  • How to recreate the UITabBarItem image filter?

    - by boliva
    Hi, I'm writing a custom UITabBar replacement, and I would like to know how to recreate the filter that the built-in implementation does with the UITabBarItem image - that blue shining on selected tabs and gray gradient on unselected ones. I guess it's a matter of using the source image alpha value as a mask and overlay it with a pre-made blue (or whatever color) shining image and another one grayed out, but I would like to know what is the best approach from a code point of view. Best,

  • CSS: remove stubborn underline from link

    - by dmr
    I am attempting to have a link show up in white, without an underline. The text color shows up correctly as white, but the blue underline is stubbornly persisting. I tried text-decoration: none; and text-decoration: none !important; in the CSS to remove the link underline. Neither worked. How can I remove the blue underline from the link?

  • How can I use a php array in a mysql search query?

    - by ThinkingInBits
    I was going to use the scuttle solution on: http://www.pui.ch/phred/archives/2005/04/tags-database-schemas.html for handling searches on my website. I was wondering how I could take the search input from a user and turn it into a single query. For instance, let's say a user inputted 'blue dogs' in their search query... How could I dynamically update the query to include ('blue', 'dogs') in union and intersection queries?

  • How to store enum values in a NSMutableArray

    - by Oysio
    My problem is since an enum in objective-c essentially is an int value, I am not able to store it in a NSMutableArray. Apparently NSMutableArray won't take any c-date types like an int. Is there any common way to achieve this ? typedef enum { green, blue, red } MyColors; NSMutableArray *list = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects: green, blue, red, nil]; //Get enum value back out MyColors greenColor = [list objectAtIndex:0];

  • Detecting Markers Using OpenCV

    - by Hamza Yerlikaya
    I am trying to detect various objects containing colored markers, so a red blue green marker identifies object A, and a red blue red marker identifies object B. My problem is I can't use template matching cause objects can be rotated, currently I am thinking about check for each color then find the object by checking the distance between colors but it seems inefficient, so my question is there a better way to do this?

Could anyone help me to have it fire when the click is EXACTLY on the oval. Thanks in advance.

  • Jquery toggle function that doesn't return false?

    - by Tom
    Hi, Is it possible to stop the automatic preventDefault() from applying in a simple Jquery toggle function? $(".mydiv").toggle( function () { $(this).addClass("blue"); }, function () { $(this).removeClass("blue"); } ); The above prevents elements inside the div from responding normally to the click. It doesn't have to be the toggle() function - anything that allows toggling a class on and off AND doesn't return false would be great. Thanks.

  • How to add changebar in latex?

    - by Rabarberski
    In Latex, I've created a new command 'changedtext' to mark specifics parts in my document and make it appear blue: \newcommand{\changedtext}[1]{\textcolor{blue}{#1} } Is there any easy way to alter the command to have change bars appear next to the text in the resulting PDF? If not possible, any other suggestion for a visual markup (other than change bars) that would be clear on a black & white printout would be useful as well.

  • Displaying bitmaps in relative positions

    - by JonF
    I'd like to put a couple images on a surfaceview. I understand that the screen sizes of android devices can vary, so I don't think I can just use an x y position or I might end up placing it off different screens. Say I want to put two boxes in the center of the screen, a blue one and a red one. The blue one is to the left of the red one. How can I accomplish that while accounting for different screen sizes?

  • Python: Comparing specific columns in two csv files

    - by coder999

I don't care about column 1. What's the most pythonic way of doing this? EDIT: Some example code would be appreciated.

  • Line up swing components by edges

    - by rasen58
    Is it possible to line up swing components? The components are in separate panels which both use flow layout. These two panels are in another panel which is using a grid layout. As you can see there is a subtle difference and I find it annoying. I know that all of the jlabels [the rectangles in blue/purple all have the same size, so i think it might be because of the '+' and '*', but I'm not sure because the left sides of the first two boxes aren't lined up. the panels JPanel panel2 = new JPanel(new GridLayout(4, 1)); JPanel panel2a = new JPanel(new FlowLayout()); JPanel panel2b = new JPanel(new FlowLayout()); the first two rectangles (purple) add1 = new JLabel("", JLabel.CENTER); add1.setTransferHandler(new TransferHandler("text")); add1.setBorder(b2); add2 = new JLabel("", JLabel.CENTER); add2.setTransferHandler(new TransferHandler("text")); add2.setBorder(b2); the two blue rectangles textFieldA = new JTextField(); textFieldA.setHorizontalAlignment(JTextField.CENTER); textFieldA.setEditable(false); textFieldA.setBorder(new LineBorder(Color.blue)); textFieldM = new JTextField(); textFieldM.setHorizontalAlignment(JTextField.CENTER); textFieldM.setEditable(false); textFieldM.setBorder(new LineBorder(Color.blue)); the + and * opA = new JLabel("+", JLabel.CENTER); opS = new JLabel("*", JLabel.CENTER); Showing that the rectangles are the same size Dimension d = card1.getPreferredSize(); int width = d.width + 100; int height = d.height + 50; add1.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); add2.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); mult1.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); mult2.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); textFieldA.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); textFieldM.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width, height)); Adding to the panels panel2a.add(add1); panel2a.add(opA); panel2a.add(add2); panel2a.add(enterA); panel2a.add(textFieldA); panel2c.add(mult1); panel2c.add(opM); panel2c.add(mult2); panel2c.add(enterM); panel2c.add(textFieldM); panel2.add(panel2a); panel2.add(panel2c);

  • CSS: a:link vs just a (without the :link part)

    - by Rob
    So we're required to use the following order for CSS anchor pseudo-classes a:link { color: red } a:visited { color: blue } a:hover { color: yellow } a:active { color: lime } But my question is why bother with the a:link part? Rather, is there any advantage to the above (other than perhaps clarity) over: a { color:red; } /* notice no :link part */ a:visited { color: blue; } etc.,etc.
