• Override my ISP's "domain not found" page?

  If I screw up typing a URL, my ISP shoots me over to their branded search page. So if I type "superuser" in my location bar I end up at http://domainnotfound.optimum.net/cablevassist/dnsassist/main/?domain=superuser I'd like my browser to leave the location the way it was and just say "nothing doing," rather than redirecting me to a search. Can I override that in my own /etc/hosts or at my router?

• NGINX access logging with subdomain

  We are trying to log requests made through an nginx load balancer. When we make requests to our server on a subdomain (api.blah.com), the request does not show up in the access logs However, requests made directly to blah.com do show up in the access logs. CONFIGURATION INFO We have a DNS record that creates a CNAME for the subdomain 'api' TRIED SO FAR We have tried looking in nginx.conf for exclusions (or anything that would be telling it to not log) We have tried adding server entries with the subdomain specifically and telling those to log but nothing seems to make a difference

• Wampserver not working in Windows 8

  I recently upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 8 successfully. Other application are working perfectly except wampserver. When I double click on the desk top icon, it shows red on the tray bar and then the color changes but when I click Start All Services, nothing happens. Localhost does not open in webbrowser. Skype is not running on my computer, i don't know if there is other application using the same port in Win8. Please help!

  Hello, I'm trying to sync my music collection between my mac and my linux workstation but fails to mirror from my server share to linux. rsync -avz --progress Music/ /volumes/myserver/music works fine but the reverse on my linux ws doesnt. rsync -avz --progress /path/to/samba/share/music/ ~/Music does nothing.. • Unable to find javac after installing OpenJDK 1.6 and 1.7

  I am currently at a loss as to why this is happening. I did some basic research by running: whereis javac -and- find / -name javac ...and I came up with nothing I searched the web for answers but they all seem to focus on javac existing on the filesystem, and that needs to be done is to restore a missing sym-link. Has anyone run up against this issue and found a solution ? I have attempted to install openJDK on Scientific Linux 6.3 with the command: yum install openjdk Thanks!!!

  I am trying to use GIT to manage my computing projects. But all commands using GIT do not respond on my terminal. For example if I try git --version followed by entry keyboard typing, a blank line appear and wait until ever. If I type again the entry key on my keyboard the command line is again available but nothing appear. It's the same for all git function that I type. • Bugzilla not sending emails, even to the test file?

  I have installed and setup Bugzilla3 for my domain. Everything is working properly except for the email functionality. The server uses Postfix, and that works for my PHP application, and command line. In Bugzilla, I have tried setting the mail_delivery_method to 'test', and nothing shows up in data/mailer.testfile, it is completely blank...
