCF service from a Flex application - policy issues

    Hello, I am trying to accomplish the following: I wrote a Flex application that is trying to connect to a WCF service hosted on the clients computer. I also wrote a windows forms application for the client to run. This application exposes a self-hosted WCF service that the Flex application is supposed to connect to. This works fine if I'm loading the Flex application from my local IIS. The problem starts when the Flex application is hosted on a different domain. When this occurs, the flash player requires a crossdomain.xml policy file on the clients computer. I also managed to expose the crossdomain.xml on the clients computer using another WCF self-hosted service and WebHttpBinding on the clients computer. This also works fine. My problem is that the flash player requires that the crossdomain.xml or a meta policy file will be in the root directory of the domain. If I used my WCF service to expose something on the root directory of the clients computer I will run over any existing web server capabilities the client has on the computer (such as IIS). I know it's a bit complicated scenario, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

To inject different implementation of a repository, I want to have a switch in app.config which changes all real implementation of a repository to a mock repositories. Lets say IRepository has two implementations RealRepository and MockRepository ForRequestedType() .TheDefaultIsConcreteType(); I want to have a switch in app.config / web.config say (Mock=1), which changes all real repositories implementation to ForRequestedType() .TheDefaultIsConcreteType(); I don't want to write whole plugin definition in app.config, just want one switch, how do I implement this?

  • RSS feed created with PHP only shows the title in the feed reader

    I am using the following PHP code to generate the XML for an RSS feed, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. No short description is displayed in the feed reader, all I see is the title of the article. Also, all of the articles say they were published at the same time.     I'm having some issues with variable scope with the capistrano-ext gem's multistage module. I currently have, in config/deploy/staging.rb. set(:settings) { YAML.load_file("config/deploy.yml")['staging'] } set :repository, settings["repository"] set :deploy_to, settings["deploy_to"] set :branch, settings["branch"] set :domain, settings["domain"] set :user, settings["user"] role :app, domain role :web, domain role :db, domain, :primary => true My config/deploy/production.rb file is similar. This doesn't seem very DRY. Ideally, I think I'd like everything to be in the deploy.rb file. If there were a variable set with the current stage, everything would be really clean. UPDATE: I found a solution. I defined this function in deploy.rb: def set_settings(params) params.each_pair do |k,v| set k.to_sym, v end if exists? :domain role :app, domain role :web, domain role :db, domain, :primary => true end end Then my staging.rb file is just set_settings(YAML.load_file("config/deploy.yml")['staging'])

    Hello, I'm trying to create an element in an XML where the basic content is copied and modified. My XML is something like <root> <node> <child>value</child> <child2>value2</child2> </node> <node2>bla</node2> </root> The number of children of node may change as well as the children of root. The XSLT should copy the whole content, modify some values and add some new. The copying and modifying is no problem: <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0"> <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8"/> <xsl:template match="@*|node()"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> (+ further templates for modifications). But how do I add a new element in this structure on some path, e.g. I want to add an element as the last element of the "node" node. The "node" element itself always exists.

  • Traceability with XSD

    I am trying to let my XML schema handle a little traceability functionality as I'm gathering requirements while I read through some functional specifications. (Not ideal for requirement management, but at least its a start.) What I'm doing is creating a <functionalSpec tag for each functional specification I am currently reading through. I create a <requirement tag for each requirement I find. Since I want to be able to trace where the requirement came from, I create a <trace element with the id of the <functionalSpec element. Instead of allowing myself to enter any plain-old-text in the <functionalSpecId tag, I want the XSD to validate and make sure that I only enter in an id that exists for an existing functional spec. My problem is coming in where it seems the XML Schema W3C Recommendations documentation says that what I want to do is not possible. (about 1/2 way down) {selector} specifies a restricted XPath ([XPath]) expression relative to instances of the element being declared. This must identify a node set of subordinate elements (i.e. contained within the declared element) to which the constraint applies. I'm using Oxygen to create this since I'm fairly new to XSD files, and it gives me the following error: E [Xerces] Identity Constraint error: identity constraint "KeyRef@1045a2" has a keyref which refers to a key or unique that is out of scope. So my question is does anyone know of a way that will allow me to use the same XML structure that I have below through using XSD?   • Resolve sibling folder in JavaScript Function

    Hi, I am trying to pass into an JavaScript function two paths for an XML and XSLT. It would appear that in the sample HTML below that the use of "../xsl/filename" does not work for me in the xslt() function. If I specify the path as being "./filename" though this does work. Does anyone know how I can work around this or find some way that I can specify a sibling folder without an absolute path reference? I would prefer not to have to change my file paths as my development environment is set up with the xslt's, sample data and source code structured in a particular way. When I display the tags related to a topic then the URL on the tags appears something like this http://localhost/testapp/tags/Tags/view/{tag_key_name} I want to make this url for any action to tags plugin like this http://localhost/testapp/Tags/{action}/{tag_key_name} for (view, admin_view and admin_edit) and http://localhost/testapp/Tags/{action} for (index, admin_index and any other action that does not require an id or keyname for execution)

  • TFS Build Configuration Vs Test Manager

    Hi, I have been tasked with setting up TFS 2010 for my company. After setting up TFS and configuring the basics (New collection, project, adding solution to souce control), i thought i would try out some unit testing with it. I configured the Build Controller and Agent for my solution and added in some basic unit tests. These ran ok and did exactly what i would expect (i broke the build then ran the Build Definition, and it showed me where the errors were). My question is, what advantages (apart from the "Black box call stack logger") does Test Manager have over the TFS builds? Is it worth the extra effort of setting that up and configuring it? Only knowing the basics of what Test Manager is, that may be a very naive question to ask, and i appoligise if it is. Thanks

    I need to customise the deployment of my liferay portlet such that the GWT nocache.js files don't get a 'Expires' HTTP header set. My war file looks like this: view.jsp com.foobar.MyEntryPoint/com.foobar.MyEntryPoint.nocache.js com.foobar.MyEntryPoint/12312312313213123123123.cache.html WEB-INF/web.xml WEB-INF/portlet.xml WEB-INF/liferay-portlet.xml ... etc my web.xml is pretty much empty (only has the displayName) On deployment this is rewritten my liferay to have a series of filters in particalar: Header Filter com.liferay.portal.kernel.servlet.PortalClassLoaderFilter filter-class com.liferay.portal.servlet.filters.header.HeaderFilter Cache-Control max-age=315360000, public Expires 315360000 Header Filter *.js This filter adds an Expires header for about 2020 to the .nocache.js js files... the trouble is these files really shouldn't be cached (the hint is in the name :) For development purposes I have worked around this by disabling the filter using: com.liferay.portal.servlet.filters.header.HeaderFilter=false in portal-ext.properties globaly. What I what I would like to to is one of the following: Disable HeaderFilter only for this portlet or war file. I can always add my own expires Add an init-param to the HeaderFilter to match anything other than .nocache.js files Any ideas how either of these things could be achieved? Stack: liferay-6.0.1 CE, Windows 7, java 1.6.0_18, GWT 2.0.3

    Hi i am new to php, I currently learning php using eclipse. I know i have to install the zend debugger my php.ini store at c:windows i had added in these line: [Zend] zend_extension=c:/php/ext/ZendDebugger.dll zend_debugger.allow_hosts=127.0.0.1 zend_debugger.expose_remotely=always zend_debugger.connector_port=10013 but on command prompt i tried php -m it shown that i never install zend debugger. I not sure where goes wrong I check phpinfo also never show any zend information.

  • Allow run-time configuration of web service url using ATL soap and sproxy-generated proxy class

    I have a Visual C++ application that communicates with an ASP.NET web service via ATL Soap. The client application uses an sproxy-generated proxy class for the communication. Looking at the generated proxy class, I noticed that the url for the web service is hard-coded in numerous places. It would be preferable for the url to be configurable at run-time (e.g. stored in a config file). Could anyone recommend a method for doing this? It doesn't look like the class generated by sproxy is amenable to hand-editing.
