  • Symfony Rewrite rules on Zeus webserver

    - by Ben
I would like to run a symfony project on a zeus webserver, however i cannot get the rewrite rules to work. Has anyone done this successfully The symfony .htaccess is as follows: Options +FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On # uncomment the following line, if you are having trouble # getting no_script_name to work #RewriteBase / # we skip all files with .something #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} \..+$ #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.html$ #RewriteRule .* - [L] # we check if the .html version is here (caching) RewriteRule ^$ index.html [QSA] RewriteRule ^([^.]+)$ $1.html [QSA] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f # no, so we redirect to our front web controller RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [QSA,L] </IfModule> From what I can tell the following should work on zeus: match URL into $ with (^(.*)$) if matched then set URL = index.php But it doesn't... I can only load the home page from / all other pages just 404. Thanks..

  • Access Rules created by WSAT are not enforced

    - by rsteckly
Hi, I'm trying to implement roles in my site. There are several projects in the solution, one of which is a web application. In that web application, I'm trying to use WSAT to create three roles. There are many folders for the application. I've used WSAT to define role based access rules for each folder. However, when I debug and navigate to those pages, they do not redirect to a login and show me the protected page. There are web.config files in each folder. Why would the system not enforce these rules? My web.config file has: I've tested the connections in WSAT and they work. Any ideas?

  • mod_rewrite if file exists

    - by Mathieu Parent
Hi everyone, I already have two rewrite rules that work correctly for now but some more code has to be added to work perfectly. I have a website hosted at mydomain.com and all subdom.mydomain.com are rewrited to mydomain.com/subs/subdom . My CMS has to handle the request if the file being reached does not exist, the rewrite is done like so: RewriteCond $1 !^subs/ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^.]+)\.mydomain\.com$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ subs/%1/index.php?page=$1 [L] My CMS handles the next part of the parsing as usual. The problem is if a file really exists, I need to link to it without passing through my CMS, I managed to do it like this: RewriteCond $1 !^subs/ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^.]+)\.mydomain\.com$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ subs/%1/$1 [L] So far it seems to work like a charm. Now I am being picky and I need to have default files that are stored in subs/default/. If the file exists in the subdomain folder, we should grab this one but if not, we need to get the file from the default subdomain. And if the file does not exist anywhere, we should be using the 404 page from the current subdomain unless there is none. I hope it describes well enough. Thank you for your time!

  • Ways to access a JavaScript Object's Property in IE6

    - by aaronrussell
I have a JavaScript object with some properties. Lets say: var haystack = { foo: {value: "fooooo"}, bar: {value: "baaaaa"} }; Now, I want to access one of those properties, but I don't know which one. Luckily, this variable does: var needle = "foo"; In modern browsers I seem to be able to do the following and it works: haystack[needle].value; # returns "fooooo" But in IE6 it throws a wobbly, haystack[...] is null or not an object. Is there a way to achieve what I'm trying to achieve in IE6? If so, how so?

  • Why is my .htaccess file redirecting to full server path instead of relative path?

    - by death.au
I've never had a problem with cakePHP before, but something's odd about this server and is causing the redirects in the .htaccess files to behave oddly. CakePHP uses mod_rewrite in .htaccess files to redirect requests to its own webroot folder. The problem is that the redirects are listing the wrong path and causing a 404 error. My CakePHP application, which is stored in the listings directory, has a .htaccess file as follows: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^$ app/webroot/ [R=301,L] RewriteRule (.*) app/webroot/$1 [R=301,L] </IfModule> (*note that the R=301 causes an external redirect so we can see what is going on from our end. It should really omit this flag and do the redirect internally, transparent to end-users) This is supposed to redirect any request from http://hostname.com/~username/listings/ to http://hostname.com/~username/listings/app/webroot/ However, rather than simply adding “app/webroot/” to the end as it is supposed to, it is adding the full server path ( /home/username/public_html/listings/app/webroot/ ) resulting in the final URL http://hostname.com/home/username/public_html/listings/app/webroot/ which is obviously incorrect and triggers a 404 error. The hosting is on a shared hosting account, so that limits what I can do with the settings. I've never seen this happen before, and I'm thinking it's something wrong from the hosting side of things, but if anyone has some helpful suggestions then I can put them to the hosting company as well.

  • Need an Android Devloper with access to a Motorola Droid (Android 2.1)

    - by Rob Kent
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I have an Android app on the market that has a reported problem only on Droid. I don't have access to the handset and cannot find anyone with one where I live. The problem I'm experiencing is partially explained at: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2700983/problem-saving-file-on-motorola-droid-android-2-1. If you are an Android developer with a Droid, I'm happy to pay a reasonable fee if you'll debug the app for me. I'll send you the source. Please email me at [email protected]

  • How to access a plugin model from a regular controller in PHP Cake 1.1

    - by Duncan
Hopefully a simple question: I've a plugin which uses a set of tables (kb_items, kb_item_tags, etc). and I'd like to be able to access these models from another controller (say, my Pages controller), thus: class PagesController extends AppController{ function knowledgebase(){ $items = $this->KbItem->findAll(...); } } I am admittedly breaking the rules a little (by not placing this controller inside the knowledge base plugin), but this in this case its a custom page that doesn't need to be part of the knowledge base plugin code base. Please let me know if you need more details. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Django logs: any tutorial to log to a file

    - by Algorist
Hi, I am working with a django project, I haven't started. The developed working on the project left. During the knowledge transfer, it was told to me that all the events are logged to the database. I don't find the database interface useful to search for logs and sometimes they don't even log(I might be wrong). I want to know, if there is an easy tutorial that explains how to enable logging in Django with minimal configuration changes. Thank you Bala

  • How to access USB ports in java

    - by Petezah
Hi I'm trying to write a java application that accesses the usb ports to some read and writes to a device connected through usb. The problem I face is that I don't know what exactly to use in java to do such a thing. I searched online a found something called jusb but all the post seem fairly old. Currently I'm using the RXTX libraries but I sometimes run into some sync error. When I use C# to do the equivalent it requires far less code and I don't face any of the same sync error. My question is there anything built into the latest version of the JRE I can use to access the usb ports that is just as easy as the equivalent C# code? Sorry if the question isn't too clear, I'm fairly noob with coding usb IO.

  • mod_rewrite different rules for different pages

    - by Sophia Gavish
Hi, I'm trying to understand how mod_rewrite works. I've been using it before but this week I tried to write rules to a new website and it doesn't works. I want to make a rule to make : www.example.com/media/?gallery=galleryname&album=albumname&pid=pictureid looks like: www.example.com/media/galleryname/albumname/pictureid The rule is: RewriteRule ^([^/])/([^/])/([^/]*)$ /media/?gallery=$1&album=$2&pid=$3 [L] and here is the code below: Options -Indexes Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} !^(TRACE|TRACK|GET|POST|HEAD)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l RewriteRule ^([^/])/([^/])/([^/]*)$ /media/?gallery=$1&album=$2&pid=$3 [L] I really want to know what I'm missing, because I tried some examples and it looks fine to me. maybe because /media/ is an actual folder the rule is wrong? Thanks.

  • mod_rewrite RewriteRule is not working

    - by buggy1985
Hi, This is a follow-up of this question: Rewrite URL - how to get the hostname and the path? I got this Rewrite Rule: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(http://[-A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)/([-A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)\?([A-Za-z0-9+&@#/%=~_|!:,.;]*)$ http://http://www.xmldomain.com/bla/$2?$3&rtype=xslt&xsl=$1/$2.xsl it seems to be correct, and exactly what I need. But it doesn't work on my server. I get a 404 page not found error. mod_rewrite is enabled, as the following simple rule is working fine: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^page/([^/\.]+)/?$ index.php?page=$1 [L] Can you help? Thanks

  • Am I missing a flag or something? RewriteRule tip needed

    - by Kirill
RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9_]+)$ index.php?p=$1&l=$2 RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9_]+)/$ index.php?p=$1&l=$2 this works fine if I do site.com/param_one/param_two/, but returns a 404 when I omit param_two. I'm a newbie to routing requests with htaccess, is there a simple quick fix?

  • How can I pre-compress files with mod_deflate in Apache 2.x?

    - by Otto
I am serving all content through apache with Content-Encoding: zip but that compresses on the fly. A good amount of my content is static files on the disk. I want to gzip the files beforehand rather than compressing them every time they are requested. This is something that, I believe, mod_gzip did in Apache 1.x automatically, but just having the file with .gz next to it. That's no longer the case with mod_deflate.

  • apache mod_rewrite regex problem with multiple parameter

    - by iko
Regular expressions have always been my pet peeves. Every time I think that I finally got it I have a new problem ! I want to catch url like this : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/99/104 http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla1/99 and eventually : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/product1/99/104/55/ after a lot of tries and errors I came up with this which seems to work with http://www.gskinner.com/RegExr/ but not in apache ^.*/boutique/([a-zA-Z-]*)(/?[a-zA-Z-]*)/?([0-9]*)/?([0-9]*)/?$ boutique.php?c1=$3&c2=$4 (I was only working with the first two url so far) MY apache rewrite log debug files are helpless : pass through /Users/iko/Sites/mysite/boutique.php I'm only interrested in getting the ids. Any help we'll be welcomed ! Thank you.

  • How do you throw an HTTP error with mod_python

I have a setup where I'm serving simple python pages using the mod_python publisher. At some points I'd like to have the python function raise a standard apache error - for example throwing a 500 error if a required file is missing. How can I throw an apache error from within a mod_python script?

Hello people, I made a theme in WordPress which hit the mod_security rule on HostGator and gave 403 error. I contacted people there(at HostGator) and they fixed it for me. But I don't want my theme to work like this. I just wanted to know if there are any guides/blog post/tutorials telling about writing PHP code which is mod_security friendly? I tried Google, but didn't find anything helpful.

  • Shipping GNU/Linux Firefox plugin with shared libraries (for installation with no root access)

    - by Vi
The application is a Firefox plugin (loaded from $HOME/.mozilla/plugins), so wrapper script that sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not an easy option. RPATH, as far as I know, cannot refer to $HOME and can be only absolue path. Firefox tries to dlopen it's plugin from ~/.mozilla/plugins but fails (because it depends on shared libraries installed somewhere in the user home directory). Modifying Firefox menu item to provide a wrapper (with LD_LIBRARY_PATH) around Firefox is too hacky. What should installer script do (without root access) to make standard firefox load plug-ins that depends on out shared library? Should I just try to make embed everything into that .so to remove dependencies? Should I try to make installer script to finish linking or patch RPATH during the installation phase?

  • Relative Paths, etc. on an Apache server

    - by Matt H.
I'm really stuck here. I have 2 issues at once: First, my site is stored (both on local development and on live server), in a subdirectory.. as I'm working on multiple sites. i.e. /Sites/www.mysite.com/(site files here) When I'm referring to files in my web pages, I want to refer to, say, my /images directory without hard-coding every occurrence as /www.mysite.com/images/myfile.jpg Is there a way to simply redefine how the leading "/" gets interpreted by the server? Question two, concerning PHP mod_rewrite I have this set of rewrite rules. The objective is to turn www.mysite.com/faq into www.mysite.com/index.php?page="faq" RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !mysite.com RewriteRule (.*) mysite.com/$1 RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)$ /mysite.com/index.php?site=$1 RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/$ /mysite.com/index.php?site=$1 I don't have a problem when a url gets passed in the 2nd-to-last format (as the example above). However, if the trailing "/" is added: www.mysite.com/faq/, my external script references break: (such as src=js/script.js)...

  • Django website on Apache with wsgi failing

    - by notagain
I have a website I've built in django that I'm trying to get working on our corporate Apache server (on debian) for our intranet at my workplace. Unfortunately, Apache keeps returning server errors whenever I try to navigate to my site. Although I can navigate to the statics folder. My Apache config and wsgi script look like the following... lbirdf.wsgi import os import sys sys.path.append('/home/lbi/rdfweb/web') sys.path.append('/home/lbi/rdfweb/lbirdf') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'lbirdf.settings_production' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() Apache config Listen 8080 <VirtualHost *:8080> ServerName server1 WSGIScriptAlias /rdfweb /home/lbi/rdfweb/web/lbirdf/apache/lbirdf.wsgi Alias /statics /home/lbi/rdfweb/web/lbirdf/statics Alias /admin_media /home/lbi/rdfweb/web/lbirdf/admin_media <Directory /home/lbi/rdfweb/web/lbirdf/apache> Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> <Directory /home/lbi/rdfweb/web/lbirdf/admin_media> Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> Any ideas on where I might be going wrong?
