    a outlook form "c:\meinevorlage.oft" , created with office 2003 can not be opened directly in office 2007. Error: not familiar with the outlook form template .... how can I still open this template directly on computer with office 2007-installations? important: the outlook-form have to be opened by direct selecting and not via outlook-file-new, or as an hyperlink etc. heartfelt thanks in advance.

  • My Ubuntu 12.10 will not start

    I'll boot my computer, then it'll get going, go to a purple screen and then my monitor goes to sleep, i've restarted it several times, and tried to get it to boot, no matter what it keeps going to the black screen. I've tried reinstalling ubuntu, i've even tried both 64 bit, and 32 bit. i have not once got it to a normal boot successfully either.It just won't run in normal boot, so i'm resorted to using safe mode, please help me, idk what to do.

  • Why do some user agents have spam urls in them (and why are they always Opera/Presto User-Agents)?

    If you go to (say) the last 100 entries (visits) to the botsvsbrowsers.com website (exact link, feel free to take a look: http://www.botsvsbrowsers.com/recent/listings/index.html ), you'd notice that almost every User Agent that has the keywords "Opera" and "Presto" inside them, will almost certainly have a web link (URL/Web Address) inside it, and it won't just be a normal web address, but a HTML anchor tag/link to that address. Why is this so, I could not even find a single discussion about it on the internet, nowhere, I tried varying my search terms many times. If the user agent contains the words "Opera" and "Presto" it doesnt mean it will have this weblink, but it means there is about an 80% change that it will. A typical anchor tag/link inside a user agent will look like this: Mozilla/4.0 <a href="http://osis-uk.co.uk/disabled-equipment">disability equipment</a> (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.60 If you check it out at the website, http://www.botsvsbrowsers.com/recent/listings/index.html you will notice that the back and forward arrows are in there unescaped format. This isn't just true for botsvsbrowsers, but several other user agent listing sites. I'm really confused and feel line I'm in a room full of 10,000 people and am the only one seeing this ghost :). If I'm doing statistical analysis, should I include or exclude this type of user agent from my listing (ie: are these just normal users who've set their user agents to attempt to drive some traffic to their sites as they browser the web), or is there something else going on? The fact that it is so consistent in terms of its format leads me to believe that it is an automated process (the setting or alteration of the user agent) so I cannot decide or understand the process by which this change is made (I know how to change a user agent), but unsure which program or facility is doing this, especially since it is exclusive to Opera (Presto) user agents that are beyond I think an 8 or 9 point something browser version. I've run some statistical tests, parsing entries from all over the place, writing custom programs, to get a better understanding of this. Keep in mind that I see normal URL's in user agents infrequently, they are just text such as +http://www.someSite.com appended to a user agent normally, especially if its a crawler or bot it provided its service URL, this is normal and isnt done with an embedded link (A HREF=) etc, so I'm not talking about "those".

    I'm trying to follow the following instructions to add a combobox to a form and add some values to it for the user to pick: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/create-forms-that-users-complete-in-word-HP005230270.aspx I've created a .dot and then dragged a combobox onto the document. When I double-click on it though, it opens up the VBA editor. Do I have to add the items programatically as per the following question How do I add a combobox in Word? or is it possible to do this using the UI? The other question/answer refers to creating a form. Is there a step I've missed between creating a .dot to then create a form somehow before adding form elements to it? Right clicking gives the following menu options: Cut Copy Paste properties View code Combo Box Object - Edit or Convert Format Control Hyperlink Choosing edit allows me to type some text onto the visible part of the control, but doesn't allow me to add multiple options Right-clicking and selecting properties opens the following:

  • how to store and retrieve/generate UI?

    I'm working on a site that will have hundreds, and eventually thousands, of paper products that users can customize online. Here is a very simple sample of what needs to be generated based on the product id: demo. This is a very simple version. I plan on replacing text fields with prettier elements(like the slider on tab 3). I imagine most of this can be achieved via jquery. So basically a product will have multiple pages(tabs), with multiple form elements on each page. I've never done a large scale project like this before and I am looking for ideas/suggestions for how I can store the info for each product that needs to be generated to create the UI. For each product, I need to store how many pages there are, what form fields are on each page, and the order of the fields on the page. As well as setting default text values and form options(font size, etc). Then with all this info stored somewhere, I can have the web app retrieve it and generate the UI with text fields, sliders, and other jquery-ish form enhancements, for that particular product. Can anyone toss out some suggestions, links, blogs, tutorials? I'm not really sure where to begin with this or what I need to start to investigate. I have experience with php, mysql, javascript, jquery, html, css, and that is really about it. I'm open to learning(and would enjoy exploring) new frameworks, programming, etc that will really get this web app working correctly, efficiently, and effectively. Maybe I should start looking into a mvc framework? like i said, i really have no idea what is the best approach. please let me know your suggestions!

  • JS regex isn't matching, even thought it works with a regex tester

    I'm writing a piece of client-side javascript code that takes a function and finds the derivative of it, however, the regex that's supposed to match with the power rule fails to work in the context of the javascript program, even though it sucessfully matches when it's used with an independent regex tester.   • Suggestions on how to map from Domain (ORM) objects to Data Transfer Objects (DTO)

    The current system that I am working on makes use of Castle Activerecord to provide ORM (Object Relational Mapping) between the Domain objects and the database. This is all well and good and at most times actually works well! The problem comes about with Castle Activerecords support for asynchronous execution, well, more specifically the SessionScope that manages the session that objects belong to. Long story short, bad stuff happens! We are therefore looking for a way to easily convert (think automagically) from the Domain objects (who know that a DB exists and care) to the DTO object (who know nothing about the DB and care not for sessions, mapping attributes or all thing ORM). Does anyone have suggestions on doing this. For the start I am looking for a basic One to One mapping of object. Domain object Person will be mapped to say PersonDTO. I do not want to do this manually since it is a waste. Obviously reflection comes to mind, but I am hoping with some of the better IT knowledge floating around this site that "cooler" will be suggested. Oh, I am working in C#, the ORM objects as said before a mapped with Castle ActiveRecord. Example code: By @ajmastrean's request I have linked to an example that I have (badly) mocked together. The example has a capture form, capture form controller, domain objects, activerecord repository and an async helper. It is slightly big (3MB) because I included the ActiveRecored dll's needed to get it running. You will need to create a database called ActiveRecordAsync on your local machine or just change the .config file.     Hi there, This has been doing my head in all day and I have finally decided to resort to asking for help! In my MIDLet I have an instance of the java class ImageFetcher called anImg. Also within my MIDLet I have a command that simply say's fetch, a CommandListener that when detects fetch was clicked runs the function below. This function should simply run public getImage() from the anImg instance of class ImageFetcher which returns an image and then appends/sets this Image onto the form on the display. (You may recognise the getImage() function from the Nokia JavaME Wiki!!!) Instead of any image being displayed this is written to the output terminal in netbeans: Msg: Java.lang.NullPointerException HOWEVER, If I change public getImage() to public static getImage() and replace anImg.getImage() with ImageFetcher.getImage() the image is successfully displayed!!!     I am attempting to create an enrollment process similar to SO's: route to an OpenID provider provider returns the user's information to the UsersController (a guess) UsersController creates user, then routes to the ProfilesController's new or edit action. For now, I'm simply trying to create the user, then route to the ProfilesController's new or edit action (not sure which I should be using).   • Drupal: Create custom search

    I'm trying to create a custom search but getting stuck. What I want is to have a dropdownbox so the user can choose where to search in. These options can mean 1 or more content types. So if he chooses options A, then the search will look in node-type P,Q,R. But he may not give those results, but only the uid's which will be then themed to gather specific data for that user. To make it a little bit clearer, Suppose I want to llok for people. The what I'm searching in is 2 content profile types. But ofcourse you dont want to display those as a result, but a nice picture of the user and some data. I started with creating a form with a textfield and the dropdown box. Then, in the submit handler, i created the keys and redirected to another pages with those keys as a tail. This page has been defined in the menu hook, just like how search does it. After that I want to call hook_view to do the actual search by calling node_search, and give back the results. Unfortunately, it goes wrong. When i click the Search button, it gives me a 404. But am I on the right track? Is this the way to create a custom search? Thx for your help.   • migrating from Prototype to jQuery in Rails, having trouble with duplicate get request

    I'm in the process of migrating from Prototype to jQuery and moving all JS outside of the view files. All is going fairly well with one exception. Here's what I'm trying to do, and the problem I'm having. I have a diary where users can update records in-line in the page like so: user clicks 'edit' link to edit an entry in the diary a get request is performed via jQuery and an edit form is displayed allowing the user to modify the record user updates the record, the form disappears and the updated record is shown in place of the form All of that works so far. The problem arises when: user updates a record user clicks 'edit' to update another record in this case, the edit form is shown twice! In firebug I get a status code 200 when the form shows, and then moments later, another edit form shows again with a status code of 304 I only want the form to show once, not twice. The form shows twice only after I update a record, otherwise everything works fine. Here's the code, any ideas? I think this might have to do with the fact that in food_item_update.js I call the editDiaryEntry() after a record is updated, but if I don't call that function and try and update the record after it's been modified, then it just spits up the .js.erb response on the screen. That's also why I have the editDiaryEntry() in the add_food.js.erb file.   • MVC 3 Remote Validation jQuery error on submit

    I seem to have a weird issue with remote validation on my project. I am doing a simple validation check on an email field to ensure that it is unique. I've noticed that unless I put the cursor into the textbox and then remove it to trigger the validation at least once before submitting my form I will get a javascript error. e[h] is not a function jquery.min.js line 3 If I try to resubmit the form after the above error is returned everything works as expected. It's almost like the form tried to submit before waiting for the validation to return or something. Am I required to silently fire off a remote validation request on submit before submitting my form? Below is a snapshot of the code I'm using: (I've also tried GET instead of POST but I get the same result).     I've been reading the cookbook for a while now and still don't get how I'm supposed to do this: My original problem was this: A related Model isn't being validated From RabidFire's commment: If you want to count the number of Category models that a new Post is associated with (on save), then you need to do this in the beforeSave function as I've mentioned. As you've currently set up your models, you don't need to use the multiple rule anywhere. If you really, really want to validate against a list of Category IDs for some reason, then create a join model, and validate category_id with the multiple rule there. Now, I have these models and are now validating.   • Is there an Easier way to Get a 3 deep Panel Control from a Form in order to add a new Control to it programmatically?

    I have a VB Windows Program Created by someone else, it was programmed so that anyone could Add to the functionality of the program through the use of Class Libraries, the Program calls them (ie... the Class Libraries, DLL files) Plugins, The Plugin I am creating is a C# Class Library. ie.. .dll This specific Plugin Im working on Adds a Simple DateTime Clock Function in the form of a Label and inserts it into a Panel that is 3 Deep. The Code I have I have tested and it works. My Question is this: Is there a better way to do it? for instance I use Controls.Find 3 different times, each time I know what Panel I am looking for and there will only be a single Panel added to the Control[] array. So again Im doing a foreach on an array that only holds a single element 3 different times. Now like I said the code works and does as I expected it to.
