  I want these two print functions to do the same thing: unsigned int Arraye[] = {0xffff,0xefef,65,66,67,68,69,0}; char Arrage[] = {0xffff,0xefef,65,66,67,68,69,0}; printf("%s", (char*)(2+ Arraye)); printf("%s", (char*)(2+ Arrage)); where Array is an unsigned int. Normally, I would change the type but, the problem is that most of the array is numbers, although the particular section should be printed as ASCII.

• DB2 AS400 Java function always returns same value

  Hello, I am writing a user defined function to DB2 on AS/400 in Java and the strangest thing happen.. I am always getting the same result from the function even when i am changing it, even if i am dropping it and create it again and even when i specify NOT DETERMINISTIC.. Does any one have ever encountered a behavior like that?

• DataContractSerializer: preserve string member that happens to be raw xml?

  I'm a little inexperienced with the DataContract paradigm, and I'm running into a deserialization problem. I have a field that's a string, but it contains xml and it's not being deserialized correctly. I have a feeling that it's because the DCS is treating it as input to the serializer and not as an opaque string object. Is there some way to mark a DataMember in code to say "This thing is a string, don't treat its contents as xml" similar to XmlIgnore? Thanks!

• Use WampServer's MySQL as a real MySQL for going on the net.

  Is this a right thing to do? I am using the Apache/Tomcat that comes with the liferay portal bundle and I used the MySQL that comes with WampServer at home but now I want to transfer my portal to a real Server and I wanted to know whether I could still use the Wamp's MySQL or should I install a real MySQL (What's the difference?) • Can I get a person's display name or composite name from Apple AddressBook on OSX platform?

  I have come across ABRecordCopyCompositeName() in these pages but, having Spotlighted it, have a hunch it's only available for the IOS platform. The AddressBook app itself, and ABPeoplePicker obviously do something similar internally, so is there an equivalent API for OSX? It's a tedious thing to retrieve title, first name, middle name, last name, suffix and work out if it's a company before building it yourself.

Those kiosk are not connected on a network nor to each other, they have a separate webserver and database.. what Is the best thing that I can use to have these users on every kiosk to have their different unique id? I am planning using hash so that when we combine all the data's in every machine on single server we can accommodate each unique ids.

  Hello, i am using the Eclipse RCP trayitem, which is described in Vogellas tutorials here: http://www.vogella.de/articles/RichClientPlatform/article.html#systemtray The requirement now is not only to show the name of the app in the tooltip but also a percentage while doing lengthy operations. I understand that the trayitem attribute is a private from ApplicationWorkbenchWindowAdvisor, so I added a getter and setter method. The only thing missing is a possibility to access the trayitem instance from my ProgressMonitorDialog instance. Can you tell me, how you would solve this puzzle? Thanks

  I know the .NET framework and WPF pretty well, but I think the whole thing has gotten too blown up, especially for small apps as the whole .NET framework 3.5 weighs 197 MB by now. I am looking for a language/framework/library that provides functionality similar to that of WPF (animations, gradients, a.s.o.) and the .NET framework (of course not everything, but the basic features) and which is faster and more lightweight than the .NET framework and creates smaller and faster applications than the ones using .NET.   When dealing with cell arrays, I can use the deal() function to assign cells to output variables, such as: [a, b, c] = deal(myCell{:}); or just: [a, b, c] = myCell{:}; I would like to do the same thing for a simple array, such as: myArray = [1, 2, 3]; [a, b, c] = deal(myArray(:)); But this doesn't work.
