  • Relative connection string to AzMan XML store when using security application block

    Is it possible to specify a relative connection string for an AzMan XML store? My current connection string is connectionString="msxml://c:/azman.xml" but I really need to make that relative so other developers and automated builds can get the latest authorization store. MS documentation seems to suggest that connectionString="msxml://azman.xml" should work but that throws a The request is not supported error. EDIT: I realised that the fact I'm using AzMan through the Enterprise Library Security Application Block was important to the question.

    I expirience strange behavior when doing HTTP requests through sockets, here the request: POST https://test.com:443/service/XMLSelect HTTP/1.1 Content-Length: 10926 Host: test.com User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Authorization: Basic XXX SOAPAction: http://test.com/SubmitXml Later on there goes body of my request with given content length. After that I recive something like: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 06:13:52 GMT So everything seem to be fine here. I read all contents from network stream and successfuly recieve response. But my socket which I'm doing polling on switches it's modes like that: write ( i write headers and request here ) read ( after headers sent i begin to recieve response ) write ( STRANGE BEHAVIOUR HERE. WHY? here i send nothing really ) read ( here it switches to read back again ) last two steps can repeat several times. So I want to ask what leads for socket's mode change? Nothing else happens. My phone is iPhone.

And what should go in view tests? If I'm "following the rules" and only putting loops, conditionals, and echoes in my views, then what is there left to test?

For example, they enter their favorite food: userid favorite food ------ ------------- 1 french fries 2 tacos 3 fish sticks 4 chipotle When I use Facebook Authentication, what identifier will I use for the userid? I'm assuming it's not name, since this would create duplicates. Is it just the person's Facebook ID? Also is the correct API to use for 3rd party websites 'Facebook Connect' or 'Facebook Authorization' or something else?

I imagine there would be config files of some sort that tell it how to map web service requests to database queries (or other DB commands). It would also need to handle authentication and authorization, of course. I've done some googling but failed to find anything that fits the bill. Can anyone suggest something like this?

    I use HttpURLConnection to do HTTP POST but I dont always get back the full response. I wanted to debug the problem, but when I step through each line it worked. I thought it must be a timing issue so I added Thread.sleep and it really made my code work, but this is only a temporary workaround. I wonder why is this happening and how to solve. I found that its under "user_likes games".
