  • Multiple CodeSnippet in an XML .snippet file

    I'm attempting to supplement the help features for my code by providing other developers with code snippets. These produce skeletons of code which demonstrate how to use/call my classes or methods. I've created a .snippet file and have placed it in the "%Visual Studio Folder%\Code Snippets\Visual Basic\My Snippets" folder. I've used the Code Snippets Manager and ensured that it included this folder so that I can access the snippets. Everything works well when I have 1 CodeSnippet tag within the root CodeSnippets tag.... When I add more than one CodeSnippet tag to the file (each with their own title, and their own code example) I'm experiencing something strange. The first CodeSnippet I've added contains code for adding something to my system, the second contains code for editing something in my system, and the third deleting something from the system. When I use the code snippet by right clicking and selecting "Insert Code Snippet", only the first code snippet in the file shows up as an option. When I select it, the code in the first CodeSnippet is inserted....but so is the code within the other CodeSnippet tags. Do you have to have a separate XML .snippet file for each code snippet you want to make available? After reading through MSDN about creating Code Snippets I was under the impression that this could all be done within one file. It seems that I'm not understanding something very basic here and would love to find the answer but apparently Code Snippets are under used so finding the answer has proven to be a little trickier than I first thought it would be.   • Fluent NHibernate OptimisticLock.None() causes "The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value."

    I'm using the following mapping: public class LoadMap : IAutoMappingOverride<Load> { public void Override(AutoMapping<Load> mapping) { mapping.HasMany(x => x.Bids).OptimisticLock.None(); mapping.Version(x => x.Version); } } But when I try to create the session I get the following exception: [FormatException: The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value.] [XmlSchemaValidationException: The 'optimistic-lock' attribute is invalid - The value 'none' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:boolean' - The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value.] I'm using NHibernate 2.1.2.4000 and I was using Fluent NHibernate 1.0RTM, but tried the latest build 636 just to be sure this isn't something that was fixed recently or something. As a side note, in case I'm doing this all wrong, I would like to be able to make changes to the .Bids list without incrementing Version. I saw an example on Ayende's blog that did what I wanted with properties.

  • Android layout with sqare buttons

    I want to make a layout similar to this one: Four square buttons on the screen - each of those using half of the screen with/screen height (whichever is smaler).     I have avoided working with fetchxml as I have been unsure the best way to handle the result data after calling crmService.Fetch(fetchXml).   • Help installing Zorba (XQUERY) PHP Extension on windows

    Hi, I'm trying to install zorba php extension on windows and I am having all sorts of problems. I have installed the zorba binaries on my computer, but when I try to install the PECL package (pecl install zorba-alpha) I get the following error "ERROR: the DSP zorba.dsp does not exist". I've tried searching for zorba_api.dll or zorba_api.so in order to just bypass the pecl install process, but no luck. If anyone can tell me how to get the zorba extension installed on my windows php I will be eternally grateful. Alternately, if someone knows of another xquery solution for PHP that I can install, I will be equally excited and appreciative. Thank you! Davey

    I am having difficulty with the PHP SoapClient() function. The SOAP request is successful, but the response is returned as an object containing a single XML string with the key "any".   • relational data from xml

    Our problem is this, we have a relational database to store objects in tables. As any relational database could, several of these tables have multiple foreign keys pointing to other tables (all pretty normal stuff) We've been trying to identify a solution to allow export of this relational data, ideally, only 1 of the objects in the model, to some sort of file (xml, text, ??). So it wouldn't be simple enough to just export 1 table as data stored in other tables would contribute to the complete model of the object. Something like the following picture: Toward this, i've written a routine to export the structure by following the foreign key paths which exports something similar to the following. <Tables> <TableA PK="1", val1, val2, val3> <TableC PK="1", FK_A="1", Val1, val2, val3> <TableC PK="2", FK_A="1", val1, val2, val3> <TableB PK="1", FK_A="1", FK_C="1", val1, val2, val3> <TableB PK="2", FK_A="1", FK_C="2", val1, val2, val3> <TableD PK="1", FK_B="1", FK_C="1", val1> <TableD PK="2", FK_B="2", FK_C="1", val1> </Tables> However, given this structure, it cannot be placed into a heirarchial format (ie D2 is a child of C1 and B2; and B2 is a child of C2) Which in turn, makes my life very difficult when trying to identify a methodology to reimport (and reKey) these objects. Has anybody done anything like this? how do you do it? are there tools or documentation on how this is best accomplished? Thanks for your help.

Problem here is the xwriter.WriteElementString will escape all "<" and "" symbols with &lt and &gt. I have checked MSDN to see if there is a way to disable it, but have not found an answer. Is there a way to disable the auto-escape features?

In the report I created a dataset with a SOAP call to the data source so I get the result from the sharepoint list in a table. this is the soap call <Query> <SoapAction>http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/GetListItems</SoapAction> <Method Namespace="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/" Name="GetListItems"> <Parameters> <Parameter Name="listName"> <DefaultValue>{BD8D39B7-FA0B-491D-AC6F-EC9B0978E0CE}</DefaultValue> </Parameter> <Parameter Name="viewName"> <DefaultValue>{E2168426-804F-4836-9BE4-DC5F8D08A54F}</DefaultValue> </Parameter> <Parameter Name="rowLimit"> <DefaultValue>9999</DefaultValue> </Parameter> </Parameters> </Method> <ElementPath IgnoreNamespaces="True">*</ElementPath> </Query> THis works fine, I have a result which I can show in a report, but I want to have the ability to select a parameter to filter the result on. I have created a parameter and when I preview the Report I see the dropdownbox which I can use to make a selection from the Title field, when I do this it still shows the first record, obviously it doens't work yet (DUH!) because I need to create a query somewhere, But! I have no idea where, I tried to include <Where> <Eq> <FieldRef Name="ows_Title" /> <Value Type="Text">testValue</Value> </Eq> </Where> in the the soap request but it didn't worked... I've searched teh intarwebz but couldn't find any simliar problems... kinda stuck now...any thoughts on this?   • ws-xmlrpc claims error on part of service but other clients work fine

    I've been trying to connect to an rTorrent instance using ws-xmlrpc and it just isn't going too well. Now, the URL I'm using is the same that I've been using when making sure that rTorrent's XMLRPC support is fine (which it appears to be since both a native OS X application and a small python script I threw together appear to be able to talk to it just fine without any errors). However, when I try using ws-xmlrpc to connect I get org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: Failed to create input stream: Unexpected end of file from serverat the top of my stack trace followed by a bunch of steps down to: java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTPHeader(HttpClient.java:769) ... So basically, it seems that ws-xmlrpc is convinced that the reply from rTorrent is malformed somehow but other libraries apparently have no problem with it. The code I use to call rTorrent is: private Object callRTorrent(String command, Object[] params) { Object result = null; try { // xmlrpcclient is an XmlRpcClient object and is instantied in // the class constructor result = xmlrpcclient.execute(command, params); } catch(XmlRpcException xre) { System.out.println("Unable to execute method "+command); xre.printStackTrace(); } return result; } With command set to system.listMethodsand params set to an empty Object[]. From reading documentation and googling my conclusion is that I'm not doing anything obviously wrong and this problem doesn't appear to be common, so does anyone have a clue what's going on here?

  • Avoid XmlDocument validating namespaces in C#

    Hello, I'm trying to find a way of indenting a HTML file, I've been using XMLDocument and just using a XmlTextWriter. However I am unable to format it correctly for HTML documents because it checks the doctype and tries to download it. Is there a "dumb" indenting mechanism that doesnt validate or check the document and does a best effort indentation? The files are 4-10Mb in size and they are autogenerated, we have to handle it internal - its fine, the user can wait, I just want to avoid forking to a new process etc. Essentially, right now I use a MemoryStream, XmlTextWriter and XmlDocument, once indented I read it back from the MemoryStream and return it as a string. Failures happen for XHTML documents and some HTML 4 documents because its trying to grab the dtds. I tried setting XmlResolver as null but to no avail :(
