• How to connect to a queue manager with ssl enabled server connection channel when authentication is

  I am trying to write a java application connecting to server connection channel with SSL enabled. So far, I have been successfully connected to the channel by setting authentication to 'optional'. However, when I set it to be 'required', the connection fails. Here is what I did: Create key db for queue manager and keystore for the java client user. Create key/self-signed certificates for the queue manager and the client user, with names prefixed ibmwebspheremq. Export, exchange and import certificates for the queue manager and the client. (I did answered 'yes' when being asked whether I trust the queue manager cert). The location and password to the truststore and keystore are set to point to the same keystore at the client side, where the orgininal created client user key and the imported queue manager key are. With other settings being the same, if I switch back to 'optional' authentication, the connection works. I think there is something I understand incorrectly about this ssl authenticaion but cannot figure out what. Could someone kindly help me?

• Android fragments problems different layouts

  I have two layouts: one for portait with one container and another for landscape with two containers. • Cocoa Touch UITableView Alphabetical '#' Match All Unmatched

  I have a UITableView containing names that I would like to group (and sort) by the first letter (similar to the Address Book application). I am currently able to match any section ('A'-'Z') using: // Sections is an array of strings "{search}" and "A" to "Z" and "#". I tried constructing a REGEX match using: [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"name matches '[^a-zA-Z].*'"]; But this fails for diacritic-alpha (duplicate rows appear). • noSQL/SQL/RoR: Trying to build scalable ratings table for the game

  I am trying to solve complex thing (as it looks to me). I have next entities: PLAYER (few of them, with names like "John", "Peter", etc.). Each has unique ID. For simplicity let's think it's their name. GAME (few of them, say named "Hide and Seek", "Jump and Run", etc.). Same - each has unique ID. For simplicity of the case let it be it's name for now. SCORE (it's numeric). So, how it works. Each PLAYER can play in multiple GAMES. He gets some SCORE in every GAME. I need to build rating table -- and not one! Table #1: most played GAMES Table #2: best PLAYERS in all games (say the total SCORE in every GAME). Table #3: best PLAYERS per GAME (by SCORE in particularly that GAME). I could be build something straight right away, but that will not work. I will have more than 10,000 players; and 15 games, which will grow for sure. Score can be as low as 0, and as high as 1,000,000 (not sure if higher is possible at this moment) for player in the game. So I really need some relative data. Any suggestions? I am planning to do it with SQL, but may be just using it for key-value storage; anything -- any ideas are welcome. Thank you!

• Detecting duplicate values in a column of a Datatable while traversing through It

  I have a Datatable with Id(guid) and Name(string) columns. I traverse through the data table and run a validation criteria on the Name (say, It should contain only letters and numbers) and then adding the corresponding Id to a List If name passes the validation. Something like below:- List<Guid> validIds=new List<Guid>(); foreach(DataRow row in DataTable1.Rows) { if(IsValid(row["Name"]) { validIds.Add((Guid)row["Id"]); } } In addition to this validation I should also check If the name is not repeating in the whole datatable (even for the case-sensitiveness), If It is repeating, I should not add the corresponding Id in the List. Things I am thinking/have thought about:- 1) I can have another List, check for the "Name" in the same, If It exists, will add the corresponding Guild 2) I cannot use HashSet as that would treat "Test" and "test" as different strings and not duplicates. 3) Take the DataTable to another one where I have the disctict names (this I havent tried and the code might be incorrect, please correct me whereever possible) DataTable dataTableWithDistinctName = new DataTable(); dataTableWithDistinctName.CaseSensitive=true CopiedDataTable=DataTable1.DefaultView.ToTable(true,"Name"); I would loop through the original datatable and check the existence of the "Name" in the CopiedDataTable, If It exists, I wont add the Id to the List. Are there any better and optimum way to achieve the same? I need to always think of performance. Although there are many related questions in SO, I didnt find a problem similar to this. If you could point me to a question similar to this, It would be helpful. Thanks

• YUI DataTable - Howto have just one paginator?

  Hello, I'm using the YUI DataTable in a Grails 1.1 project using the Grails UI plugin 1.0.2 (YUI being 2.6.1). By default, the DataTable displays 2 paginators: one above and another one below the table. Looking up the YUI API documentation, I could see that I can pass an array of YUI containers as a config parameter but - what are the names of these containers? I've tried loooking at the HTML of the page using Firebug. The ID of the divs containing the paginators are: yui-dt0-paginator0 (above) and yui-dt0-paginator1 (below). If I use them to configure the containers for the navigator, then the navigator is just not displayed at all. • Problem between Glassfish and Spring Security Basic Authentication

  Hi! I am enabling a simple HTTP Basic Authentication with Spring security in my project. My environment is an Glassfish Server (bundled with Netbeans), and almost everything works perfect: I have set up it to just ask for authentication with the POST method, with hardcoded users with "user-service", and it works with user names with no special characters. The problem comes when I set up an user with "@" or "." • SQL Full-Text Indexing Issue

  UPDATE: I have figured out a way using a form of dynamic sql to fix this problem, thanks anyway for any help. Hi, there is something that I need to accomplish with the use of Full-Text Indexing. This is it: The fact of the matter is when I run a query (with a stored procedure) that looks like (with a parameter (@name) that was obviously defined above (not shown here), this parameter is sent to the stored procedure by an asp.net page, from user input): SELECT Name FROMdbo.UsersTable WHERE FREETEXT(Name, @name) Well, the fact of the matter is that a query like this will return values if, say the parameter @name's value is Joe, and say, there are 10 records of names with Joe in them, but if @name's value is just Jo, then it returns nothing, and this is the problem. Say that there are other records in this table that have Jo in them, like for example, Jole, or John. So the real question is, how do I get it to return values that are not full words, or phrases, but just from part of the word/phrase (like I said above)? Like FREETEXT(Name, @name*), which is not allowed to be used as a query, but, you get the idea. Is there a way to accomplish this? I'm sure there must be, I need to figure this out. • What's with the love of dynamic Languages

  It seems that everybody is jumping on the dynamic, non-compiled bandwagon lately. I've mostly only worked in compiled, static typed languages (C, Java, .Net). The experience I have with dynamic languages is stuff like ASP (Vb Script), JavaScript, and PHP. Using these technologies has left a bad taste in my mouth when thinking about dynamic languages. Things that usually would have been caught by the compiler such as misspelled variable names and assigning an value of the wrong type to a variable don't occur until runtime. And even then, you may not notice an error, as it just creates a new variable, and assigns some default value. I've also never seen intellisense work well in a dynamic language, since, well, variables don't have any explicit type. What I want to know is, what people find so appealing about dynamic languages? What are the main advantages in terms of things that dynamic languages allow you to do that can't be done, or are difficult to do in compiled languages. It seems to me that we decided a long time ago, that things like uncompiled asp pages throwing runtime exceptions was a bad idea. Why is there is a resurgence of this type of code? And why does it seem to me at least, that Ruby on Rails doesn't really look like anything you couldn't have done with ASP 10 years ago?

• Calculation Expression Parser with Nesting and Variables in ActionScript

  Hi There, I'm trying to enable dynamic fields in the configuration file for my mapping app, but I can't figure out how to parse the "equation" passed in by the user, at least not without writing a whole parser from scratch! I'm sure there is some easier way to do this, and so I'm asking for ideas! Basic idea: public var testString:String = "(#TOTPOP_CY#-#HISPOP_CY#)/#TOTPOP_CY#"; public var valueObject:Object = {TOTPOP_CY:1000, HISPOP_CY:100}; public function calcParse(eq:String):String { // do calculations return calculatedValue } So far, I was thinking of splitting the expression by either the operators, or maybe the variable tokens, but that gets rid of the parenthetical nesting. Alternatively, use a series of regex to search and replace each piece of the expression with its value, recursively running until only a number is left. But I don't think regex does math (i.e. replace "\d + \d" with the sum of the two numbers) Ideally, I'd just do a find/replace all variable names with their values, then run an eval(), but there's no eval in AS... eesh I downloaded some course materials for a course on compiler design, so maybe I'll just write a full-fledged calculator language and parser and port it over from the OTHER flex (the parser generator) :-D

• HTTP Error: 400 when sending msmq message over http

  I am developing a solution which will utilize msmq to transmit data between two machines. Due to the seperation of said machines, we need to use HTTP transport for the messages. In my test environment I am using a Windows 7 x64 development machine, which is attempting to send messages using a homebrew app to any of several test machines I have control over. All machines are either windows server 2003 or server 2008 with msmq and msmq http support installed. For any test destination, I can use the following queue path name with success: FORMATNAME:DIRECT=TCP:[machine_name_or_ip]\private$\test_queue But for any test destination, the following always fails FORMATNAME:DIRECT=HTTP://[machine_name_or_ip]/msmq/private$/test_queue I have used all permutations of machine names/ips available. I have created mappings using the method described at this blog post. All result in the same HTTP Error: 400. The following is the code used to send messages: MessageQueue mq = new MessageQueue(queuepath); System.Messaging.Message msg = new System.Messaging.Message { Priority = MessagePriority.Normal, Formatter = new XmlMessageFormatter(), Label = "test" }; msg.Body = txtMessageBody.Text; msg.UseDeadLetterQueue = true; msg.UseJournalQueue = true; msg.AcknowledgeType = AcknowledgeTypes.FullReachQueue | AcknowledgeTypes.FullReceive; msg.AdministrationQueue = new MessageQueue(@".\private$\Ack"); if (SendTransactional) mq.Send(msg, MessageQueueTransactionType.Single); else mq.Send(msg); Additional Information: in the IIS logs on the destination machines I can see each message I send being recorded as a POST with a status code of 200.   My Requirement: I have this straight forward requirement of listing names of people in alphabetical order in a Indexed table view with index titles being the starting letter of alphabets (additionally a search icon at the top and # to display misc values which start with a number and other special characters). What I have done so far: 1. I am using core data for storage and "last_name" is modelled as a String property in the Contacts entity 2.I am using a NSFetchedResultsController to display the sorted indexed table view. Issues accomplishing my requirement: 1. First up, I couldn't get the section index titles to be the first letter of alphabets. Dave's suggestion in the following post, helped me achieve the same: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1112521/nsfetchedresultscontroller-with-sections-created-by-first-letter-of-a-string The only issue I encountered with Dave' suggestion is that I couldn't get the misc named grouped under "#" index. What I have tried: 1. I tried adding a custom compare method to NSString (category) to check how the comparison and section is made but that custom method doesn't get called when specified in the NSSortDescriptor selector.   I have multiple forms that are dynamically created with different input names and id's. The only thing unique they will have is the inner HTML of the label. Is it possible to select the input via the label inner HTML with jQuery? • What makes these two R data frames not identical?

  UPDATE: I remembered dput() about the time Sharpie mentioned it. It's probably the row names. Back in a moment with an answer. I have two small data frames, this_tx and last_tx. They are, in every way that I can tell, completely identical. this_tx == last_tx results in a frame of identical dimensions, all TRUE. this_tx %in% last_tx, two TRUEs. Inspected visually, clearly identical. But when I call identical(this_tx, last_tx) I get a FALSE. Hilariously, even identical(str(this_tx), str(last_tx)) will return a TRUE. If I set this_tx <- last_tx, I'll get a TRUE. What is going on? I don't have the deepest understanding of R's internal mechanics, but I can't find a single difference between the two data frames. If it's relevant, the two variables in the frames are both factors - same levels, same numeric coding for the levels, both just subsets of the same original data frame. Converting them to character vectors doesn't help. Background (because I wouldn't mind help on this, either): I have records of drug treatments given to patients. Each treatment record essentially specifies a person and a date. A second table has a record for each drug and dose given during a particular treatment (usually, a few drugs are given each treatment). I'm trying to identify contiguous periods during which the person was taking the same combinations of drugs at the same doses. The best plan I've come up with is to check the treatments chronologically. If the combination of drugs and doses for treatment[i] is identical to the combination at treatment[i-1], then treatment[i] is a part of the same phase as treatment[i-1]. Of course, if I can't compare drug/dose combinations, that's right out.

  Hi, I am trying to display 10 html pages as a single document,with 10 chapters. I am using Webkitgtk+ engine to render the HTML pages. I am getting the content of each html files and concatenating all of them to create a single 'char *content' and using webkit_web_view_load_html_string(WebKitWebView *web_view, const gchar *content, const gchar *base_uri); this function to load all the HTML files, as a document. Now i am trying to build a 'table of contents(toc)' for this document, which displays all the chapter names in order. My requirement is, when i click on a particular chapter in toc, the document should scroll to that point. For that i need to know height of each chapter ( height of each html file content). The point to be noted here is, the width of the document can changed and as HTML is reflowable, as width increases height decreases and vice-versa. So each time when height changes i need to find out the current height of each HTML page(or chapter) and hence calculate the distance to be scrolled. How can i find out the height of content of HTML page dynamically ? Thank you for the answer....

  I have a TableView controller class that uses a fetched results controller to display a list of 'patient' entities taken from a Core Data model. The sections of this table are taken from a patient attribute called 'location'. Here is the sort descriptor for the fetch request: NSSortDescriptor *locationDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"location" ascending:YES]; NSSortDescriptor *lastNameDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"lastName" ascending:YES]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:locationDescriptor, lastNameDescriptor, nil]; Here is the initialisation code for the FRC: NSFetchedResultsController *aFetchedResultsController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:fetchRequest managedObjectContext:managedObjectContext sectionNameKeyPath:@"location" cacheName:@"List"]; When I want to add a new 'patient' entity - I click an add button which then pushes an 'add new patient' view controller to the navigation stack. The first patient I add works fine. If I add a second patient - the app will sometimes crash with the following error: 2010-03-22 14:42:05.270 Patients[1126:207] Serious application error. Exception was caught during Core Data change processing: * -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1) with userInfo (null) 2010-03-22 14:42:05.272 Patients[1126:207] Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '** -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1)' This only seems to happen if the patient's have a location added (if none is added then the location defaults to 'unknown'). It seems to have something to do with the sorting of the location too. For instance, if the first patient location = ward 14 and the second = ward 9 then it crashes without fail. I'm wondering if this is something to do with how I am asking the fetched results controller to sort the section names?? This bug is driving me nuts and I just can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi, How does one handle ties when ranking results in a mysql query? I've simplified the table names and columns in this example, but it should illustrate my problem: SET @rank=0; SELECT student_names.students, @rank := @rank +1 AS rank, scores.grades FROM student_names LEFT JOIN scores ON student_names.students = scores.students ORDER BY scores.grades DESC So imagine the the above query produces: Students Rank Grades Al 1 90 Amy 2 90 George 3 78 Bob 4 73 Mary 5 NULL William 6 NULL Even though Al and Amy have the same grade, one is ranked higher than the other. Amy got ripped-off. How can I make it so that Amy and Al have the same ranking, so that they both have a rank of 1. Also, William and Mary didn't take the test. They bagged class and were smoking in the boy's room. They should be tied for last place. The correct ranking should be: Students Rank Grades Al 1 90 Amy 1 90 George 3 78 Bob 4 73 Mary 5 NULL William 5 NULL If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thank you! -Laxmidi

  I am getting a bit confused with this and need a little help please. I am developing a ASP.Net MVC 3 Web application using Entity Framework 4.1. I have a DropDownList on one of my Razor Views, and I wish to display a list of Full Names, for example Tom Jones Michael Jackson James Brown In my Controller I retrieve a List of User Objects, then select the FirstName and LastName of each User, and pass the data to a SelectList. List<User> Requesters = _userService.GetAllUsersByTypeIDOrgID(46, user.organisationID.Value).ToList(); var RequesterNames = from r in Requesters let person = new { UserID = r.userID, FullName = new { r.firstName, r.lastName } } orderby person.FullName ascending select person; viewModel.RequestersList = new SelectList(RequesterNames, "UserID", "FullName"); return View(viewModel); In my Razor View I have the following @Html.DropDownListFor(model => model.requesterID, Model.RequestersList, "Select", new { @class = "inpt_a"}) @Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.requesterID) However, when I run the code I get the following error At least one object must implement IComparable. I feel as if I am going about this the wrong way, so could someone please help with this? Thanks.

• How do I pass a callback function to sqlite3_exec on iOS 5.1?

  I am new to both xcode/iOS/Objective-C and sqlite. I am trying to teach myself the basics - and I would like to use the sqlite3 wrapper "sqlite3_exec" for a select query. For some reason, I can't find a simple example anywhere of someone doing this. Basically, the method has a parameter (the third one) for a callback function: int sqlite3_exec( sqlite3*, /* An open database */ const char *sql, /* SQL to be evaluated */ int (*callback)(void*,int,char**,char**), /* Callback function */ void *, /* 1st argument to callback */ char **errmsg /* Error msg written here */ ); That's fine. I'm no stranger to callbacks. However, I just can't seem to get the syntax down right. I took over one of the view controllers in my iPad (iOS 5.1) xcode (4.3) project, and made the changes shown below: #import "SecondViewController.h" #import "sqlite3.h" #import "AppState.h" @interface SecondViewController () @end @implementation SecondViewController - (int)myCallback:(void *)a_parm argc:(int)argc argv:(char **)argv column:(char **)column { return 0; } - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. //grab questionnaire names char *sql = "select * from QST2Main order by [Name]"; char *err = nil; sqlite3 *db = [[AppState sharedManager] getgCn]; sqlite3_exec(db, sql, myCallback, nil, &err); } Essentially, I want to run a query when this view first loads, to store some data for later use. But, XCode doesn't like the "myCallback" usage at the bottom there. It says: Undeclared Use of Identifier 'myCallback.' That method is declared in the header file, and I've even tried making it static. Nothing seems to make this error go away. I know I must be doing something fundamentally wrong here, but for the life of me I can't figure out what - I can't even find other code samples in this area that could help me figure out what I'm missing. • Changing FileNames using RegEx and Recursion

  Hello I'm trying to rename files that my program lists as having "illegal characters" for a SharePoint file importation. The illegal characters I am referring to are: ~ # % & * {} / \ | : < ? - "" What i'm trying to do is recurse through the drive, gather up a list of filenames and then through Regular Expressions, pick out file names from a List and try to replace the invalid characters in the actual filenames themselves. Anybody have any idea how to do this? • SSL certificate exception problem in Firefox

  Hi there, and thanks in advance for your help or any tip that could get me out of here. I work on a JEE app with a JBoss server and an Apache. I'm not really familiar with SSL connections and certificates, I understand the basic, but I have to deal with it. So on my local configuration (localhost) I have my connection certificate configured on JBoss and Apache, and a USER_DEV.P12 file, which I import in my certificates in Firefox. I have the same configuration on a distant test server (test-server), and a USER_TEST.P12 which I also import in Firefox. When I access https://localhost/ or https://test-server/ Firefox asks me to add an exception, which is normal. After that, I select the appropriated user certificate, and can use my application normally. But for the second (let's say https://test-server/), Firefox rises me a sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial error. Of course I googled it and founded the Mozilla help, So when I delete the "server" in my certificate manager, I can access again my second domain, but the same problem occurs for the first one. To shorten the problem, my 2 client/server certificate couples are OK but I can't have 2 certificate exceptions at the same time in Firefox for my 2 different servers/users, even though the names, server address, and MD5 are different. I notified the serial is the same (01), but it's working on my colleague's computer. So am I doing something wrong? Do I have to deal with it manually each time (or with Firefox profiles)?
