  • Getting NoClassdef on HMAC_SHA1 in Webpshere

    - by defjab
We have WAS 6.0 (I know) .2.43 ND running in multiple regions. Our Dev-B region runs fine, but Dev-C throws a java exception when we make web-calls (at least this is what the developer tells me)...Same code in both regions and I checked the obvious suspects (Global security, SSL ciphers etc) and they all seem to match. Here's the stack trace from SystemErr: [8/1/12 4:02:31:758 EDT] 0000005c ServletWrappe E SRVE0068E: Could not invoke the service() method on servlet action. • Error in loading component property (Swing GUI Forms)

    - by Christo Du Preez
For no apparent reason all my Swing GUI forms using components linked to org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter started generating errors when trying to open the Design View: Error Error in loading component property: [JPanel]-filterTextField-converter. Cannot load property type class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter. The property cannot be loaded. Errors occurred in loading... I'm currently using Netbeans 6.8. I opened my project in Netbeans 6.7.1 and all was fine but after a while the same thing happened. Looking at the .form and .java files and comparing it to previous backups, everything looks fine. Even my Netbeans tutorial project no longer works. What can cause this. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. After further investigation this is taken from my IDE's log : INFO: msg org.openide.ErrorManager$AnnException: msg at org.openide.ErrorManager$AnnException.findOrCreate(ErrorManager.java:867) at org.openide.ErrorManager$DelegatingErrorManager.annotate(ErrorManager.java:650) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.annotateException(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:230) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.annotateException(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:240) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getPropertyType(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2362) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadProperty(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2041) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadBindingProperties(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2627) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:900) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.restoreComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:845) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:979) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.restoreComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:845) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadNonVisuals(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:695) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadForm(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:529) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadForm(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:290) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor$3.run(FormEditor.java:339) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormLAF$2.run(FormLAF.java:287) at org.openide.util.Mutex.doEventAccess(Mutex.java:1355) at org.openide.util.Mutex.readAccess(Mutex.java:317) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormLAF.executeWithLookAndFeel(FormLAF.java:272) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor.loadFormData(FormEditor.java:337) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor.loadForm(FormEditor.java:266) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditorSupport.loadForm(FormEditorSupport.java:306) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditorSupport$3.run(FormEditorSupport.java:457) at java.awt.event.InvocationEvent.dispatch(InvocationEvent.java:209) at java.awt.EventQueue.dispatchEvent(EventQueue.java:597) at org.netbeans.core.TimableEventQueue.dispatchEvent(TimableEventQueue.java:125) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpOneEventForFilters(EventDispatchThread.java:269) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForFilter(EventDispatchThread.java:184) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForHierarchy(EventDispatchThread.java:174) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:169) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:161) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:122) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Will not load class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter arbitrarily from one of ModuleCL@738d08[org.jdesktop.beansbinding] and ModuleCL@167e3a5[javax.beans.binding] starting from SystemClassLoader[556 modules]; see http://wiki.netbeans.org/DevFaqModuleCCE at org.netbeans.ProxyClassLoader.loadClass(ProxyClassLoader.java:241) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:252) at org.netbeans.modules.form.project.FormClassLoader.findClass(FormClassLoader.java:83) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:307) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:252) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:320) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:247) at org.netbeans.modules.form.project.ClassPathUtils.loadClass(ClassPathUtils.java:95) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormUtils.loadClass(FormUtils.java:1445) at org.netbeans.modules.form.PersistenceObjectRegistry.loadClass(PersistenceObjectRegistry.java:95) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getClassFromString(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:5516) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getPropertyType(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2348) ... 27 more msg Error in loading component property: Other Components-mainPanel-jTextField1-converter Cannot load property type class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter. • Design Patterns: What is a type

    - by contactmatt
A very basic question, but after reading the "Design Patterns: Elements of reusable OO Software" book, I'm a little confused. The book states, "An object's type only refers to its interface-the set of request to which it can respond. An object can have many types, and objects of different classes can have the same type." Could someone please better explain what a Type is? I also don't understand how one object can have multiple types...unless the book is speaking of polymorphism....

  • Program Structure Design Tools? (Top Down Design)

    - by Lee Olayvar
I have been looking to expand my methodologies to better involve Unit testing, and i stumbled upon Behavioral Driven Design (Namely Cucumber, and a few others). I am quite intrigued by the concept as i have never been able to properly design top down, only because keeping track of the design gets lost without a decent way to record it. So on that note, in a mostly language agnostic way, are there any useful tools out there i am (probably) unaware of? Eg, i have often been tempted to try building flow charts for my programs, but i am not sure how much that will help, and it seems a bit confusing to me how i could make a complex enough flow chart to handle the logic of a full program, and all its features.. ie, it just seems like flow charts would be limiting in the design scheme.. or possibly grow to an unmaintainable scale. BDD methods are nice, but with a system that is so tied to structure, tying into the language and unit testing seems like a must (for it to be worth it) and it seems to be hard to find something to work well with both Python and Java (my two main languages). So anyway.. on that note, any comments are much appreciated. I have searched around on here and it seems like top down design is a well discussed topic, but i haven't seen too much reference to tools themselves, eg, flow chart programs, etc. I am on Linux, if it matters (in the case of programs).

  • DoFactory Architecture Design

    - by Brendan Vogt
Hi, Has anybody used the Patterns in Action from the Do Factory? I just have a question on the architecture. I always thought that the service must call the repository. In the solution the have ActionService and a repository. Lets say I want to get all the customers then in my controller I would call the repository's GetCustomers method. This will then call ActionService's GetCustomer's method. And then lastly another GetCustomers method is called in the customer data access object. Is this right? Any comments on the way that they implemented things in the Patterns in Action?

  • How should I implement items that are normalized in the Database, in Object Oriented Design?

    - by Jonas
How should I implement items that are normalized in the Database, in Object Oriented classes? In the database I have a big table of items and a smaller of groups. Each item belong to one group. This is how my database design look like: +----------------------------------------+ | Inventory | +----+------+-------+----------+---------+ | Id | Name | Price | Quantity | GroupId | +----+------+-------+----------+---------+ | 43 | Box | 34.00 | 456 | 4 | | 56 | Ball | 56.50 | 3 | 6 | | 66 | Tin | 23.00 | 14 | 4 | +----+------+-------+----------+---------+ Totally 3000 lines +----------------------+ | Groups | +---------+------+-----+ | GroupId | Name | VAT | +---------+------+-----+ | 4 | Mini | 0.2 | | 6 | Big | 0.3 | +---------+------+-----+ Totally 10 lines I will use the OOP classes in a GUI, where the user can edit Items and Groups in the inventory. It should also be easy to do calculations with a bunch of items. The group information like VAT are needed for the calculations. I will write an Item class, but do I need a Group class? and if I need it, should I keep them in a global location or how do I access it when I need it for Item-calculations? Is there any design pattern for this case?

  • RPi and Java Embedded GPIO: Sensor Connections for Java Enabled Interface

    - by hinkmond
Now we're ready to connect the hardware needed to make a static electricity sensor for the Raspberry Pi and use Java code to access it through a GPIO port. First, very carefully bend the NTE312 (or MPF-102) transistor "gate" pin (see the diagram on the back of the package or refer to the pin diagram on the Web). You can see it in the inset photo on the bottom left corner. I bent the leftmost pin of the NTE312 transistor as I held the flat part toward me. That is going to be your antenna. So, connect one of the jumper wires to the bent pin. I used the dark green jumper wire (looks almost black; coiled at the bottom) in the photo. Then push the other 2 pins of the transistor into your breadboard. Connect one of the pins to Pin # 1 (3.3V) on the GPIO header of your RPi. See the diagram if you need to glance back at it. In the photo, that's the orange jumper wire. And connect the final unconnected transistor pin to Pin # 22 (GPIO25) on the RPi header. That's the blue jumper wire in my photo. For reference, connect the LED anode (long pin on a common anode LED/short pin on a common cathode LED, check your LED pin diagram) to the same breadboard hole that is connecting to Pin # 22 (same row of holes where the blue wire is connected), and connect the other pin of the LED to GROUND (row of holes that connect to the black wire in the photo). Test by blowing up a balloon, rubbing it on your hair (or your co-worker's hair, if you are hair-challenged) to statically charge it, and bringing it near your antenna (green wire in the photo). The LED should light up when it's near and go off when you pull it away. If you need more static charge, find a co-worker with really long hair, or rub the balloon on a piece of silk (which is just as good but not as fun). Next blog post is where we do some Java coding to access this sensor on your RPi. Finally, back to software! Ha! Hinkmond

  • Oracle Java Cloud Service - Platform as a Service for Your Java Applications

    - by GeneEun
Oracle Java Cloud Service is an enterprise grade Platform as a Service for developing, testing, and deploying business applications. For Java developers, Java Cloud Service provides the power, flexibility, and performance of a true Java EE container in the cloud. Java Cloud Service delivers one of the key advantages of the Java platform, the ability to “write once, run anywhere”. Because of the standards-based approach, there's no need to worry that applications you build and deploy are forever locked into the Oracle Cloud.  In fact, you can use Java Cloud Service just as you would an on-premise Java EE environment and deploy your Java applications on a Java Cloud Service instance as-is. Provisioning of Java Cloud Service instances is self-service and takes only minutes, making access to Java environments both quick and easy. Java Cloud Service instances are also automatically associated with Oracle Database Cloud Service instances, so there's no complex setup involved in order to get a complete application environment up and running. If you're attending Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco this week, I'm sure you've seen that there are many sessions covering Oracle Cloud services, including Java Cloud Service. Each session will provide a wealth of information, so I highly recommend you consult your conference schedule and try to check them out. In the meantime, here's a short video about Java Cloud Service. Enjoy!

  • how do you read from system.out in Java [closed]

    - by Dan
I'm trying to create a word scramble game and so far I have taken a vector of randomly assorted strings that contains both words and hints and split them into two vectors. I have randomly scrambled the word and set this all up in text boxes. Right now I'm stuck because I have a text box that takes input but I'm not sure how to read that in? I want the user to type the unscrambled word into the text box and have it calculate as correct and move on to the next word immediately. I also don't know how to get the keys working. I want the "?" character to be the hint button that shows the hint. At the moment the hint box works if I type the question mark in using the System.in but it doesn't work if I type it directly in to the text box. The characters are showing up in the text box but nothing is working after that.

  • Site/Project to convert in Java web pages as it is now with complete functionality, look and feel.

    - by pirzada
I have completed a web site Surfrainbow using ASP.NET and working fine. Completely dynamic with back-end management and Ajax support. This site has to be 100% same as in Java considering look and feel. Conversion is for learning purpose. I am new to Java and learning it fast. I don't want to know how to learn Java. Just want to know what is needed for this project to work in Java related technologies. Want to know How would you handle this project. My questions are 1 - What technologies I will be needing to make this project like Servlets, JSP, JSF etc? 2 - What is needed for Ajax support. Is JQuery supported :)? 3 - What should be used for MVC? 4 - ASP.NET has master pages to simplify design. Anything like this in Java? 5 - Which IDE is best for Java development. JDeveloper/NetBeans? Anything else you can share. Thanks

Here are the config files: application: @Configuration @EnableWebMvc @ComponentScan(basePackages = "com.package.myapp.web") @ImportResource({"classpath:com/package/appbase/appbase-context.xml"}) @Import(com.package.identityaccess.IdentityAccessAppConfig.class) public class IMSAppConfig extends WebMvcConfigurerAdapter { @Override public void addResourceHandlers(ResourceHandlerRegistry registry) { registry.addResourceHandler("/resources/**").addResourceLocations("ims/resources/"); } } identity-access: @Configuration @ComponentScan(basePackages = "com.package.identityaccess") @EnableJpaRepositories(entityManagerFactoryRef = "identityAccessEntityManagerFactory", value = "com.package.identityaccess") @EnableTransactionManagement public class IdentityAccessAppConfig { @Autowired UserRepository userRepository; @Bean public DataSource identityAccessDataSource() throws IOException, SQLException { return new SelfConfiguringBasicDataSource(System.getProperty("db_properties_path") + "/dev.oracle.properties", ""); } @Bean public Map<String, Object> identityAccessJpaProperties() { Map<String, Object> props = new HashMap<>(); props.put("eclipselink.weaving", "false"); props.put("eclipselink.target-database", OraclePlatform.class.getName()); return props; } @Bean public JpaVendorAdapter identityAccessJpaVendorAdapter() { EclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter = new EclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter(); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setDatabasePlatform(OraclePlatform.class.getName()); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setGenerateDdl(false); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setShowSql(true); return eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter; } @Bean public PlatformTransactionManager identityAccessTransactionManager() throws IOException, SQLException { JpaTransactionManager txManager = new JpaTransactionManager(); txManager.setEntityManagerFactory(identityAccessEntityManagerFactory().getObject()); return txManager; } @Bean public LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean identityAccessEntityManagerFactory() throws IOException, SQLException { LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean lef = new LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean(); lef.setDataSource(identityAccessDataSource()); lef.setJpaPropertyMap(identityAccessJpaProperties()); lef.setJpaVendorAdapter(identityAccessJpaVendorAdapter()); lef.setPackagesToScan("com.package.identityaccess"); return lef; } @Bean public AuthenticationService authenticationService() { return new AuthenticationServiceImpl(userRepository); } } module2: @Configuration @ComponentScan(basePackages = "com.package.myapp.core") @EnableJpaRepositories("com.package.myapp.core.domain") @EnableTransactionManagement public class ModuleTwoAppConfig { @Bean public DataSource dataSource() { EmbeddedDatabaseBuilder embeddedDatabaseBuilder = new EmbeddedDatabaseBuilder(); embeddedDatabaseBuilder.setType(EmbeddedDatabaseType.HSQL); embeddedDatabaseBuilder.addScript("setup.sql"); return embeddedDatabaseBuilder.build(); } @Bean public Map<String, Object> jpaProperties() { Map<String, Object> props = new HashMap<>(); props.put("eclipselink.weaving", "false"); props.put("eclipselink.ddl-generation", "create-tables"); props.put("eclipselink.target-database", HSQLPlatform.class.getName()); return props; } @Bean public JpaVendorAdapter jpaVendorAdapter() { EclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter = new EclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter(); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setDatabasePlatform(HSQLPlatform.class.getName()); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setGenerateDdl(true); eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter.setShowSql(true); return eclipseLinkJpaVendorAdapter; } @Bean public PlatformTransactionManager transactionManager() { JpaTransactionManager txManager = new JpaTransactionManager(); txManager.setEntityManagerFactory(entityManagerFactory().getObject()); return txManager; } @Bean public LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean entityManagerFactory() { LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean lef = new LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean(); lef.setDataSource(dataSource()); lef.setJpaPropertyMap(jpaProperties()); lef.setJpaVendorAdapter(jpaVendorAdapter()); lef.setPackagesToScan("com.package.myapp.core.domain"); return lef; } } UserRepository (uses spring-data): public interface UserRepository extends JpaRepository<User, Long> { @Query("select u from User u where u.user_id = ?1") User findByUserId(String userId); } Can you see any problems with what I've done?

  • Choosing a Java Web Framework now?

    - by hbagchi
we are in the planning stage of migrating a large website which is built on a custom developed mvc framework to a java based web framework which provides built-in support for ajax, rich media content, mashup, templates based layout, validation, maximum html/java code separation. Grails looked like a good choice, however, we do not want to use a scripting language. We want to continue using java. Template based layout is a primary concern as we intend to use this web application with multiple web sites with similar functionality but radically different look and feel. Is portal based solution a good fit to this problem? Any insights on using "Spring Roo" or "Play" will be very helpful. I did find similar posts like this, but it is more than a year old. Things have surely changed in the mean time! EDIT 1: Thanks for the great answers! This site is turning to be the best single source for in-the-trenches programmer info. However, I was expecting more info on using a portal-cms duo. Jahia looks goods. Anything similar?
