Collapse span when input button is hidden

I have a style that wraps around an input button, so the button can be styled very creatively. When the button is hidden in .Net, i would like the style to collapse so it renders like its hidden as well. What the style does, as a result of no value in the button or its hidden, is it keeps a small shape. Can't interact with children of an itemRenderer in Flex 4 Gumbo

I thought this would be pretty easy but I'm running into all sorts of problems with this. I have an ItemRenderer with a an image and two labels. I want to assign separate mouse events to the image and two labels. It seems like the item renderer is treated like a single interactive piece and I haven't found a way to override that. I couldn't even disable the default rollover effect so I had to style the rollOverColor to match my background. Problem with ColdFusion communicating with MySQL database

Hi, I have been working to migrate a non-profit website from a local server (running Windows XP) to a GoDaddy hosting account (running Linux). Most of the pages are written in ColdFusion. Things have gone smoothly, up until this point. There is a flash form within the site (see this page: http://www.preservenet.cornell.edu/employ/submitjob.cfm) which, when completed, takes the visitor to this page: submitjobaction.cfm . I'm not quite sure what to make of this error, since I copied exactly what had been in the old MySQL database, and the .cfm files are exactly as they had been when they worked on the old server. Am I missing something? Below is the code from the database that the error seems to be referring to. When I change "Positionlat" to some default value in the database as it suggests in the error, it says that another field needs a default value, and it's a neverending chain of errors as I try to correct it. This is probably a stupid error that I'm missing, but I've been working at it for days and can't find what I'm missing. I would really appreciate any help. SIGSEGV problem

I'm designing a protocol (in C) to implement the layered OSI network structure, using cnet (http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/cnet/). I'm getting a SIGSEGV error at runtime, however cnet compiles my source code files itself (I can't compile it through gcc) so I can't easily use any debugging tools such as gdb to find the error. How do I get the next token in a Cstring if I want to use it as an int? (c++)

My objective is to take directions from a user and eventually a text file to move a robot. Our T.A.'s expect us to google and find all the answers because they are aware we've never been taught these methods. Everyone in my lab is having much more trouble than usual. I don't know the code to write but I know what I want my program to do. I want it to execute like this: 1) Ask for directions. 2) cin.getline the users input 3) tokenize the inputed string 4) if the first word token == "forward" move to the next token and find out how many inches to move forward then move forward 5) else if the first token == "turn" move to the next token. if the next token == "left" move to the next token and find out how many degrees to turn left I will have to do this for forward x, backward x, turn left x, turn right x, and stop(where x is in inches or degrees). I already wrote functions that tell the robot how to move forward an inch and turn in degrees. I just need to know how to convert the inputted strings to all lowercase letters and move from token to token and convert or extract the numbers from the string to use them as integers. Need help with yum,python and php in CentOS. (I made a complete mess!)

a while back I wanted to install some plugins for Trac but it required python 2.5 I tried installing it (I don't remember how) and the only thing I managed was to have two versions of python (2.4 and 2.5). Trac still uses the old version but the console uses 2.5 (python -V = Python 2.5.2). Anyway, the problem is not python, the problem is yum (which uses python). I am trying to upgrade my PHP version from 5.1.x to 5.2.x. iptables DNS resolution

I have a virtual machine with Fedora 19 acting as a router. This machine as an interface (p8p1) with the IP 172.16.1.254 that is connected to another machine (IP 172.16.1.1) that's simulating the external network. I've installed snort 2.9.2.2, applied the snortsam-2.9.2.2.diff.gz patch and installed snortsam 2.70 on the routermachine In snort.conf besides altering some RULE_PATH I believe I've only added the following line to the file. output alert_fwsam: 127.0.0.1:898/password After doing this two comands: ifconfig p8p1 promisc /usr/local/snort/bin/snort -v -i p8p1 If I ping from the external network to the router IP, I can see the info about the pings. Why do I get "ignoring out-of-zone data" when restarting BIND

I've been using my own DNS server but then I moved to a third part DNS provider. Yesterday I wanted to go back to using my own DNS's and cancel this third party service. I've lowered TTL in current DNS conf, changed DNS info in GoDaddy for my domain and that's when problems started. My domain seems to be working only for some people but not for others so clearly something is wrong. Where should I go with hosting my site: VPS, GAE, another option?

My website, http://JonathansCorner.com/, began life before 1994 as www.imsa.edu/~jhayward/ and has been through various iterations and improvements to content, HTML, and the like, but remains a literature site that is from a web administrator's perspective fairly simple and primitive: a fair amount of static HTML and supporting files, a little bit of CGI and URI rewriting, .htaccess files providing Expires: headers and the like. An associated site demoes various CGI scripts that fall under the category of "and other creations"; the site as a whole has the purpose of sharing my creative works, and so far a fairly rudimentary use of Apache functionality, supported by Unix tools to, for instance, update RSS feed and the "starting point" link on the home page, has served that purpose fairly well. I looked around here on web hosting, and found the note on web host reccommendations as a good note for "What are some of people's favorite web hosts overall," but I wanted to ask a more focused question of "What are the best web hosts for criteria XYZ:" I am looking at a VPS so I will have root, be able to install stuff and edit Apache's config files etc., running Gentoo or other Linux, BSD, or the like. I would like a system that is secure enough that the host's vulnerabilities are mostly the ones that come along with what I am trying to do: that is, I won't be trying to administer and secure an ancient Linux like some have complained about at 1and1. I would like good uptime/reliability and competent support staff: if the level 1 help desk is going to tell me to go to "My Computer" on a Linux box, I'd like to be able to get past them. Ideally I would like a site hosted within some place that will have low latency for U.S. visitors in particular. I would like a hosting solution that will be with a stable business, one that will probably be around, and one unlikely to vanish without warning. With those things specified, I would be interested in knowing what are the less expensive options. (I expect that some of the things I've specified will knock out all of the cheapest options, but I'm still interested in price.) With all that stated, I'd like to back up a bit and look at whether I am asking the right question. I am concerned that the above is a very good way of asking, "How can I keep my site in line with the wave of the past?" I am wondering if it might be specifically wiser to look to adapt my site to newer technologies instead of trying to keep it on older technologies. For instance, while I would hardly portray my site as a way to show off the full power of Google App Engine, the main site at least should be a straightforward port if I were to do that. And beyond Google App Engine, my knowledge of cloud solutions is basic. If it is a better and more future-proof solution to port my site to another kind of solution, I would be interested in knowing where those future-proof solutions lie. So I would be interested in wisdom. If the question I asked in detail is still a good question to be asking, what would people suggest? Or if I should seriously consider porting my site to a newer basic option, what should I try there? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Unison synchronization problem. Roots are not identical after synchronization.

Hi. When I synchronize two folders using Unison, only one of the roots seems to be affected. Below are all the information I would think is necessary to figure out why it is working like it is. RTS style fog of war woes

So I'm trying to make a rts style line of sight fog of war style engine for my grid based game. Currently I am getting a set of vertices by raycasting in 360 degree. Then I use that list of vertices to do a graphics style polygon scanline fill to get a list of all points within the polygon. The I compare the new list of seen tiles and compare that with the old one and increment or decrement the world vision array as needed. The polygon scanline function is giving me trouble. Is there a way to fix this, or a better way to do what I described? Thanks
