    Don't remember this from earlier, but my mouse is lagging when I refresh specific websites in Chrome and Firefox. I can't observe such lags with Internet Explorer.   • MySQL not respond when overheaded

    I have few Drupal 6 websites on webhosting, which causes this strange problem: some tables, especially Cache and Watchdog, tend to overhead, when overhead is bigger than some amount of kB, MySQL server is refusing connection to given Drupal database or connection is broken during query execution, Optimizing table (just overheaded rows) in phpMyAdmin is putting all back to normal. But - until database is optimized, site is showing just MySQL errors, which is ugly... Where is a problem? Thank you for any hints I could pass back to the hosting admins!

    My post-commit hook looks like this: pushd C:\Websites\Project svn update I am updating my server copy of repository. When I commit client stopped on sending content and locked or I dont know. Its is waiting for something. So when I cancel and try to update manually on server, I see: Working copy "." lockedsvn And only after manual cleanup and update again, I get updated revision, that was really commited. What I do wrong?

  • Why would my VPN connection work better than my direct connection?

    I have a new Windows 7 64bit laptop, which connects wirelessly to a ASDL router/modem. With my regular connection, page requests often time out - usually with form submissions. When I use the same connection to connect to a VPN (using OpenVPN) the requests seem to work fine. These are not requests to sites that are only available via the VPN - just regular websites I think this is specific to this new laptop (provided and set up by my employer) - other machines work fine. Many thanks for any advice, James

    I am using GWT MVP and UiBinder to create an app with a DockLayoutPanel. I want the north and south docks to be static, containing buttons and links. I want to have dynamic views in the center and two different areas of the east dock. As these dynamic areas should be independent of each other, I am setting up different ActivityMapper and ActivityManager's for each dynamic display area; center, east-top, and east-bottom. How can I independently initialize these 3 different display areas when the application is loaded? How can I switch from one Activity to another in one display area without affecting the other areas? When I use the the PlaceController's goTo to switch from one Place to another in one area, the other area's Activity is stopped. Mayday, please help, mayday!   • Need help getting DIV inside DIV to stretch to width of contents in Firefox

    I am using a layout similar to the one from Dynamic Drive here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts/item/css-right-frame-layout/ The main content area (white) has overflow set to auto. I have given the innerTube inside this main content area a border. However if the contents within this innerTube are greater than the width of the main content area, a horizontal scroll bar will appear as expected, but in Firefox these contents will 'overlap' the border and go off screen (can be retrieved by scrolling horizontally). In other words, the right hand border remains in place, and the content just goes over the op of it, and disappears behind the right hand column. In IE it behaves exactly as I want - the content pushes the border off screen to be visible only once you scroll over there. I guess the easiest thing is to paste the source code here. If you copy it into a blank file you'll see what I mean. I've just used one really long word to replicate what happens if a wide image is there instead.     I've got custom errors to work for .aspx page like: www.domain.com/whateverdfdgdfg.aspx But, when no .aspx url is requested, (like http://www.domain.com/hfdkfdh4545) it results in an error: HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. I have this in my web.config: <customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="/error/1" redirectMode="ResponseRedirect"> <error statusCode="404" redirect="/404.aspx" /> </customErrors> 404.aspx exists, since the above DOES work when requesting non-existent .aspx pages... I also configured the errorpages in IIS7: Status code: 404 Path: /404.aspx Type: Execute URL Entry type: Local My websites application pool setting is "ASP.NET v4.0" Now why is this still not working?

  • OpenGL or OpenGL ES

    What should I learn? OpenGL 4.1 or OpenGL ES 2.0? I will be developing desktop applications using Qt but I may start developing mobile applications in a few months, too. I don't know anything about 3D, 3D math, etc and I'd rather spend 100 bucks in a good book than 1 week digging websites and going through trial and error. One problem I see with OpenGL 4.1 is as far as I know there is no book yet (the most recent ones are for OpenGL 3.3 or 4.0), while there are books on OpenGL ES 2.0. On the other hand, from my naive point of view, OpenGL 4.1 seems like OpenGL ES 2.0 + additions, so it looks like it would be easier/better to first learn OpenGL ES 2.0, then go for the shader language, etc Please, don't tell me to use NeHe (it's generally agreed it's full of bad/old practices), the Durian tutorial, etc. Thanks
