  • Can Rational Team Concert and IntelliJ coexist?

    I am a long time intellij user. The company where I work is likely to introduce Rational Team Concert to our department shortly. I went to the RTC demo and it looks like a reasonable product, built around Eclipse, but I would rather not give up using IntelliJ. Does anyone have experience of using non-eclipse IDEs with RTC?

  • Safari and the z-index flash problem

    Hi everybody, I don't know if it's a classic safari 4 bug, but apparently many people cannot display correctly a non-flash content (div, image, etc.) over a flash animation. I tried everything: The wmode (switching from "opaque" to "transparent"), the z-index and many other div "cheats". Did anyone know if there is a safari 4 patch/trick/script to fix this problem?     I'm looking for a fast, lightweight open-source HTML parser -- something along the lines of a non-validating SAX parser (except, of course, for HTML). The answers to this question cover a parser that generates a DOM (don't want that), and these answers suggest conforming the HTML to XML before sending it to Xerxes (can't do that in my case). Any suggestions?

Let's say I have the following class: [ComVisible(true)] public class Foo { public IEnumerable GetStr() // Generic return type { yield break; } } I know that IEnumerable implements IEnumerable. Can I force tlbexp.exe (via return: attribute or some other way) to expose GetStr() method as a method returning IEnumerbale?

  • Darkening a UIView

    I'd like to "darken" a UIView by a certain amount. Right now, I'm doing the darkening like this: UIView *overlay = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:mainView.bounds]; overlay.backgroundColor = [UIColor blackColor]; overlay.alpha = 0.5f; [mainView addSubview:overlay]; Unfortunately, this also adds a semi-transparent black overlay to parts of mainView that are transparent. Is there any way to only darken the non-transparent sections?

Say I attach this to my key ring, what would be required of the application to triangulate the location of the RFID tag in a 10m range. Would this even be possible using this technology?   • Howcan I get started with Spring Batch?

    I'm trying to learn Spring Batch, but the startup guide is very confusing. Comments like You can get a pretty good idea about how to set up a job by examining the unit tests in the org.springframework.batch.sample package (in src/main/java) and the configuration in src/main/resources/jobs. aren't exactly helpful. Also I find the Sample project very complicated (17 non-empty Namespaces with 109 classes)! Is there a simpler place to get started with Spring Batch?

    I would like to display a Drupal view without the page template that normally surrounds it - I want just the plain HTML content of the view's nodes. This view would be included in another, non-Drupal site. I expect to have to do this with a number of views, so a solution that lets me set these up rapidly and easily would be the best - I'd prefer not to have to create a .tpl.php file every time I need to include a view somewhere.

    In the boost::shared_ptr destructor, this is done: if(--*pn == 0) { boost::checked_delete(px); delete pn; } where pn is a pointer to the reference counter, which is typedefed as shared_ptr::count_type -> detail::atomic_count -> long I would have expected the long to be volatile long, given threaded usage and the non-atomic 0-check-and-deletion in the shared_ptr destructor above. Why isn't it volatile?

  • How to prevent blocking http auth popups on firefox restart with many tabs open

    I am using the latest firefox with tab mix plus and tabgoups manager. I have maybe 50 or 100 tabs oben in different tab groups. When I shutdown firefox and start it again all tabs and tab groups are perfectly rebuilt. But I have also many pages open that are behind a standard http auth, and these pages all request their usernames and passwords. So during startup firefox pops up all these pages' http auth windows. And they block everything else in firefox, they are like modal windows. (I am involved in website development and the beta versions are behind apache http auth.) I have to click many times the OK button in the popups, before I can do anything. All the usernames and passwords are already filled in. (And the firefox taskbar entry blinks and the firefox window heading also blinks, and focus switches back and foth, which also annoys me. And sometimes the popups do not react to my clicks, because firefox is maybe just switching focus somewhere else. This is the worst.) I want a plugin or some way to skip those popups. There are some plugins I tried some time ago, but they did not do what I need, because they require a mouse click for each login, which is no improvement over the situation like it already is. This is not about password storage (because firefox already stores them). But of course, if some password storing plugin could heal this it would be great.

  • Robust, Mature HTML Parser for PHP

    Are there any robust and mature HTML parsers available for PHP? A quick skimming of PEAR didn't turn anything up (lots of classes for generating HTML, not so much for consuming), and Google taught me a lot of people have started and then abandoned a variety of parser projects. Not interested in XML parsers (unless then can consume non-well formed HTML) or hacking it on my own with regular expressions. Clarification of Intent: I'm not interested in filtering of HTML content, I'm interesting in extracting information from HTML documents.
