  • Sharepoint custom page Full postback with SPGridVIew depite the presence of update panel

    Hi all I have a custom sharepoint aspx page that has a dropdownlist and a SPGridView. I put the dropdownlist inside an update panel so when the selected index changes the page does not refresh. It worked fine till I added a SPGridVew to the page with an ObjectDataSource as a datasource for it. after I added the SPGridView the page made full postbacks when the dropdownlist selection changes despite it is inside an update panel what is the reasin for this nand is there any workaround for this ? thanks

  • Return/consume dynamic anonymous type across assembly boundaries

    The code below works great. If the Get and Use methods are in different assemblies, the code fails with a RuntimeBinderException. This is because the .Net runtime system only guarantees commonality of anonymous types (<string, int> in this case) within assemblies. Is there any way to fool the runtime system to overcome this?     Hello. We use custom type to represent Identifiers in our project. It has TypeConvertor attached and it always helped with serialization. I've tried to use WCF Data Services to expose some data from our system, but faced a problem. Astoria framework do not recognize class as an entity even though I've decorated it with [DataServiceKey("Id")] attribute. If I change type of property to Guid - it totally works :(. How could teach WCF Data Services to understand this simple class?

    Hi., I have an existing wizard template created for VC++ from year back, ported to VS2008. It uses the custom wizard jscript/html templating system and DTE object. I've used this successfully for years, but now I want to create an entry for a standard C# project, I see there's no way to customise the C# project settings - the methods are for VC++ only. Is there something closely related to this for C# projects (or do I have to learn yet another way of creating a wizard for .net apps?)

How can I pass the list and dictionary as parameters? Added func(10,20, 10,20,30, k='a') seems to be working

    I can detect that the iPhone went to sleep and came back from sleep, by using the applicationWillResignActive and applicationDidBecomeActive. But how do I find out what kind of interrupt it was. I am making an audio player application, and need to keep the audio playing when the iPhone goes to sleep (which I know how to do). But I need to interrupt the audio when a message, alarm or low battery interrupt occurs. Also I need to resume the audio when the event is over. So how do I differentiate between these different interrupts.

    Hi, I have a web page with a dynamically generated image map (from a server side charting tool that I have no control over). I have a value for each area in the title attribute that I want to display on top of the image. I could dynamically generate span elements with absolute positioning, but I'm not sure how to calculate the "center" of a poly shaped area to use as coordinates. Is there an easy way to create texts for image map areas? a JQuery plug in perhaps? Do you know a good way to calculate the center of a poly area? Do you have any other suggestions? This is not to prove that the data provider works obviously since I stubbed it, but rather to prove that the correct size was passed in. How can I do this?
