  • How do you get the language from a session in Joomla?

    I have some code that sets the lang var to the site default language. $lg = &JFactory::getLanguage(); $lg = explode('-',$lg->_default); $dlg = $lg[0]; if(!JRequest::getWord('lang', false )) JRequest::setVar('lang', $dlg ); however before setting it to $dlg I would like to find out if the language is stored in the user information or session. Can someone tell me how to check the session for language information?

    Yes, I am needing to know what the total number possible IPs in the public IPv4 space. I'm not sure where to even get a neat list of all the IP address ranges, so could someone point me to a resource to calculate this myself or calculate the total number of IPs for me? Also, by Public IPs I mean not counting reserved or private-range IP addresses.. Only the ones that can be access through the internet.

  • MongoDB query against geospatial index with maxDistance fails from node.js client

    I want to query against a geospatial index in mongo-db (designed after this tutorial http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Geospatial+Indexing). So when I execute this from the shell everything works fine: db.sellingpoints.find(( { location : { $near: [48.190120, 16.270895], $maxDistance: 7 / 111.2 } } ); but the same query from my nodejs application (using mongoskin or mongoose), won't return any results until i set the distance-value to a very high number (5690) db.collection('sellingpoints') .find({ location: { $near: [lat,lng], $maxDistance: distance / 111.2} }) .limit(limit) .toArray(callback); Has someone any idea how to fix that?

    First I create a setup from a project, and I install it. When the program reads and writes from app.config, I get an UnauthorizedAccessException. This works perfect in visual studio, but with creating a setup and installing it, it always crashes at this point. Someone who knows how to solve this? Thanks

    I need to implement a priority queue where the priority of an item in the queue can change and the queue adjusts itself so that items are always removed in the correct order. I have some ideas of how I could implement this but I'm sure this is quite a common data structure so I'm hoping I can use an implementation by someone smarter than me as a base.     I'm wondering if the following method will completely prevent CSRF, and be compatible with all users. Here it is: In the form just include an extra parameter that is: encrypted(user's userID + request time). Server-side just decrypt and make sure it's the right userID and the request time was reasonably recent. Aside from someone sniffing the user's traffic, is this completely secure? Are there any downsides?
