• Finding data file location while using Microsoft Test Framework

  I have been using NUnit and now I am switching to the Microsoft Unit Test frame work. In my test project I have a folder called TestData and I kept all my test input data files there. I want to use that files for my unit testing. In my test code, I am using Application name space and assembly name space but I can not get to the data folder directly until unless I write a code to find and replace some string to point to the data folder. I am sure someone might have run into the same problem, is the solution to change the path through program or is there a API call which will let us get to executing assembly folders? Thanks,

• Sending data between activities within my app?

  Hi, I have a TabActivity, and the tabs point to sub activities. Is there a way I can send a 'message' to those child activities? I just want to pass a string across, not sure if this is possible. I have some data being fetched by the parent TabActivity, and the child tabs can't do anything useful until the parent is done fetching. When fetching is complete, I'd like to pass that data to the child activities so they can do something useful with it. Notmally I'd set the data to be passed in the Intent when first creating the activity, but in this case I can't do that. Thanks

Steps: Clear cache tables (Site Configuration Performance Clear Cached Data button) on localhost Export db and then import on live server Move files/folders to live server Edit settings.php to reflect live server config everything is working great until I make Clear Cached Data on Server. than my custom theme, custom front page, etc... all mess up :( What can be the problem? I appreciate helps so much!! Thanks! !!SORTED!! I used a subtheme for Zen, named mgf . then I had taken a back-up as mgf- somehow after I make Clear Cached Data, Drupal links to this mgf- which is old and doesnt have latest stylings. I just removed this folder from themes, and it linked to the right-latest mgf.

• Best way of obfuscating / encrypting form data on the iPhone

  I want to create an app which holds sensitive information (imagine it's bank account details, thought it's not). The user enters this information on a form the first time the app starts up. I want this info to be saved, and available, any time the user uses the app (without having to enter a password). However, if the iPhone has a password lock on it, and is stolen, I don't want the data to be easily accessible from the file system. What is the best way of encrypting or obfuscating the data? There is not a lot of data, just a dozen NSStrings from the UITextFields on the form. I'm aware there are encryption export restrictions on the iPhone for non-US developers (I am in UK), so I would prefer to avoid going jumping through any of Apple's app submission hoops to get it on the store.

For each value in p_ids, I am looking to list the quantile.   I have been searching around and I cannot figure out how to sumarise the data I have in my data frame (subject to some ranges). I know that it can be done when applying some combination of daaply/taaply or table but I haven't been able to get the exact result I was expecting. I just want to count the number of values for a participant that meet certain condition. If anyone could explain it sort of step by step, I would really appreciate it. • How do i generate random data with RSA?

  After loading my RSACryptoServiceProvider rsa object i would like to create a key for my AES object. Since i dont need to store the AES key (i only need it to decrypt on my prv side) i figure i dont need to store it and i can generate it with my public key. I thought doing rsa.Encrypt(byte[] with 4 hardcoded bytes); would generate the data i need. It turns out everytime i call this function even with the same data i get different results. So theres no way for me to recreate the AES key if its different everytime. How can i generate data with RSA in a way that i can recreate anytime i need?

• JQuery .get() only passing first two data parameters in url

When I look at the dev console in chrome, it shows the URL that gets called, and it only passes action and dbname.   I have a single node hadoop machine in which hbase is running in the amazone ec2 instance. Due to some reason the server got restarted. So i need to start hadoop and hbase again. Then its working fine, but the old data in the hbase cannot be accessed through the web-servies. While i use the shell command its working fine, i am getting the data. So i created the scenario on my local server machine, but its working fine. The version details are as follows. hadoop-0.20.2 hbase-0.90.5 apache-tomcat-7.0.30 in Amazon ec2 medium instance And i use restful web-services with Orm-hbase to access data.

  I currently have an iPhone app that communicates with a C++ server running on a computer, over WiFi. This app is sending its data (x,y coordinates) in a c-struct to the server. For further development, we would like the iPhone application to communicate directly with a java server, however the major issue is that java does not have the ability to emulate or use a c-struct. What would be the best way to send data (x,y coordinates) between the two devices? I can already establish a connection between the two devices.   I've pretty much always used send() with sockets and now I'm moving onto the WSA functions. With send(), I have a sendall() helper that ensured all data is delivered even if it didn't happen in one try and a partial send occurred on first call. So, instead of learning the hard way or over-complicating code when I don't have to, decided to ask you: Can a blocking WSASend() send partial data or does it send everything before it returns or fails? Or should I check the bytes sent vs. expected to send and keep at it until everything is delivered? ANSWER: Overlapped WSASend() does not send partial data but if it does, it means the connection has terminated. I've never encountered the case yet.

Is the widget responsible for translating its post data to a python value? The field itself?   I'm playing around with an idea, and I'm stuck at this one part. I want to read an external HTML page and then extract the data held within two <dd> tags. I've been using file_get_contents with good results, but I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish that last part. The two tags I want to extract the value from are always enclosed within a particular <div>, was wondering if that might help? In my mind it reads the entire html file into a string, then dumps all the data up until this one particular <div>, and dumps all the data after the closing </div>. Is that possible? I think this needs regex syntax which I've never used yet. So any tips, links, or examples would be great! I can provide more info as necessary.

The only slightly more tricky part to this is that in the C# code, the business logic can be run in both cases where there is, or isn't, data in teh table.   I have a data frame with two variables, Date and Taxa and want to get the date for the first time each taxa occurs. There are 9 different dates and 40 different taxa in the data frame consisting of 172 rows, but my answer should only have 40 rows. Taxa is a factor and Date is a date. For example, my data frame (called 'species') is set up like this: Date Taxa 2013-07-12 A 2011-08-31 B 2012-09-06 C 2012-05-17 A 2013-07-12 C 2012-09-07 B and I would be looking for an answer like this: Date Taxa 2012-05-17 A 2011-08-31 B 2012-09-06 C I tried using: t.first <- species[unique(species$Taxa),] and it gave me the correct number of rows but there were Taxa repeated. If I just use unique(species$Taxa) it appears to give me the right answer, but then I don't know the date when it first occurred. Thanks for any help.

  I have a problem where I need to display a lot of forms for detail data for a hierarchical data set. I want to display some relational fields as labels for the forms and I'm struggling with a way to do this in a more robust way. What I'd like is item name and category name for each BudgetValue. When I iterate through the forms each one will be labeled properly. class BudgetValueForm(forms.ModelForm): item = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=Item.objects.all(),widget=forms.HiddenInput()) plan = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=Plan.objects.all(),widget=forms.HiddenInput()) category = "" < assign dynamically on form creation > item = "" < assign dynamically on form creation > class Meta: model = BudgetValue fields = ('item','plan','value') What I started out with is just creating a dictionary of budgetvalue.item.category.name, budgetvalue.item.name, and the form for each budget value. This gets passed to the template and I render it as I intended. I'm assuming that the ordering of the forms in the formset and the querset used to genererate the formset keep the budgetvalues in the same order and the dictionary is created correctly. That is the budgetvalue.item.name is associated with the correct form. This scares me and I'm thinking there has to be a better way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Using a version control system as a data backend

  I'm involved in a project that, among other things, involves storing edits and changes to a large hierarchical document (HTML-formatted text). We want to include versioning of textual changes and of structural changes. Currently we're maintaining the tree of document sections in a relational database, but as we start working on how to manage versioning of structural changes, it's clear that we're in danger of having to write a lot of the functionality that a version control system provides. We don't want to reinvent the wheel. Is it possible that we could use an existing version control system as the data store, at least for the document itself? Presumably we could do so by writing out new versions to the filesystem, and keeping that directory under version control (and programmatically doing commits and so forth) but it would be better if we could directly interact with the repository via code. The VCS that we are most familiar with is Subversion, but I'm not thrilled with how Subversion represents changes to the directory structure -- it would be nice if we could see that a particular revision included moving a section from Chapter 2 to Chapter 6, rather than just seeing a new version of the tree. This sounds more like the way a system like Mercurial handles changes to the structure. Any advice? Do VCS's have public APIs and so forth? The project is in Java (with Spring) if it matters.

  Hi, I have a SqlServer2005 table "Group" similar to the following: Id (PK, int) Name (varchar(50)) ParentId (int) where ParentId refers to another Id in the Group table. This is used to model hierarchical groups such as: Group 1 (id = 1, parentid = null) +--Group 2 (id = 2, parentid = 1) +--Group 3 (id = 3, parentid = 1) +--Group 4 (id = 4, parentid = 3) Group 5 (id = 5, parentid = null) +--Group 6 (id = 6, parentid = 5) You get the picture I have another table, let's call it "Data" for the sake of simplification, which looks something like: Id (PK, int) Key (varchar) Value (varchar) GroupId (FK, int) Now, I am trying to write a stored proc which can get me the "Data" for a given group. For example, if I query for group 1, it returns me the Key-Value-Pairs from Data where groupId = 1. If I query for group 2, it returns the KVPs for groupId = 1, then unioned with those which have groupId = 2 (and duplicated keys are replaced). Ideally, the sproc would also fail gracefully if there is a cycle (ie if group 1's parent is group 2 and group 2's parent is group 1) Has anyone had experience in writing such a sproc, or know how this might be accomplished?
