  Greeting All, I want to achieve transparent persistence of Java objects through memory-mapped files (utilize the OS paging/swapping mechanism). My problem is: how can I move a Java object to my memory-mapped block ? Plus, how can I force a new object instance to reside in such blocks ? As you all know, a memory-mapped block can be seen as a byte array, and what I am really asking here is how to overlap the address space of Java objects with the one of such arrays ? If Java does not allow me for this, what cross-platform & garbage-collecting OO language would you advise me to use ? Thank you all in advance.

  Dear experts, I was trying to dynamically generate DOM elements using JS. I read from Douglas Crockford's book that DOM is very very poorly structured. Anyways, I would like to create a number of DIVISION elements and store the reference into an array so it could be accessed later. Here's the code for(i=0;i<3;i++){ var div=document.body.appendChild(document.createElement("div")); var arr=new Array(); arr.push(div); } Somehow this would not work..... There is only 1 div element created. When I use the arr.length to test the code there is only 1 element in the array. Is there another way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance

  I need to change the layout of the Search Block in Drupal. It’s currently ordered Search Button ‘Search this site’ Search Input but the designs I have want it to be Search Input ‘Search this site’ Search Button How do I go around changing the order in Drupal? I can change the search-block-form.tpl.php so the submit button is at the end but the ‘Search this site’ always appears before the input and I would like it after. I hope that makes sense. I can also do it using CSS but I’d prefer to use Drupal? Many thanks in advance

• Multipart question: Mapping between xml and Json using xpath

  This is a JSON mapping question from a json newbie. Currently i'm reading xml using xpath in C#, and the xpath are returning either the element or attribute node values, as is the schema's want. I want to write out some of the returned values into a json formatted file. I know i can faneigle the xpath expression to return the element or attribute names, so I can built the appropriate name/value json structure before serialization, but I was I'm wondering if their was some way of doing a mapping between the xml and json. The xml schema is fairly big, so potentially the mapping will be big, meaning a ton of cumbersom coding to make it work. Is their any way to automap somehow? I was planning to use json.net, which seems flexible enough, although their may be a better approach. Any help would be appreciated. Bob.

  In relation to this question, I was wondering if anyone knows a javascript code snippet/library to convert a single doxygen comment to HTML? For example, /** This is a comment block * * \b bold text * \i italic text */ would be converted to something like: <p>This is a comment block</p> <p><b>bold</b> text</p> <p><i>italic</i> text</p> Similar for all the other formatting related tags of doxygen. I've found this already, which seems to be a good starting point if I have to implement it myself, but possibly I'm missing a complete project :-) So, suggestions welcome!

  I have Window that has a ListBox ListBox(MyListBox) has a DataTable for its DataContext ListBox's ItemSource is : {Binding} Listbox has a UserControl(MyUserControl) as DataTemplate UserControl has RadioButtons and TextBoxes (At first They're filled with values from DataTable and then user can change them) Window has one Submit Button What I want to do is, when user clicks the submit button For each ListBox Item, get the values form UserControl's TextBoxes and RadioButtons. But when I used much more items, I saw that "var border" gets "null" after some elements looped in foreach function. • How to align centre a custom label in highcharts

  See a jsfiddle example I am trying to align the custom label in the /labels/items JSON element to hang right under the title and subtitle. Playing with firebug I can alter the SVG text element for the label and add text-align='middle' and change the x='' attribute to have the same value as the title's x attribute. This makes it perfectly align under the title and stay there when resized but I can't figure out how to make the highcharts library generate this source. Maybe there is a better way to add another label under the subtitle?

  Hullo First, I want to use bash for this and the script should run on as many systems as possible (I don't know if the target system will have python or whatever installed). Here's the problem: I have a file with binary data and I need to replace a few bytes in a certain position. I've come up with the following to direct bash to the offset and show me that it found the place I want: dd bs=1 if=file iseek=24 conv=block cbs=2 | hexdump Now, to use "file" as the output: echo anInteger | dd bs=1 of=hextest.txt oseek=24 conv=block cbs=2 This seems to work just fine, I can review the changes made in a hex editor. Problem is, "anInteger" will be written as the ASCII representation of that integer (which makes sense) but I need to write the binary representation. How do I tell the command to convert the input to binary (possibly from a hex)?

  I have a list of chinese characters and normal alphanumeric characters, mixed together, and I want to get rid of any element that contains an alphanumeric character. Is there a simple way to do this? If I simply exclude any element that contains an alphanumeric character, I get no result because the chinese characters (in utf-8) are similarly affected. I also tried [w for w in fourchar if w.startswith("\x")] to try to get the chinese characters but I'm not sure if that's valid at all. I'm having difficulty figuring out what the alphanumeric characters are in unicode. Thanks for any help!

  Hi all, I'm having some trouble with Jquery and JqModal, and I hope you are able to help, since I've been struggling for hours.. Having a single button element with an onclick action running my method "test" (shown below): $('#picture_form').jqm({ajax: '/test.php'}); $('#picture_form').jqmShow(); This will load the ajax content of test.php into my div element picture_form, shown using JqModal as its supposed to! Though when I close this window, and re-clicks the button I'm getting the error: $("#picture_form").jqm is not a function. As a solution I've tried to use the JqModal trigger function, and this leaves me able to open and close the JqModal windows as many times as I want to. Sadly I can only call the 'trigger' using test environment, in my production code I have to open the JqModal window using a function.. Does anyone have a clue why this 'bug' appears when calling the opening when using a function? Thanks in advance

  Hi Please give a look at this site. maimei.ch After 5 times opening a new site via ajax (fancybox) it crashes in IE? One little thing is that i load a whole asp.net site via ajax in the new window. so viewstate and other overhead is there twice after. could this be the problem? if yes, why just after 5 times?. is it possible to call just the content of an specific element via ajax? may be just the innerhtml of the body element of the called site?   I need to create a console application that has a main() function and pop a modeless dialog, so the console can still work in parallel to the modeless dialog (do other work, like communicating with the modeless dialog). Whatever i tried, i could only pop a modal dialog. (where the console is in hold till the modal dialog close itself). When switching to modeless dialog using Create() and ShowWindow() the dialog is displayed without its controls and it freeze / block (you can see the hourglass cursor). 1) i tried to pop the modeless dialog from the main() function 2) i tried to pop the modeless dialog from the InitInstance() of a CWinApp derived class In all cases the modeless dialog freeze / block. • How do you protect code from leaking outside?

  Besides open-sourcing your project and legislation, are there ways to prevent, or at least minimize the damages of code leaking outside your company/group? We obviously can't block Internet access (to prevent emailing the code) because programmer's need their references. We also can't block peripheral devices (USB, Firewire, etc.) The code matters most when it has some proprietary algorithms and in-house developed knowledge (as opposed to regular routine code to draw GUIs, connect to databases, etc.), but some applications (like accounting software and CRMs) are just that: complex collections of routine code that are simple to develop in principle, but will take years to write from scratch. This is where leaked code will come in handy to competitors. As far as I see it, preventing leakage relies almost entirely on human process. What do you think? What precautions and measures are you taking? And has code leakage affected you before?

  Why won't Java let me assign a value to a final variable in a catch block after setting the value in the try block, even if it is not possible for the final value to be written in case of an exception. Any help will be appreciated.

  Hello everyone, I am using c# to integrate with a web cam. I need to generate a snapshot image every x miliseconds and save it to file. I already have the code up and running to save to file on a button click event, however I wonder what am I supposed to do when taking snapshots in the background - Should this be multi threaded? I'm honestly not sure. I could just block the UI thread, put Thread.Sleep and then just take the snapshot, but I don't know if this is right. I thought of using a background worker, but I am now experiencing cross threaded difficulties with SendMessage... So I wonder if I should even go and bother to multi-thread or just block the UI. Help greatly appertained, thanks in advance.
