Building iPhone static library for armv6 and armv7 that includes another static library

Hi, I have an Xcode project that has a "master" static library target, that includes/links to a bunch of other static libraries from other Xcode projects. When building the master library target for "Optimized (armv6 armv7)", an error occurs in the last phase, during the CreateUniversalBinary step. For each .o file of the libraries that is included by the master library, the following error is reported (for example, the FBConnectGlobal.o file): warning for architecture: armv6 same member name (FBConnectGlobal.o) in output file used for input files: /Developer_Beta/Builds/MTToolbox/MTToolbox.build/Debug-iphoneos/MTToolbox.build/Objects-normal/armv6/libMTToolbox.a(FBConnectGlobal.o) and: /Developer_Beta/Builds/MTToolbox/MTToolbox.build/Debug-iphoneos/MTToolbox.build/Objects-normal/armv7/libMTToolbox.a(FBConnectGlobal.o) due to use of basename, truncation and blank padding In the end, Xcode tells that the build has succeeded. However, when using the final static library in an application project, it won't build because it finds duplicate symbols in one part of build (armv6) and misses symbols in the other part of the build (armv7). Any ideas how to fix this? M

Accessing WebKit Devtools JavaScript library

I noticed something in Chrome the other day- I had opened Developer Tools, and then hit view source and was initially surprised to notice that apparently the developer tools window is coded in HTML and JavaScript- you can see that by putting the following into the Chrome address bar: view-source:chrome://devtools/devtools.html Two things struck me- first, the codes copyright belongs to Apple (considering their backing of WebKit, thats not too surprising), and secondly, it appears that you cannot access the JavaScript, CSS or Image files directly through Chrome by clicking on links in the source code. So two questions: Where are the DevTools assets stored on my computer or how can I otherwise access them? Or even better, can someone identify the library that is used and let me know how its licensed? I'm always on the look out for a well implemented UI toolkit- and Devtools looks great.

Django 1.2 object level permissions - third party solutions?

Since Django 1.2 final is almost out, I am curious if there are already projects that use the new object level permissions / row level permissions system. [django-authority][1] which is a possible solution for Django up to 1.1 has not been updated for a while, and does not (yet) use the new permissions system. It seems to me that Django-Authority is in a comatose state. Does someone know about upcoming or maybe even finished solutions? How come my email link in drupal footer message doesn't work?

I was told all I need to do is set input format to 'Full HTML' in drupal to make that work. But it still doesn't work.

I have not found any other questions on Disqus and BlogEngine.NET. Which are the Extreme Programming "core" practices?

Recently, I began reading about agile methodologies and XP in particular. I am a bit confused, though, about what are considered the practices involved in extreme programming. More precisely: Wikipedia reports 12 practices, which I someway believe to be the "classic" ones. Both Kent Beck and Ron Jeffries indicate 13 practices (you can find the links at the bottom of wikipedia page about "Extreme Programming Practices", I cannot post them here since I am new user of Stack Overflow), while this review of Kent Beck's "XP explained" (2nd edition) report more than 20 somewhat different practices. As a complete beginner in the topic (and basically as a complete beginner as a programmer), I would like to be enlightened on the matter. My impression is that I should look at Beck's book, since the second edition has been written after several years of XPerience, but I can find a lot less material based on that.

Dump characters (glyphs) from TrueType font (TTF) into bitmaps

I have a custom TrueType font (TTF) that consists of a bunch of icons, which I'd like to render as individual bitmaps (GIF, PNG, whatever) for use on the Web. You'd think this is a simple task, but apparently not? There is a huge slew of TTF-related software here: http://cg.scs.carleton.ca/~luc/ttsoftware.html But it's all varying levels of "not quite what I want", broken links and/or hard to impossible to compile on a modern Ubuntu box -- eg. dumpglyphs (C++) and ttfgif (C) both fail to compile due to obscure missing dependencies. Any ideas?

Rewriting a Subdomain with mod-rewrite

I have a project that uses the moodle library. I had to change the URL from moodle.example.com to learn.example.com, due to a client request. I thought this would be an easy change, but alas moodle inserts all links and images in with the complete url instead of the relative url. Is it possible using mod-rewrite to point all requests to moodle.example.com to learn.example.com and maintain the query string? Example: I want a request to: http://moodle.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1 to go to http://learn.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1. Is this possible? Thanks, Josh

Flash AS3 Chrome Mailto link issues

Hi I have a problem with flash in Chrome. I have a couple of mailto: links in my flash web page, when clicking on them in chrome they either don't do anything at all, opens up a blank page/tab and no email client or opens an email client once (have to refresh the page in order to click it again). Does anyone know the best way in which to do a chrome supported mailto? Seems to work in all other browsers. I have changed the target to _blank, _parent, _self etc. Plus I have one link actually on the stage and another running through AS. Hope that makes sense, cheers.

Extend RedCloth via Redmine plugin?

Hello, I'm new to Ruby/Redmine/Redcloth but I'm trying to achieve the following: The default way to build a link in Textile is "foo":http://bar. However, 90% of the day I use Atlassian products, which use [foo|http://bar] as link markup. To keep everything a bit uniform I'd like to implement this in Redmine via a plugin. However, it appears that you can't change the macro syntax so instead I'll have to look into extending RedCloth to accept this form of inserting links. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? Hi everyone, i'm trying to realize non-editable QTableView with widgets in cells that should contain clickable listed text. With following code i'm setting widget in definite cell: view = QTableView() label = QLabel( <some html text> ) ... view.setIndexWidget(index, label) I used html to make label's text clickable, but links became blue with underline and moreover by clicking on it with right mouse button appears popup menu with "Copy Link Locaion" option, where i wanted to place some hidden information instead of url and of course do not let user see this info. I'm looking for light-weight widget, i thought that insertion of QGraphicsView in each cell will lead to big computer loads, but can't think of any other solution. Ruby server very slow outside localhost (teambox)

I just installed TeamBox on my Ubuntu 9.10 server. I have it up and running on port 3000 using the provided server script. It's running extremely slow, up to 30 seconds per HTTP request when connecting from another computer. I used links to load up TeamBox from the shell and it took no time at all. I then setup an SSH tunnel and again it was working very fast. I run about 30 vhosts through apache on this server, as well as SAMBA etc and do not have any problems. How can I troubleshoot this problem?

For developing programs for windows, we need windows SDK. I understand that this SDK is what helps to create windows and handle window events and all that. I suppose it also enables us to manipulate with files and registries. (Does the same SDK is the reason for thread creation and handling?) All that is fine! I would like to know what are the files and libraries that come as a part of this SDK. Also does it come when I install the OS or when I install editors like Visual studio? Sometimes I see links to windows SDK separately as such. Is it same as the one that I get when installing Visual Studio or has something more than that.

Within a method, I am using i and j as temporary variables while calculating other variables. What is an idiomatic way of getting rid of i and j once they are no longer needed? Should I use blocks for this purpose? i = positions.first while nucleotide_at_position(i-1) == nucleotide_at_position(i) raise "Assumption violated" if i == 1 i -= 1 end first_nucleotide_position = i j = positions.last while nucleotide_at_position(j+1) == nucleotide_at_position(j) raise "Assumption violated" if j == sequence.length j += 1 end last_nucleotide_position = j Background: I'd like to get rid of i and j once they are no longer needed so that they aren't used by any other code in the method. Gives my code less opportunity to be wrong. I don't know the name of the concept - is it "encapsulation"? The closest concepts I can think of are (warning: links to TV Tropes - do not visit while working) Chekhov'sGun or YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness. Another alternative would be to put the code into their own methods, but that may detract from readability.

That fix it but then [url]http://www.bob.com[/url] will lead to http://http://www.bobsbar.com How would you fix this? I want my users to be able to post links with AND without http:// and i want it to redirect to the site -_- Hope you understand this. I've been wondering this for some time. As the title say, which is faster, the actual function or simply raising to the half power? UPDATE This is not a matter of premature optimization. This is simply a question of how the underlying code actually works. What is the theory of how Python code works? I sent Guido van Rossum an email cause I really wanted to know the differences in these methods. My email: There are at least 3 ways to do a square root in Python: math.sqrt, the '**' operator and pow(x,.5). I'm just curious as to the differences in the implementation of each of these. When it comes to efficiency which is better? His response: pow and ** are equivalent; math.sqrt doesn't work for complex numbers, and links to the C sqrt() function. WWSAPI and setting "soapenv:Header" values

I'm trying to connect to a web service from a C++ app using WWS. I got the base connection working just fine. My XML message has two parts though, a header (soapenv:Header) and a body (soapenv:Body). the generated functions only fill in the body. How do I set the Header information? I assumed it has something to do with WsSetHeader() or WsAddCustomHeader() but can't seam to find the right values to use in the parameters. Can someone point me in the right direction here? I've been googling and trying to research this now for several days and am finding many sources for basic help with WWSAPI, but nothing seams to go deeper into how to use it for more advanced applications. any good links or resources to find more advanced help on WWSAPI? How do I hide an inherited __published property in the derived class in a VCL component?

I have created a new VCL component based on an existing VCL component. What I want to do now is set the Password and Username properties from an ini file instead of the property inspector. Robert Dunn Link I read on the delphi forum above you cannot unpublish a property and that the only workaround is to redeclare the property as read-only. I tried this but it all it does is make the property read only and grayed out in the object inspector. While this could work I would prefer if the property wasn't visible at all. __property System::UnicodeString Password = {read=FPassword}; Thanks in advance for any help or links to c++ VCL component writing tutorials. Loginview control asp.net mvc

Hello all, I have been searching and haven't got luck, I got a tutorial to use the loginview control in order to display or hide parts of the views to different user roles in my application. The thing is that the tutorial I've found is for ASP.NET and I've been told by one of my colleages that it is the same framework for ASP.NET MVC but the way to use it is different. Have you got any good tutorial to recommend? EDIT: I've got all my application set up, and the login and the roles already configured (via asp.net membership provider). This is all already running. The thing is that if I have role a and role b I want role a to be able to actually see the links to the actions it is authorized to work with, and not b for example. If in the Index of my application I've got a link to "Edit" and only the role a can access to the action, then it will be displayed just for logged in users that belong to role a, and not to those who belong to role b Thank you, Vikitor

LaTeX at symbol

What does the @ symbol mean in LaTeX? I'm looking at the source of apa.cls, and there's a declaration: \newsavebox\gr@box and later on \sbox\gr@box{\includegraphics[width=\linewidth]{#2}}. It seems like @ isn't acting as a normal character, but I can't figure out exactly what it's doing, and couldn't find anything after bit of googling (how I would love a Google regex feature!) Thanks. EDIT: Thanks for the help; of the links I looked through I found http://www.tug.org/pipermail/tugindia/2002-January/000178.html to be very helpful and concise. To summarize, the @ character is not normally allowed in the names of macros, so as a hack for scoping, LaTeX packages declare it internally to be a valid name character and use it for their macros. You can use \makeatletter in a document to access these macros, but you obviously must be very careful since you have can now overwrite essential LaTeX kernel macros; use \makeatother to revert.
