    I have the following model: class Image(db.Model): auction = db.ReferenceProperty(Auction) image = db.BlobProperty() thumb = db.BlobProperty() caption = db.StringProperty() item_to_tag = db.StringProperty() And the following form: class ImageForm(djangoforms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = Image When I call ImageForm(), only the non-Blob fields are created, like this: <tr><th><label for="id_auction">Auction:</label></th><td><select name="auction" id="id_auction"> <option value="" selected="selected">---------</option> <option value="ahRoYXJ0bWFuYXVjdGlvbmVlcmluZ3INCxIHQXVjdGlvbhgKDA">2010-06-19 11:00:00</option> </select></td></tr> <tr><th><label for="id_caption">Caption:</label></th><td><input type="text" name="caption" id="id_caption" /></td></tr> <tr><th><label for="id_item_to_tag">Item to tag:</label></th><td><input type="text" name="item_to_tag" id="id_item_to_tag" /></td></tr> I want the Blob fields to be included in the form as well (as file inputs).     I have public class QuantityType { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private Key key; @Persistent private String type; } I am trying to setup a query to get the right QuantityType by it's key gql = "select * from QuantityType where __key__='aght52oobW1hIHTWVzc2FnZRiyAQw'"; But its not working because BadFilterError: BadFilterError: invalid filter: key filter value must be a Key; received aght52oobW1hIHTWVzc2FnZRiyAQw (a str). I have also tried to use gql = "select * from QuantityType where __key__=='" + KeyFactory.stringToKey(qTypeKey)+"'"; but it's now working.. How can I get a specific object from my datastore by it's key?

    I am using OS X 1.6 snow leopard and I successfully got PIL installed. I am able to open terminal and type import Image without any errors. However, When using app engine I get Image error still saying that PIL is not installed. I am wondering if any of you have an thoughts as to how I can resolve this issue. -Matthew

The problem is that I need only one marker and if I click several times, each time a new marker is added. How to change the code so only one marker is placed and when the map is clicked again it just changes its location?

    The included JavaScript snippet is supposed to do the following: As the user clicks on the map, initialize headMarker and draw a circle (polygon) around it As the user clicks inside the circle, initialize tailMarker and draw the path between these two markers 1 is happening as expected. But as the user clicks inside the circle, in the function(overlay,point), overlay is non-null while point is null. Because of this, the code fails to initialize tailMarker. Can someone tell me a way out.   • Google App Engine - How to implement the activity stream in a social network

    I want some ideas on the best practice to implement an activity stream for a social network im building in app engine (PYTHON) I first want to keep a log for all activities of each user - so that we have a history. i.e. someone became a friend, added a picture, changed their address etc. This way we have a users history available should we need it. Also mean we can remove friendship joins, change user data but have a historical log. I also want to stream a users activity to their friends. for this only the last X activities need to be kept - that is in the scenario that messages are sent to friends when an activity occurs. Its pretty straight forward designing a history log - ie: when, what, where. The complication comes as to how we notify friends of a user as to their activity. In our app friendships are not mutual - ie they are based on the twitter following model. Some accounts could have thousands of followers. What is the best approach to model this. using a many to many join table and doing a costly query - using a feed class that fired a copy of the activity to all the subscribers - maybe into mcache? As their maybe a need to fire thousands of messages i would imagine a cron job would need to be used. Any help ideas thoughts on this Thx

  • Product Kit does not save the selected products!

    Arg! When I save my product kit, with several product selected, I land on a blank product kit node (as in no sub products). The message confirms the update, however when I return to the node edit page the products are no longer selected, hence the blank kit node page. Thoughts on debugging this, or what might lead to it?

    I'm having a bit of trouble with ReferencePropertys in App Engine (Python). For a bit of fun, I'm trying to model a folder/file system, but having trouble getting folders to reference folders. My first attempt was this: class Folder(db.Model): id = db.StringProperty() name = db.StringProperty() created = db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now_add=True) folder = db.ReferenceProperty(Folder, collection_name="folders") But that fails as "Folder" isn't defined when "folder" is trying to be defined. I've also tried defining "folder" outside of the main declaration for "Folder", like so: class Folder(db.Model): id = db.StringProperty() name = db.StringProperty() created = db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now_add=True) Folder.folder = db.ReferenceProperty(Folder, collection_name="folders") But that fails with: AttributeError: 'Folder' object has no attribute 'folders' I'm kind of stumped. Does anyone have experience with this, or a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

    I have a Google Code project which has a lot of wiki'ed documentation. I would like to create a copy of this documentation for offline browsing. I would like to use wget or a similar utility. I have tried the following: $ wget --no-parent \ --recursive \ --page-requisites \ --html-extension \ --base="http://code.google.com/p/myProject/" \ "http://code.google.com/p/myProject/" The problem is that links from within the mirrored copy have links like: file:///p/myProject/documentName This renaming of links in this way causes 404 (not found) errors, since the links point to nowhere valid on the filesystem. What options should I use instead with wget, so that I can make a local copy of the site's documentation and other pages?

  • How to sync my PDA (outlook, no wifi) with my Google Calendar?

    Hey Everybody, We have an old PDA that is not networked (Mio 168). It's main purpose is to serve as an agenda for which we use the outlook that came with it. Now, as my wife usually has the PDA and I want to be able to check and update our agenda too, I'm looking for a way to sync it with Google Calendar by hooking it to my PC via USB. I found a tool to sync outlook with Google Calendar. However, I would need outlook on my PC to be able to use that and I don't have outlook on my PC, nor do I want to buy it just for this sync. So, does anybody here now if and how I can sync my outlook on my PDA with Google Calendar without the go between of a PC version of outlook? Cheers.

The import of standard product is successful but not for the product with customs options. For customs option, missing "info_buyRequest" valu in database. The technical support of magento we responded "the import process currently can't handle importing products with custom options". Magento use custom options when ordering a product with customs options on website. What features do magento use to fill in the fields "info_buyRequest" and "Product_options" when ordering?   • Scroll bar issue in google chrome

But the scroll bars appear on top of the inner div (blocking its contents). Works fine in firefox and IE. I need the inner div to be positioned absolutely. Someone help please..

    I have a data set with 30 columns and multiple rows (some cells have no data). I would like to be able to facet the columns in groups. 1 2 3 4..... Row1 A B C D Row2 E A D F Row3 Q A B H Given the above data I would like the facet to retun the number of instances in a group of columns. For the first three columns I need the facet to return: A - 3 B - 2 C - 1 D - 1 E - 1 Q - 1 I have tried to combine columns when I loaded the data but the individual data was grouped as well. This is not the desired outcome. For example: ABC - 1 EAD - 1 QAB - 1 Thanks in advance.

    Chrome is wrongly reporting width and height values for images during, or just after, load time. Jquery is used in this code example: <img id='image01' alt='picture that is 145x134' src='/images/picture.jpg' /> <script> var img = $( 'img#image01' ) img.width() // would return 145 in Firefox and 0 in Chrome. img.height() // would return 134 in Firefox and 0 in Chrome. </script> If you put the script in a onload function, the result is the same. but if you run the code a few seconds after the page has loaded, chrome returns the correct result. <script> function example () { var img = $( 'img#image01' ); img.width() // returns 145 in both Firefox and Chrome. img.height() // returns 134 in both Firefox and Chrome. } window.setTimeout( example, 1000 ) </script> Also if you specify the width and height values in the img tag, the script seems to work as expected in both Firefox and Chrome. <img id='image01' src='/images/picture.jpg' width=145 height=134 /> But as you cannot always control the html input, this is not an ideal workaround. Can jQuery be patched with a better workaround for this problem? or will I need to specify the width and height for every image in my code?

The problem is that I have to show size attribute of configurable product on category grid and list view. Every solution on google suggested something like $_product->getAttributeText('size') but I ended up at just a single string - "S" or "M" instead of an array. How can I fetch all possible sizes of all simple products which belongs to particular configurable product without much hassle?

Would it add more space complexity to the algorithm? Or it just doesn't require to memoize the state at all. Update: for example, a decision tree is the following: A - B - C - D - E - A | F - G (Goal) Starting from state A. and G is a goal state. Clearly there is a solution under depth 3. However, using my implementation under depth 4, if the direction of search happens to be A(0) -> B(1) -> C(2) -> D(3) -> E(4) -> F(5) exceeds depth, then it would do back track to A, however E is visited, it would ignore the check direction A - E - F - G
