• Recover a folder or file in TortoiseSVN whilst also retaining all history.

  In revision 1 a folder existed. In revision 2 the folder was accidently deleted and the change committed. We wish to roll back such that the folder is present, and retain its history. In the TortoiseSVN docs it indicates 'how' in the section titled "Getting a deleted file or folder back". To quote: Getting a deleted file or folder back If you have deleted a file or a folder and already committed that delete operation to the repository, then a normal TortoiseSVN - Revert can't bring it back anymore. But the file or folder is not lost at all. If you know the revision the file or folder got deleted (if you don't, use the log dialog to find out) open the repository browser and switch to that revision. Then select the file or folder you deleted, right-click and select [Context Menu] - [Copy to...] as the target for that copy operation select the path to your working copy. A switch retrieves the file into my working copy as one would expect, however there is no "Copy to" option on the context menu when I right click this working copy. If I open the repos browser, there is a copy to option, but it seems this simply takes a copy of the file. The solution I feel is to do a Branch/Tag, but if I try this from a prior revision to the same path in the repository SVN throws error that the path already exists. • Need help with artificial neural network

  I have an input data for neural network that consists of 2 vectors with 200 elements, that i got from some program for generating signals. So it is actually 2x200 input to my nnet. As target data, i have one 1x200 vector that i also got from the same program. That is my training data set. I gather as much of those sets as i want so i transfer them to matlab and save them as, for example, set1, set2,.... When i am creating neural net, using newfit function (backropagation algorithm and everyhting else is set by default because i am kind of unexperianced with neural nets so i will have to experiment) i'm creating it using set1 only for example. Then, when i am to train neural net i train it for set1 then load set2 and train for it and so on. so its like this function net = create_fit_net(inputs,targets) numHiddenNeurons = 20; net = newfit(inputs,targets,numHiddenNeurons); net=train(net,inputs,targets); load set2; net=train(net,inputs,targets); load set3; net=train(net,inputs,targets); load set4; net=train(net,inputs,targets); i am using 4 sets of data here and all sets have variables of same name and size. My quesion is, am i doing this the right way, because, when doing simulation in some other m file, i am getting bad results, and every time i get different results. Does it matter if i create network with one set and then train with others too, and does it matter what set do i use to train network 1st? Also, i am confused about the amount of neurons to use (im using in the example 20 but actually i tried 1, 10, 30, 50, 100 200 and even 300 and i get nothing). If you have any suggestions, i'd be glad to take them into consideration. Any help is welcome. thanks in advance

  I'm writing a Cocoa application, with a GUI designed in Interface Builder. Problem: I must also fire the run: method in response to GUI events, so it is synchronous (i.e. a "perform activity" button). Like this: [timer fire]; I could do this with performSelectorInBackground too, and of course it doesn't block the UI. But this synchronous firings run in another runloop! So I have no guarantee that they won't overlap. How can I queue all of my firings on the same runloop?

• MATLAB Builder NE crash apppool on IIS 7.5

  Im developing a web user interface for MATLAB functions with ASP.NET. Ive started with studying demos and stucked with such problem. I created a MyComponent.dll assembly with deploytool from MATLAB 2010a, target framework - 3.5. This component has one function GetKnot() which returns a figure. function df = getKnot() f = figure('Visible', 'off'); knot; df = webfigure(f); close(f); end Then I made simple webapp in visual studio 2008 sp1, with only one page Default.aspx. I added references to MWArray.dll, WebFiguresService.dll and MyComponent.dll. The codeBehind is: using System; using System.Web; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; using MyComponent; using MathWorks.MATLAB.NET.WebFigures; namespace MATLAB_WebApplication { public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { var myComponentClass = new MyComponentClass(); var x = myComponentClass.getKnot(); //WebFigureControl1.WebFigure = new WebFigure(); } } } When I run this page on Visual Studio`s Development web server - everything is fine, figure works. But when I`m trying to deploy webfigure on my local iis 7.5 which runs on Win7 x32 - iis app pool crashes. There is an entry in System Event Log "A process serving application pool 'Classic .NET AppPool' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '3676'. The data field contains the error number 6D000780". This happens when MyComponent is instantiating. What I could forget when moved to IIS? Other examples, like magic square console application, runs perfect, and every matlab component instantiating, but not in IIS environment.

• How can I create a custom UIToolbar like component in a UITableViewController?

  I have a UITableViewController. I want a "toolbar-ish" component at the bottom. I started by using a background image and a button. In interface builder, I added them to the bottom of the iPhone screen. The problem I ran into was that the background image and button scrolled with the table. I obviously need this fixed at the bottom. Not finding too much direction online, I decided to customize a UIToolbar to look how I want since the position is fixed by default. In my initWithNibName for my UITableViewController, I have: UIImage *shuffleButtonImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"shuffle_button.png"]; NSArray* toolbarItems = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithImage:shuffleButtonImage style:UIBarButtonItemStylePlain target:self action:@selector(push:)], nil]; [toolbarItems makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(release)]; self.toolbarItems = toolbarItems; The problem I am running into now is that the "shuffleButtonImage" is not showing up properly. The shape of the button shows up fine but it is colored white and therefore does not look like the image. Does anyone know why a "white image" would be showing instead of the actual image? Also does it sound like a good idea to customize a UIToolbar or is there a simple way to ensure a fixed position "toolbar-ish" component. To reiterate - my "toolbar-ish" component only needs to be one button at the button of my UITableView. The single button has a gradient color background that I create with an image.

• Migrating complex SVN branch hierarchy to Mercurial

  Our team has been using SVN for managing an application of decent size and over time a rather complex hierarchy of branches and tags has built up, which is following the basic standard layout for SVN repositories, but is more nested: |-trunk |-branches | |-releases | | |-releaseA | | `-releaseB | `-features | |-featureX | `-featureY |-tags |-releaseA | |-beta | `-RTP `-releaseB |-beta `-RTP (The feature branches are obviously temporary branches but we have to take them into consideration as it won't be feasible to close all of them at once in the near future) For several reasons but primarily because merges have been becoming an increasing pain, we are considering to switch to Mercurial. The main problem we are currently facing is migrating the existing code base without losing our history. I've tried several migration tools (e.g., yasvn2hg, hg convert and svn2hg) with yasvn2hg being the most promising, but none of them seem to be able to deal with nested hierarchies but they all assume that branches and tags are organized in one flat directory respectively. The choice between named branches or clones as the conversion target of old SVN branches is not a limiting factor in this case, as either solution would be appreciated. We are currently experimenting with both options and how they would fit into our current processes but haven't decided on one yet. I'd obviously be interested in recommendations or experiences with similar setups concerning that issue as well. So, what is the best way to convert a nested SVN branch hierarchy like this to Mercurial? Converting one branch at a time into a separate repository would be quite annoying and I am not sure if that would be the right approach in the first place, depending on how the tools handle historic merges and need to be aware of all other branches?

And met the next problem: when I click "Upload Files" link,that progress is shown and "completed" status is appeared, but in reality - it didn't happened anything,Java Servlet isn't called from backend. • Javascript floodlight tracking iframe leaves browser window blank, please help!

  Hello, I have been asked to implement a javascript floodlight tag onto my site which is to be called everytime a customer downloads a pdf file. • [Linq to SQL] Multiple foreign keys to the same table

  I have a reference table with all sorts of controlled value lookup data for gender, address type, contact type, etc. Many tables have multiple foreign keys to this reference table I also have many-to-many association tables that have two foreign keys to the same table. Unfortunately, when these tables are pulled into a Linq model and the DBML is generated, SQLMetal does not look at the names of the foreign key columns, or the names of the constraints, but only at the target table. So I end up with members called Reference1, Reference2, ... not very maintenance-friendly. Example: <Association Name="tb_reference_tb_account" Member="tb_reference" <====== ThisKey="shipping_preference_type_id" OtherKey="id" Type="tb_reference" IsForeignKey="true" /> <Association Name="tb_reference_tb_account1" Member="tb_reference1" <====== ThisKey="status_type_id" OtherKey="id" Type="tb_reference" IsForeignKey="true" /> I can go into the DBML and manually change the member names, of course, but this would mean I can no longer round-trip my database schema. This is not an option at the current stage of the model, which is still evolving. Splitting the reference table into n individual tables is also not desirable. I can probably write a script that runs against the XML after each generation and replaces the member name with something derived from ThisKey (since I adhere to a naming convention for these types of keys). Has anybody found a better solution to this problem?

  In my ASP.Net MVC app I have a Model layer which uses localised validation annotations on business objects. The code looks like this: [XmlRoot("Item")] public class ItemBo : BusinessObjectBase { [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "RequiredField", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(StringResource))] [HelpPrompt("ItemNumber")] public long ItemNumber { get; set; } This works well. When I want to serialise the object to xml I get the error: "'ErrorMessageResourceType' property specified was not found" (although it is lost beneath other errors, it is the innerexception I am trying to work on. The problem therefore is the use of the DataAnnotations attributes. The relevant resource files are in another assembly and are marked as 'public' and as I said everything works well until I get to serialisation. I have references to the relevant DataAnnotations class etc in my nunit tests and target class. By the way, the HelpPrompt is another data annotation I have defined elsewhere and is not causing the problem. Furthermore if I change the Required attribute to the standard format as follows, the serialisation works ok. [Required(ErrorMessage="Error")] Can anyone help me?

• Incompatibility between x86 and x64 in Installation solution

  Hello, I have installation solution that have installer project (not web installer but simple installer) that installs NT services, web service and web sites with help of additional two projects of dlls with my own code that performs my installation step. In user actions of installer project I call installer function of one of those projects, and this project calls to installer of second project: installer - MiddleCaller - InstallationCore. All this developing on Windows 7 and work fine when I compile all in 32 bit. The project must run on Windows 2008. Because of some reasons all must be in x64 bit. For this purpose, in MiddleCaller and InstallationCore I click right button of mouse on project - build - targer x64. For to move installer project to 64 bit in properties of installer (when project is active) I check: Target platform: x64. When I run installation on x86 I get error: The installation package is not supported by this processor type" And this is good, because now I know that my installation compiled in 64 bit, but when I run this on windows 2008 I get: Error 1001. Exception occured while initializing the instance: System.BadImageFormatException: could not load file or Assembly 'MiddleCaller, v...' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Any one has some idea what I need to do for run fine the installation on x64? May be I still not moved the installer project to x64 bit, if yes, where I do this? Thank you for ahead.

• Aspnet_merge error has no detail

  I have been attempting to add a Deployment Project to my web app. When I build it, I get a message "An error occurred when merging assemblies: Exception from HRESULT: 0x806D0004". There is no other detail, like ILMerge error, or Duplicate Name. I have "verbosity" set to "Diagnostic", and this is the output: Command: C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\WebDeployment\v8.0\aspnet_merge.exe "\...XXX...\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\XXX_deploy\Debug" -o XXX_deploy -debug -copyattrs The "AspNetMerge" task is using "aspnet_merge.exe" from "C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\WebDeployment\v8.0\aspnet_merge.exe". Utility to merge precompiled ASP.NET assemblies. I added a single new form named Default. I have even tried renaming that form to DefaultX, just in case there was another Default out there. I still get the error. What else can I look for? So, I removed the tableView by using removeFromSuperView. But, I am not able to get to the first view. I do not get where to use - (void)dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:(BOOL)animated; to navigate to first view1 where I have started ? How can I do this ? Thank You.

• Can the Windows Indexing Service restart an app pool if it doesn't index the Web.Config?

  I am having a slight debate with a colleague of mine on this subject. Scenario: A web site has a sub directory that is indexed using the Windows Indexing Service. There is not a web.config in this directory and the indexing service is not indexing the parent directory which is the site root. Something is causing the app pool to restart at supposedly random times. From what I am finding online, the only time the Windows Indexing service would cause an app pool restart is if it's indexing the web.config (or machine.config). My colleague is saying that the indexing service is causing the restarts just because it's in a child folder of the root. So...does anyone have any information or experience on this? If the indexing service is indexing a child folder of the root but not the root directory itself, can it cause IIS to restart the site's app pool? EDIT: The sub directory in question is NOT the bin directory. I know it would cause such as well; however, the bin directory is not the target of the indexing service.

• PInvoke Unbalances the stack

  Good afternoon, I have been working on a dll that can use CORBA to communicate to an application that is network aware. The code works fine if I run it as a C++ console application. However, I have gotten stuck on exporting the methods as a dll. The methods seems to export fine, and if I call a method with no parameters then it works as expected. I'm hung up on passing a C# string to a C++ method. My C++ method header looks like this: bool __declspec(dllexport) SpiceStart(char* installPath) My C# DLL import code is as follows: [DllImportAttribute("SchemSipc.dll", CharSet=CharSet.Ansi)] private static extern bool SpiceStart(string installPath); I call the method like so: bool success = SpiceStart(@"c:\sedatools"); The call to SpiceStart throws the exception "PInvokeStackImbalance", which "is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature." Does anyone have any suggestions? If I remove the char* and string from the parameters, then the method runs just fine. However, I'd like to be able to pass the installation path of the application to the dll from C#. Thanks in advance, Giawa

  I'm trying to get MSBuild 2010 to publish a web app to a specific location. I can get it to publish the deployment package to a particular path, but the deployment package then adds it's own path that changes. This means I can't just script a copy from the publish location. • Debugging Cactus Tests in Eclipse

  Side note: This is inherited code, I didn't do any of the setup and am new to the project. I'm trying to set up remote debugging in Eclipse for these unit tests that use Cactus. I've read around a bit (but I can't seem to find any REAL information how to set this up). Closest I've found is here (http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/CactusInWTP/CactusInWTP.html), but it just says to Debug - Debug on Server, but nowhere does it say where the debug port is set or anything, and I can't find anything on how to enable this, set it. Just asking to see if anyone has set this up before, it would really help stepping through the code rather than just logging. The plugin (http://jakarta.apache.org/cactus/integration/eclipse/runner_plugin.html) Looks promising, but I also don't even know where to download it, it doesn't link to a location -.- The project uses ant, cactus, and I'm using Eclipse.   Hello guys and gals... I have a LI with some information, including some links. I would like jQuery to make the LI clickable, but also remain the links in the LI. The Clickable part works. I just need the links within to work as well. NOTE: They work if you right click and choose "Open in new tab". Obviously, this packaging corresponds to a specific development, for which a plugin has been created in Eclipse. What I would like to do is configure Eclipse according to my pom.xml content. I've obviously looked at Customizable build lifecycle, but I'm more than confused by provided information. From what I understand, I must define in my target project a build plugin, in which i'll add configuration elements specific to my project.
