Can't access form elements

Hi, my problem is that my variables are not working in javascript. all variables need names without some character at the beginning, this is the stupid thing...Anyways, im trying to make a funtion that makes "select all checkboxes". Hi, I am trying to execute a program from the Java code. If I remove the "> OutputFileNames.txt" from the getRuntime().exec() method, all the file names are printed on the console just fine. But I need it to be printed to a file. Also, if I change the command to: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec( "cmd \c dir > OutputFileNames.txt"); and run it on Windows, it runs and prints the results in the file perfectly fine too. I have read the other posts for executing another application from Java but none seemed to relate to my problem. I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks,

This works fine - there are no problems with its functionality. However it feels 'slow' and 'sluggish'. Is there a cleaner/faster way to accomplish this task? I am writing a function, that takes a matrix as input, such as the one below. Then the it returns the matrix' inverse, where all the 1s are changed to 0s and all the 0s changed to 1s, while keeping the diagonal from top left to bottom right 0s. An example input: g1 = [[0, 1, 1, 0], [1, 0, 0, 1], [1, 0, 0, 1], [0, 1, 1, 0]] the function should output this: g1 = [[0, 0, 0, 1], [0, 0, 1, 0], [0, 1, 0, 0], [1, 0, 0, 0]] When I run the program, it raises a list index out of range error. I'm sure this happens, because the loops I have set up are trying to access values that do not exist. But how do I allow an input of unknown row and column size? I only know how to do this with a single list, but a list of lists? PGU HTML Renderer can't render most sites

I am trying to make a web browser using pygame. I am using PGU for html rendering. I am guessing the reason for this is that the if statement that checks the type of the input and creates the e variable didn't match anything. I added a line to print the _type variable and I got 'hidden' when i tried google and apple. Is there any way to render form items that have the type 'hidden' with PGU?

HLSL - Combining textures

Hi All, I'm trying to combine two textures in HLSL - specifically, I want to take the alpha values from a base image, and the color data from an overlay image. My pixel shader for this looks like this: float4 PixelShaderFunction(VertexOut input) : COLOR0 { float4 baseColor = tex2D( BaseSampler, input.baseCoords.xy ).rgba; float4 overlayColor = tex2D( OverlaySampler, input.overlayCoords.xy ).rgba; float4 color; color.r = overlayColor.r; color.g = overlayColor.g; color.b = overlayColor.b; color.a = baseColor.a; return color.rgba; } and my blend state looks like this: BlendState bs = new BlendState(); bs.AlphaSourceBlend = Blend.SourceAlpha; bs.AlphaDestinationBlend = Blend.DestinationAlpha; bs.ColorSourceBlend = Blend.SourceColor; bs.ColorDestinationBlend = Blend.DestinationColor; What this leaves me with is a washed out version of what should be the overlay color. I've tried numerous permutations of the BlendState settings, and played with the pixel shader math quite a bit, but to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance =)

Fill fields on a webpage

Hi everyone, I've already asked this question, but it's still too unclear to me, and it seems people haven't understood what I'm trying to do, so I'll try and be clearer. This website: https://www4.polymtl.ca/poly/poly.html is the website I want to fill. What I would like to be able to do, is modify the values of the "nip", "code", and "naissance" fields with text (for example, code being "majuif"). <input type=password name=code size=8 maxlength=8> <input type=password name=nip size=8 maxlength=8> <input type=password name=naissance size=8 maxlength=8> However, I don't know how to do that. And this is my problem. Should I write another HTML file - I don't know if the word "macro" can be used for that, but I'm pretty sure it can - and insert JavaScript in it? Moving checkmarks in checkbox lists after page reload - Firefox only

I'm getting some strange behavior in Firefox whenever I put checkboxes inside a list (ol, ul, dl), and then dynamically insert buttons above the list. If I start with a something simple list like this: <dl class="c"> <dt><label for="a1"><input type="checkbox" id="a1" />one</label></dt> <dt><label for="a2"><input type="checkbox" id="a2" />two</label></dt> <dt><label for="a3"><input type="checkbox" id="a3" />three</label></dt> </dl> and add some jQuery like this: $(document).ready(function(){ var a = $('<button type="button">a</button>'); var b = $('<button type="button">b</button>'); $('<div/>').append(a).append(b).insertBefore($('.c')); }); ...then open it in Firefox, it looks fine at first. But check the first checkbox, reload the page, and the check-mark jumps to the second box. Reload again, and it jumps to the third. Reload yet again, and no checkboxes are left checked. If I leave out one of the buttons by dropping one of the append calls, it's fine. If I change the buttons to divs or something similar, it's fine. If I replace the dl tag with a div (and get rid of the dt tags), it's fine. But I need both buttons, and the checkboxes have to be in a list for what I'm trying to build. Does anybody know what's causing this?

Converting IIS Redirect to .htaccess

I am having trouble getting the rewrite to work on an apache server. The end result is so i can make subdomains on the fly just by adding a directory. For example anysubdomain.domain.com will redirect to domain.com/anysubdomain and still appear as anysubdomain.domain.com. Cannot Resize DIV to anything smaller than maximum width

Quick CSS Question. I cannot seem to figure out a very simple CSS/HTML problem. Here's a JSFiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/BmM6t/ Basically, these two divs are not resizing to anything less than 100% width: <div id="main_pic" class="main_div"> THIS IS WHERE THE MAIN PIC WILL GO. </div> <div id="signin" class="main_div"> SIGN IN TO THE SITE! <form> <label for="name">EMAIL/USERNAME:</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name"> <label for="email">PASSWORD:</label> <input type="text" name="email" id="email"> <br /> <input type="submit" value="Let's Play!"> </form> </div> You'll see that the two divs with class main_div actually take up the entire width of the screen for some reason (you can see that if you inspect the element) even though their widths are clearly written. When you try to change the width of one of the main_div's it changes the width but if you inspect the element, it just changes the width of the object and adds padding around it to make sure it still takes up the entire width of the screen. I'm sure it's some little error I've made but I can't find it. Thanks for the help!

Iterative Reduction to Null Matrix

Here's the problem: I'm given a matrix like Input: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 At each step, I need to find a "second" matrix of 1's and 0's with no two 1's on the same row or column. Then, I'll subtract the second matrix from the original matrix. I will repeat the process until I get a matrix with all 0's. Furthermore, I need to take the least possible number of steps. I need to print all the "second" matrices in O(n) time. In the above example I can get to the null matrix in 3 steps by subtracting these three matrices in order: Expected output: 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 I have coded an attempt, in which I am finding the first maximum value and creating the second matrices based on the index of that value. But for the above input I am getting 4 output matrices, which is wrong: My output: 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 My solution works for most of the test cases but fails for the one given above. Can someone give me some pointers on how to proceed, or find an algorithm that guarantees optimality? Java socket bug on linux (0xFF sent, -3 received)

While working on a WebSocket server in Java I came across this strange bug. I've reduced it down to two small java files, one is the server, the other is the client. The client simply sends 0x00, the string Hello and then 0xFF (per the WebSocket specification). On my windows machine, the server prints the following: Listening byte: 0 72 101 108 108 111 recieved: 'Hello' While on my unix box the same code prints the following: Listening byte: 0 72 101 108 108 111 -3 Instead of receiving 0xFF it gets -3, never breaks out of the loop and never prints what it has received. I need help in trying to use curl to post data to a page and retrieve the results after the form has been submitted. I created a simple form: <form name="test" method="post" action="form.php"> <input type="text" name="name" size="40" />e <input type="text" name="comment" size="140" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit" /> </form> In addition, I have php code to handle this form in the same page. All it does is echo back the form values. The curl that I have been using is this: $h = curl_init(); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_URL, "path/to/form.php"); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, array( 'name' = 'yes', 'comment' = 'no' )); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $result = curl_exec($h); When I launch the page with the curl code in it, I get the form.php page contents but it doesn't not show the variables that PHP should have echo'd when the form is submitted. would appreciate any help with this. Is it possible to get multiple forms to work with one ajax post function

Hey guys I have a system where there is one form for each friend you have and I used to have an ajax post function for each form, but I want to save code and was wondering if it was possible to get multiple forms to work with just one post function. If anyone has any advice on how to achieve this I would appreciate it. I asked a question about arrays before, but this one won't compile

I asked about this array a little while ago, and I can't see what the problem is. Too tired. What have I done wrong? Basically, I am taking a string array and trying to check to see if it contains numbers or an x (ISBN number validation). I want to take the number from a given input (bookNum), check the input, and feed any valid input into a new array (book). At the line 'bookNum.charAt[j]==book[i]' I get the 'not a statement error'. What gives?
