  • Turn Function or Stored Procedure Result into "live" Result for LINQ

    Is it possible to turn result sets obtained in LINQ through a stored procedure or function call into a "live" set of objects of which I can retrieve Foreign Key related objects? If, for example, my stored procedure returns a set of rows (= LINQ objects) of type "Contact", then I can't seem to obtain Contact.BillingAddress (which is related by Foreign Key). Any idea how to make this work?

    I am looking for a way to programmatically obtain the path to the app.config file from within a Windows Service executable. The build process changes App.config to program-name.exe.config and I could do something like: var configFile = Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "program-name.exe.config"); However, I'm looking for some way of obtaining the config file name at runtime that doesn't involve hard coding the exe name into the application. ConfigurationManager has some way of doing it, so it must be possible.

    Sorrry guys, I'm stuck here. I have a few grids, I also have CollectionViewSource objects associated with those grids. Now, I'm trying to apply CollectionViewSource.SortDescriptions in ColumnHeaderClick method, and now I have to define almost the same method for each grid. But the only thing I really need is to obtain in which Grid is happenning. How to get that, I have no idea. Help me please. VisualTreeHelper.GetParent didn't work.

    How can you programmatically measure per-process (or better, per-thread) CPU usage under windows 95, windows 98 and windows ME? If it requires the DDK, where can you obtain that? Please note the Win9x requirement. It's easy on NT. EDIT: I tried installing the Win95/98 version of WMI, but Win32_Process.KernelModeTime and Win32_Process.UserModeTime return Null (as do most Win32_Process properties under win9x).

I am attempting to obtain PCI compliance for my site but the Mcafee security scan has thrown a: Potential Sensitive Persistent Cookie Sent Over a Non-Encrypted (SSL) Channel Drupal (default behavior) sets a session cookie when you simply arrive at the site. This is causing the problem. Clearly, the entire site shouldn't be under SSL; plenty of other sites set session cookies like this. What gives?

This may be a result of calling to UIKit from a secondary thread. Crashing now... Is there any way for me to figure out where [54112:5e1b] is in my code, so I can try to narrow down the error?     Hi, I am using Visual Studio 2008 Professional with TestDriven.NET 2.14.2190, Windows XP (x86). When i right click on my unit tests project, test with - Coverage, I obtain the following output: NCover couldn't create a coverage report. and the result: 0 Passed, 0 Failed, 0 Skipped I have no other versions of NCover installed, just the VS and TestDriven .NET The actual testing is performed as expected - all tests successfully pass (so, there's nothing wrong with my class) Does anyone know what could be the problem?
